Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.894407 Composed by Daniel Butterfield. Arranged by Zack Richards. Contemporary,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic. Score and parts. 17 pages. Zack Richards #5754059. Published by Zack Richards (A0.894407). Taps has always been near and dear to me for almost as long as I've played the Trumpet. I have played it more times than I can count. I was the Bugler for our local Boy Scout troop, playing Taps at many campouts and events to signal the end of the day. I also played it with our High School Marching Band for Memorial Day services, including an incredibly special one at my grandfather's gravesite shortly after his passing. He had served in the Army during World War II. I also played it for several funerals, including my Uncle's, who had served in the Marines. For some time, I had volunteered for our local VFW to play for Veteran's funerals. My High School Trumpet teacher and numerous other people in my life are Veterans and have made a huge impact on me. I decided to write this arrangement to give tribute to those and all Veterans and Service Members. It is also a way of helping the Echo Taps Worldwide cause. Echo Taps Worldwide was first done on May 19, 2007, in recognition of Armed Forces Day at National Cemeteries, State Veterans Cemeteries and American Battle Monuments Cemeteries overseas. The idea is that at gatherings across the world on Armed Forces Day, Buglers play Taps in succession, with one beginning as the previous ends, to honor those who have sacrificed so much. I was fortunate to play as a part of this during Armed Forces Day celebrations in Ashtabula for several years. The intention is also to bring attention to the dire need for buglers to play for Veteran's funerals across the world. If you can, please look into volunteering for your local organizations to play Taps. From Thomas Day, a Marine veteran who founded Bugles Across America in 2000, A live bugler performing Taps is an expression of the Nation’s appreciation for the service of each veteran...With more than 600,000 veterans dying each year, we are always looking for new volunteers to perform this valuable service. All of these works are available individually or all together in my United We Stand Collection at a considerable discount.S0.1059689 United We Stand Collection Zack Richards Music Minus One SeriesEach of these works for Trumpet Ensemble also have a corresponding arrangement for Solo Trumpet with an mp3 accompaniment track in my Zack Richards Music Minus One Series.S0.1059735 Echo Taps for Solo TrumpetS0.1059689 United We Stand Collection Zack Richards Music Minus One SeriesTrumpet Ensemble5-10 B-flat TrumpetsIntermediateApprox. 2:30Visit zackrichards.com for more from this composer!

5 Famous Songs by Bach for Recorder Quartet
Quatuor de Flûtes à bec
Alto Recorder,Bass Recorder,Soprano Recorder,Tenor Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download
(+)
Alto Recorder,Bass Recorder,Soprano Recorder,Tenor Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1137832 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. Recorder Ensemble. 44 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738086. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1137832). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for recorder quartet, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. 3: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works. 4: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. 5: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Bonus: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism, where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1137849 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 44 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738108. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1137849). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for clarinet quartet, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Tenor Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138516 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738857. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138516). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for tenor saxophone trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire.

Choral Choir,Choral (3-Part) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576393 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary,Sacred,Spiritual. 9 pages. David Warin Solomons #20919. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576393). St Helen's church in Hollinfare celebrated its 500th anniversary in 1997 and invited the gentlemen of Manchester Cathedral Choir to sing at the celebratory service. The service included a Te Deum and Jubilate, which I wrote especially for the purpose. The Te Deum is a full setting with organ and alto, tenor and bass singers. The Jubilate is a psalm chant. Both are available on this site. The sound sample in each case is the original performance. The words of the Te Deum are: We praise thee, O God : we acknowledge thee to be the Lord. All the earth doth worship thee : the Father everlasting. To thee all Angels cry aloud : Â the Heavens, and all the Powers therein. To thee Cherubim and Seraphim : continually do cry, Holy, Holy, Holy : Lord God of Hosts; Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty : of thy glory. The glorious company of the Apostles : praise thee. The goodly fellowship of the Prophets : praise thee. The noble army of Martyrs : praise thee. The holy Church throughout all the world : doth acknowledge thee; The Father : of an infinite Majesty; Thine honourable, true : and only Son; Also the Holy Ghost : the Comforter. Thou art the King of Glory : O Christ. Thou art the everlasting Son : of the Father. When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man : thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb. When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death : thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers. Thou sittest at the right hand of God : in the glory of the Father. We believe that thou shalt come : to be our Judge. We therefore pray thee, help thy servants : whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious blood. Make them to be numbered with thy Saints : in glory everlasting. O Lord, save thy people : and bless thine heritage. Govern them : and lift them up for ever. Day by day : we magnify thee; And we worship thy Name : ever world without end. Vouchsafe, O Lord : to keep us this day without sin.O Lord, have mercy upon us : have mercy upon us. O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us : as our trust is in thee. O Lord, in thee have I trusted : let me never be confounded.

B-Flat Trumpet Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.894419 Composed by Daniel Butterfield. Arranged by Zack Richards. Contemporary,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic. Individual part. 4 pages. Zack Richards #6426687. Published by Zack Richards (A0.894419). I decided to write this arrangement to give tribute to all Veterans and Service Members and to help the Echo Taps Worldwide cause. Composed by Bach, Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque, Easter, Renaissance, Sacred, Wedding. 51 pages. Woods Only Music #6748251. Published by Woods Only Music
This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach\'s most famous and versatile pieces for saxophone quintet, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther\'s A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. You can also buy each one individually by checking right at the end of each description of each work.<br> <br> 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach\'s Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called \"Air on the G String\" dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the \"Air on the G String\". This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. ID: S0.1189781<br> <br> 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach\'s favorite librettists. ID: S0.1189985<br> <br> 3: Jesu, joy of man\'s desiring - This is one of Bach\'s most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary\'s Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata \"Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben\". Score and part. 10 pages. Jmsgu3 #3447443. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552841). Baritone Horn version of Moment Musicaux, Op. 94 (D. 780) No. 3 by Franz Schubert, published in 1828. Duration: 1:53 Score 6 pg. 54 ms. Alto Sax 1 pg. Piano part 3 pg. One of Schubert's most well-known pieces. This is an effective recital encore due to its brevity and range of expression. Could work well for a variety of occasions: wedding receptions, church services (Easter), and anniversaries. It seems like a pleasant dance, unlike some previous dance music. Schubert improvised these dances at parties for his friends.  Although conceived on-the-fly, these dances are the work of a genius. Composers have similarly elevated dance music to artistic status. As a result, they freed it from the original purpose of dancing. Certainly, the older masters used the dance forms as vehicles for complex treatments. Here, however, Schubert retains the dance-like quality while finally expressing his innermost thoughts and emotions. The dance is certainly filled with a doleful expression, yet the texture remains even more light and refined. Therefore, to perform these with sensitivity we probably need to use a light but accurate touch. The accompaniment pattern needs to be crisp and delicate – probably even in the more forceful parts. The piano pedal should also be used very carefully so as a result not to blur the outline. Instead, it should contribute to the dynamic quality of the piece. Schubert Franz Schubert (1797–1828) was, in fact, a famous Austrian composer. Moreover, he composed during the late Classical and early Romantic periods. Schubert was comparatively prolific. He wrote more than 600 secular vocal works, seven symphonies, and, correspondingly, a massive amount of piano and chamber music. Critics agree, as a matter of fact, that his most famous works include his Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667 (also known as the Trout Quintet), the Symphony No. 8 in B minor, D. 759 (Unfinished Symphony), the last sonatas for piano (D. 958–960), and the song cycles Die schöne Müllerin (D. 795) and Winterreise (D. 911). Education Schubert was furthermore a musical child prodigy. He studied violin with his father as well as piano with his older brother. In addition, when Schubert was eleven he studied at Stadtkonvikt school, where he became familiar with the orchestral music of Haydn, Mozart, and likewise Beethoven. In due time he left school and returned home where he studied to become an educator; nevertheless, he continued studying composition with Antonio Salieri. Performance Eventually, Schubert was admitted to the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde as a performer. This appointment straightaway established his name in Vienna as a composer and pianist. Finally, he gave his only composition recital in 1828. He died suddenly a few months later probably due to typhoid fever. Legacy Schubert’s music was by and large underappreciated while he was alive. There were all in all only a few enthusiasts in Vienna. After he died, however, interest in his work in fact increased. Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, and other famous composers in due time discovered his compositions. Nowadays, historians rank Schubert expressly among the greatest composers of the era, and his music remains in general very popular.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976711 Composed by Isaac Watts / Lowell Mason. Arranged by Robert Myers. Christian,Easter,Sacred. Octavo. 31 pages. WheatMyer Music #4775085. Published by WheatMyer Music (A0.976711). When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, written by the Father of English Hymnody, Isaac Watts, in 1707 and later matched with Lowell Mason’s 1824 tune, HAMBURG, has long stood at the forefront of English hymnody. This arrangement, taken from my Passion Week cantata, Wounded, Bleeding, Still Proceeding, allows the full talent-spectrum of the Body of Christ to contemplate His sacrifice and offer their devotion. The first two stanzas feature an alto/soprano duet, set in a minor key with frequent diminished and augmented chords to reflect the despair and loss of a witness to the crucifixion. The entire third stanza, set for SATB chorus, never really moves off the F minor tonic until the end. That, and the relentless pounding of the bass line, ponders the witnesses anguish and our vicarious experience of it through Scripture. So, sing these stanzas sadly – they are sad! When the choir enters, be sure to observe the swelling crescendos/diminuendos as the sorrow and love mingle together. The fourth stanza offers optional congregational participation and may be used to provide a responsorial to the Word of God or a preparation for the Table. The choir sings this stanza in four part harmony as the congregation joins on the melody. It stays in a major key and closely follows the traditional consonances used in Lowell Mason’s harmonization; thus, the choral parts will feel familiar and the congregational melody will flow naturally. Take the text literally (Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.) and sing it firmly, enthusiastically, passionately, but never triumphantly. Sing it as a song of personal devotion to commit all that you have, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, to the one who humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Phil 2:8b) so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor 5:21)The music is well within the grasp of any ensemble competent with traditional SATB anthems. The piano/organ accompaniments are straightforward yet very colorful. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross is an unapologetic Christian worship anthem suitable for sacred services, yet does not compromise on artistic expression. The parts provided in this version include a full score, a piano-vocal octavo (which may be performed alone), and organ and timpani/percussion parts. Neither organ or timpani are required but adding either or both provides a deep and rich experience. Parts for reduced orchestra (strings and single winds) are available separately.

Harpsichord,Instrumental Duet,Viola da gamba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1265431 Composed by Dr. John Bull, 1562-1628. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Contest,Early Music,Festival,Historic,Renaissance. 6 pages. Jmsgu3 #858250. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1265431). John Bull was an English composer, organist, virginalist, and organ builder who lived from 1562/63 to 1628. He was educated as a chorister of the Chapel Royal in London and later became a doctor of music at the universities of both Oxford and Cambridge. Bull was one of the most famous composers of keyboard music of the early 17th century, and most of his compositions were written for the virginal, a keyboard instrument popular in the Renaissance period. He was known for his outstanding technical ability and keyboard virtuosity, and his music is distinguished by unfailing resourcefulness in devising new musical ideas. Bull's reputation rests on his extensive compositions for virginals and organ, some 150 extant pieces, published in Musica Britannica. He was also one of the contributors to Parthenia, a collection of keyboard music published in 1611. Bull wrote an anthem, God the Father, God the Son, for the wedding in 1613 of the Princess and the Elector Palatine, in addition to his keyboard compositions, verse anthems, canons, and other works. Bull's music ranked among the foremost composers along with Byrd, Gibbons, and Tomkins.John Bull had several contemporaries who were also prominent composers during the Renaissance period. Some of these composers include:William Byrd: Byrd was an English composer and one of the most influential figures in English Renaissance music. He was a contemporary of John Bull and is considered one of the greatest composers of his time. Byrd's compositions include sacred choral music, keyboard works, and consort music.Orlando Gibbons: Gibbons was an English composer and organist who lived during the same period as John Bull. He was known for his sacred choral music, particularly his anthems and verse anthems. Their expressive harmonies and intricate counterpoint characterize Gibbons' compositions.Thomas Tomkins: Tomkins was another English composer active during the same time as John Bull. He was known for his sacred choral music, including anthems and services. Tomkins' compositions are notable for their rich harmonies and expressive melodies.Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck: Sweelinck was a Dutch composer and organist who was highly regarded during the Renaissance period. He was known for his keyboard music, particularly his variations and fantasies. Sweelinck's compositions had a significant influence on Bull and other composers of the time. These composers, along with John Bull, were influential figures in the development of Renaissance music and made significant contributions to the repertoire of keyboard and choral music during that era.
