Piano Quartet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1329920 Composed by James E. Andersson. 19th Century,21st Century,Classical,Comedy,Contemporary. 35 pages. Sahale Studios #917904. Published by Sahale Studios (A0.1329920). Once there was an oboist who was a member of a chamber ensemble consisting of flute, oboe, cello, and, piano. The oboist was highly skilled; a virtouoso who could ornament without the slighest effort. They were notorious for doing so.One day during dress rehearsal, the oboist, familiar enough with the music began ornamenting and adding stylistic flourishes, becoming increasingly carried away with their part. It finally reaches a point where the others stop playing and let the oboe go completely overboard with a full cadenza. Not far into the solo, the oboe realizes everyone else has stopped playing and stops themself and the rehearsal continues. However, not much farther along, the oboist becomes carried away in their part again, resulting in the other musicians pausing again as the oboist proceeds into another cadenza passage before realizing the others have stopped again. The rehearsal continues, and they all get further along (due to the oboe simply not playing), but when the oboe plays the melody, the ornaments and finesse return in full display, and finally the piano cuts the oboe off. At the slightest hint of an ornament all the other musicians in the ensmeble join in and cut off the oboe. From this, the oboist sinks into low spirits. The rehearsal continues unabated through the next section, and when the oboist enters, they play their part as written, but the ornamentations begin creeping in again. But rather than admonish the oboist the others instead speed the music up into the recapitulation section and for the remainder of the piece and rehearsal they all go wild with flourishes and ornamentations of their own, bringing the piece to a rollicking and lively conclusion.

Clarinet Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,Contra Alto Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764956 Composed by Lori Archer Sutherland. Contemporary,Folk,Standards. 50 pages. Lori Archer Sutherland #4597193. Published by Lori Archer Sutherland (A0.764956). For clarinet choir (Eb, 4 Bb, Alto, Bass, Eb Contra, Bb Contra. Alternate Bb parts included for Eb and Alto. Basset horn part included (doubles Alto)).You may print multiple parts as needed for your ensemble. The Monk’s Turned Topsy-Turvy is an original fantasy for clarinet choir, based on the old French-Canadian children’s song, Ah! Si mon moine voulait danser! (Danse, mon moine, danse). The title is a play on words: moine means both monk and spinning top in French. The lyrics speak of persuading mon moine to dance by offering various articles of clothing, such as a hood or cap. After a brief, yet bold, introduction, the piece jumps into a straightforward rendition of the tune. From there, the melody is repeated, bringing in other voices and added flourishes. While the tune starts to repeat a third time, it doesn’t get to finish its full statement. It’s interrupted by a run up through the ensemble into a rollicking 7/8 section. With a rhythmic accompaniment underneath, the jaunty melody begins in the third clarinets. The upper instruments take over briefly in 6/8, then the tune returns to 7/8. After a quick breather, the accompaniment introduces an upward sweep motif. This alternates with the accompaniment pattern heard at the beginning of the 7/8 section. The lower voices then take control, driving downward into a different tonality and mood. An undulating accompaniment sets a dreamlike feel, with different voices quoting fragments of the theme. The accompaniment transfers between voices throughout the section, eventually changing back into a 3/4, then a 2/4 feel, resulting in a transition back to the original feel of the piece. The low voices get the melody, with rhythmic accompaniment and racing runs throughout the other sections. The melody goes a bit topsy-turvy before the group comes together in the descending quarter note motif from the beginning of the piece, bringing us to the coda. There’s one final quote of the opening of the main theme from the low voices, leading to a whirlwind in the first and Eb with accented notes and suspensions underneath. The Eb pipes up with one last comment and the group closes out the piece. Also available for concert band (S0.708971)

String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942953 Composed by Geoffrey Peterson. Contemporary. Score and parts. 43 pages. Geoffrey Peterson #4267231. Published by Geoffrey Peterson (A0.942953). Link to complete recording: https://soundcloud.com/geoffrey-peterson/sets/the-edmund-fitzgerald-concerto On November 9th, 1975, the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald left port in Superior, Wisconsin. The 729-foot-long iron ore carrier, loaded with 26 thousand tons of taconite pellets for the auto industry, was bound for Detroit. Earlier that day, the weather service had issued a gale warning. This was not unusual, considering that gale storms are typical during November on Lake Superior. The Fitzgerald’s Captain, Ernest McSorley, and her 29-member crew headed northeast unaware of the maelstrom they would soon encounter. At around 2 a.m., Bernie Cooper, captain of the Arthur M. Andersen, another freighter which was following a few miles behind the Fitzgerald, radioed Captain McSorley to consult with him about the worsening storm. They had both decided to take a more northerly route along the Canadian shore, which they hoped would provide some shelter from the violent gale winds and waves. The Fitzgerald’s long-range radar stopped working the following day and was needed in order to avoid Six-Fathom Shoal, a shallow area of Lake Superior that could rupture the ship’s hull. McSorley soon radioed the Anderson to report that the Fitzgerald had sustained some topside damage...a fence rail down, two vents lost or damaged, and a starboard list. A list meant that the Fitzgerald was taking on too much water and was causing it to lean to one side. The short-range radar also stopped working, and the radio direction beacon from nearby Whitefish Point vanished. This would make it impossible for the Fitzgerald to reach the lee waters of Whitefish Bay and escape the 80 mph winds churning 20 to 30-foot waves. At 7:10 p.m. that night, First Mate Morgan Clark of the Andersen radioed the Fitzgerald to see how they were doing. Captain McSorley replied, We’re holding our own. This was the last contact anyone would have with the Fitzgerald. Shortly thereafter, the Edmund Fitzgerald disappeared from the Anderson’s radar screen. All 29 of her crew were lost on November 10th, 1975. The Edmund Fitzgerald chronicles the tragic final voyage of the well-known shipwreck in 4 movements; Embarkment, The Gales, Six-Fathom Shoal (We’re holding our own.) and Entombment-Dirge. The concerto makes use of several musical quotes. The first is Spanish Ladies, an English sea chantey, which appears in both the 1st and 3rd movements. The second is the funeral march theme from the 2nd movement of Beethoven’s 3rd Symphony which is heard in the 4th movement of the concerto. In addition, a chime is rung 29 times during the final bars of the concerto to memorialize the men who lost their lives. The Crew of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald: Michael E. Armagost, Frederick J. Beetcher, Thomas D. Bentsen, Edward F. Bindon, Thomas D. Borgeson, Oliver J. Champeau, Nolan S. Church, Ransom E. Cundy, Thomas E. Edwards, Russell G. Haskell, George J. Holl, Bruce L. String Quartet - Intermediate - Digital Download By Panic! At the Disco. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Score, Set of Parts. 21 pages. Published by Sarah Chaffee
"High Hopes" was released by Panic! At The Disco in 2018 as a single from their sixth studio album, "Pray For The Wicked." This upbeat, catchy song soon became a smash hit, reaching number 4 on the Billboard charts and becoming their highest-charting single of all time. This arrangement for string quartet has the exuberant energy, rich harmonic layers, driving beat, and dynamic impact of the original, and it's absolutely as much fun to play as it is to listen to! Great for parties, corporate events, solo & ensemble contests, or even weddings and receptions, it's a guaranteed crowd pleaser and you're sure to get your audience singing along. This arrangement is dedicated to a good friend of mine who was in P!ATD's string section on their "Pray For The Wicked" tour -- Kiara, it was so much fun watching you play this song with them! Rated intermediate, this chart will be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals. There is nothing above first position in the V2, viola, and cello parts, and only a few notes higher than that in V1. There are a few tied rhythms in but nothing too complicated.<br> <br> Why choose Cellobat Charts arrangements? For any musician who knows what they're doing, the answer is easy: just listen to them. Every freelance musician has thrown hard-earned money away on questionable, error-filled charts by unknown arrangers from weird corners of the Internet. But watch out -- inferior arrangements not only make gigs less enjoyable to play, but they also make your group sound bad to your client and audience, no matter how great your players really are. That's why Cellobat Charts is here: to provide students and working string players alike with high-quality versions of highly requested music. My arrangements are guaranteed to be energetic, fun to play, and enjoyable to listen to, whether or not you're familiar with the original songs. Hear the difference for yourself! Full videos of many Cellobat Charts arrangements are available on YouTube so you know exactly what you're getting. Click "Watch" near the item details at the top of the page for full video of "High Hopes." Crowd pleasing guaranteed.<br> <br> <br> Sarah "Cellobat" Chaffee earned her bachelor's degree in cello performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and is now based in Las Vegas. She currently performs with Aerosmith in their "Deuces Are Wild" residency at The Park MGM Theater on the Las Vegas Strip. Large Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Guitar,Clarinet,Drums,Flute,Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.876447 Composed by Joe Procopio. Dance,Jazz,Pop. Score and parts. 24 pages. JoeCopio Music LLC #53323. Published by JoeCopio Music LLC (A0.876447). LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) Back to School 2015 From PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES by Joe Procopio LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) is a delightful Latin flavored dance that was inspired by Little Miss Lilly who could tumble on command all by her big self when she was only 15 months old. When I first saw her dance and tumble at such a young age, I was so moved that I wrote this piece to celebrate her ability to amaze everyone with her dancing and tumbling. LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) was originally written and arranged for a small ensemble, band, stage band or combo with flexible instrumentation so that it may be performed with only two Saxophones (Alto Sax I and Alto Sax II) and a standard backup with Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, Bass and Drums. In addition, any combo may be augmented by adding any or all of the parts included for Flute, Clarinet, Tenor Sax, and Baritone Sax. This flexible or variable instrumentation of LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) makes it unique and perfect for schools and colleges that do not have a permanent roster of music students entering their music programs annually. It also eases the burden for Directors searching for good music to perform for groups with ever changing numbers of music students. What’s more, LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) has a section open for solos to enable the ensemble to feature players who can improvise well enhancing not only the group’s enjoyment but also everyone’s listening pleasure. This piece is composed in the same style of the other dances in the set - all of which have been performed by College and High School students in many major concert events along the East Coast with great success. It is published separately and in a set entitled PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES PART 1 from the sets PAPA’S FAMOUS DANCES Part I and Part II. Each Part contains 3 Dances. I have adapted the audio here for synthesizer so that it may be previewed. It is one of 6 works named and dedicated to each of my 6 Grandchildren: Lilly, Mary, Lydia, Emma, Joey and Wilson. Instrumentation for LILLY’S DANCE (THE TUMBLER) includes SCORE and parts for: ALTO SAX I ALTO SAX II TENOR SAX BARITONE SAX FLUTE CLARINET PIANO/KEYBOARD - GUITAR - BASS - DRUMS VITA Joe Procopio is a master musician and teacher with proven success for over 50 years. Published by James Nathaniel Holland (A0.730418). The Piano Vocal Score (with SA Chorus) New Contemporary Classical Music from American Costa Rican composer James Nathaniel Holland in his masterful ballet adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, The Snow Queen. Ballet yet to be premiered. Be the first to produce it! Highlights are The Dance of the Evil Snow Sprite and the Distorted Mirror, Innocence and Kai and Gerde's Special Friendship, The Waltz of the Roses ('Think of my love as a Rose'), The Waltz of the Snowflakes (Snowbees), Gerde Morns Kai's Death, The Suite of the Lady of Spring (Tale of the Tiger Lillies, The Dream of the Morning Glories, The Tale of the Snowdrops, the Hyacinth's Tale), The Waltz of the Summer Palace, Dance of the Thieves and Kai's Joyous Dance Finale. Ballet Synopsis: Evil Snow Sprites make a mirror that reflects all that is mean and evil. When it shatters, its splinters drift to the far corners of the world. Gerde and Kai are two poor children who live in Copenhagen in the early 19th Century. They live innocently with their parents and Grandmother and tend a rooftop rose garden. One winter night Kai meets the Snow Queen and a splinter from the mirror enters his eye. The Snow Queen returns and abducts Kai. Although accepted as dead, Gerde deeply feels otherwise and begins her quest to find her friend, traveling through the four seasons, sometimes beautiful and sometimes frightening. The Lady of Spring takes her as an addition to her fantastical garden filled with tales and dreams of the flowers who dwell there. But when Gerde sees the rose on Spring's bonnet she wakes from her enchantment. Her tears spring back the roses who tell her Kai is not dead. She flees from the garden. Gerde grows up in the wilderness and a crow says that he has seen Kai at the Palace of the Queen of Summer. They hurry there to find a magnificent ball in progress. Gerde is introduced to the Kai lookalike but knows something is not right. The Queen of Summer helps Gerde on her way and lends her a coach and gives her a magic red rose that will never fade.As coach searches for Kai, it enters the season of Autumn and is accosted by robber girl and a band of theives. They dance in an rousing, energetic dance taunting her. When the morning comes Gerde tells her fellow captive animals of her quest to find Kai and that all hope is lost. The pigeons finally tell Gerde that Kai was abducted by the Snow Queen many years ago. The robber girl overhears them and has a change of heart letting her go with her reindeer to the far North of the Snow Queen.Gerde finds Kai in the palace of the Snow Queen piecing together the evil mirror. She gives Kai up for dead but leaves the rose of summer beside him. Kai spots the rose and he sheds a tear. The splinter falls out and he completes the mirror. They head back for home to their families were there is a big finale of a beautiful wedding on a late summer day and live happily ever after.YouTube Complete Ballet presentation: https://youtu.be/-zDAJ-Ttw70Composer website: http://lacoronadelossantos.net/jamesnathanielholland.htmlTwo part performance CDs sold separately. The Best Hymns of All Time (Violin, Cello and Piano) Book 1
Piano Trio,String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Piano,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download …

Piano Trio,String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Piano,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522286 Composed by Various. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 50 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #6596257. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522286). We’re really excited to present our collection of sixty of the best-loved hymns ever composed, presented in three books. Arranged for violin, cello and piano they are intended either as stand-alone pieces that could be used as interludes in a service, or they could be used to accompany solo, choral or congregational singing. To make the music accessible to less experienced string players, the range of the notes has been kept fairly low so that many of the arrangements can be played in first position, though more experienced players would probably want to avoid open strings. The cello part does not follow the bass but instead plays an independent tenor line using to the mid to upper range of the instrument. The top note in the cello part is the F sharp above the bass clef. The piano part has been kept as straightforward as possible with the left hand playing the bass part. To extend the possible uses of this collection, there’s also a melody part printed in the bass clef, an octave lower than the violin part. This could of course be used for cello solo or indeed for any other bass clef instrument. Included in the 50-page PDF file is an optional bass part which follows the piano left hand and could be used for string bass or bass guitar. With such a small ensemble, a conductor is hardly necessary and to save on costs the pianist reads from the score. For this reason, the piano part in the score has been slightly enlarged. Book 1 contains the following twenty popular hymns: Abide with Me (Eventide); All Glory, Laud and Honor (St. Theodulph); All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name (Coronation); All Through the Night (Ar Hyd y Nos); City of God, How Broad and Far (Richmond - Haweis); Fairest Lord Jesus (Crusader’s Hymn); Fight the Good Fight (Duke Street); Forth in Thy Name (Angel's Song, Song 34); Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer (Cwm Rhondda); He who Would Valiant Be (Monk’s Gate); Holy, Holy, Holy! (Nicea); I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say (Kingsfold); Jesu, Lover of my Soul (Aberystwyth); Nearer my God to Thee (Bethany); Now Thank We All Our God (Nun Danket); O Worship the King (Hanover); Rejoice, the Lord is King (Darwall’s 148th); Soldiers of Christ, Arise (Diademata); The Lord’s my Shepherd (Crimmond); What a Friend we Have in Jesus (Converse). The music has been set in string-friendly keys so they are not compatible with the brass or wind publications of the same name. The audio samples include Abide with Me; All Through the Night; I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say; Nearer my God to Thee and What a Friend we Have in Jesus.

The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore comfort one another with these words. This unaccompanied bugle call in C Major for B♠Trumpet or Voice has been fashioned to help you internalize God’s Word. The melody uses only the notes of the tonic triad, ranging from G above Middle C to the 2nd G above middle C. Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1446054 Composed by Christoph Willibald Gluck,. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Classical,Contest,Festival,Historic,Instructional,Opera. 16 pages. Keith Terrett #1025876. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1446054). Orfeo ed Euridice is an opera composed by Christoph Willibald Gluck, based on the myth of Orpheus and set to a libretto by Ranieri de' Calzabigi. It belongs to the genre of the azione teatrale, meaning an opera on a mythological subject with choruses and dancing. The piece was first performed at the Burgtheater in Vienna on 5 October 1762, in the presence of Empress Maria Theresa. Orfeo ed Euridice is the first of Gluck's reform operas, in which he attempted to replace the abstruse plots and overly complex music of opera seria with a noble simplicity in both the music and the drama. The opera is the most popular of Gluck's works, and was one of the most influential on subsequent German operas. Variations on its plot—the underground rescue mission in which the hero must control, or conceal, his emotions—can be found in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Beethoven's Fidelio, and Wagner's Das Rheingold.Though originally set to an Italian libretto, Orfeo ed Euridice owes much to the genre of French opera, particularly in its use of accompanied recitative and a general absence of vocal virtuosity. Indeed, twelve years after the 1762 premiere, Gluck re-adapted the opera to suit the tastes of a Parisian audience at the Académie Royale de Musique with a libretto by Pierre-Louis Moline. This reworking was given the title Orphée et Eurydice, and several alterations were made in vocal casting and orchestration to suit French tastes.Ther picture is Count Francesco Algarotti, an Italian polymath, philosopher, poet, essayist, anglophile, art critic and art collector. He was a man of broad knowledge, an expert in Newtonianism, architecture and opera. He was a friend of Frederick the Great and leading authors of his times: Voltaire, Jean-Baptiste de Boyer, Marquis d'Argens, Pierre-Louis de Maupertuis and the atheist Julien Offray de La Mettrie. Lord Chesterfield, Thomas Gray, George Lyttelton, Thomas Hollis, Metastasio, Benedict XIV and Heinrich von Brühl were among his correspondents.''The Sicilienne and Rigaudon is one of the many pieces that violin virtuoso Fritz Kreisler composed in the style of other composers. When he first presented and published these pieces, he offered them as recently discovered works by those other composers, newly adapted and arranged by himself. In the case of Sicilienne and Rigaudon, it is eighteenth-century French violinist/composer François Francoeur whose name is on the title sheet, though the piece really has nothing to do with Francoeur's style. The piece is a simple and a charming one, however. The Sicilienne is a binary-form miniature that sweeps along on a characteristic dotted rhythm, with a rather melancholy melody. Think old French ballet. The constant 16th notes of the Rigaudon, give it a character quite unlike that of a traditional rigaudon-a cheerful Baroque dance movement in duple meter.
