Small Ensemble Bass Voice,Piano,Tenor Voice - Level 2 - SKU: A0.801045 Composed by Connie Boss. Easter,Sacred. Score and parts. 4 pages. Connie Boss #4285309. Published by Connie Boss (A0.801045). A song for Good Friday. I have one out there in treble clef. This one is in bass clef for men to sing it. It has piano accompaniment and guitar chords as well as written in duet. The ending is unique (my mp3 doesn't show it because I couldn't get it to play it right) but after Pound # 11 I'm no longer breathin', it ends in complete silence at that point. The attached video is in SA and cello. Questions or requests, email cdboss@cvalley.netLyrics:Refrain: How can it be, the pain that I feel, pounding through my hands be from the hammer and the nail? When as a child, so young, but aware, I watched Joseph use the hammer and the nail. To create things that were so beautiful. How can this pain be from the hammer and the nail? Verse Pound #1 What have I done Pound #2 They know not what they do Pound #3 I’m shaking in my knees Pound #4 Leads to many more Refrain: Verse Pound #5 I’m barely alive Pound #6 They poke me with a stick Pound #7 Soon I’ll be in heaven Pound #8 I’m feeling faint Refrain: Pound #9 I’m dying inside Pound #10 Father please forgive them Pound #11 I’m no longer breathin’.

Concert band - SKU: IZ.CBW205-S Composed by Judith Katz. Score. 15 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CBW205-S. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBW205-S). 9 x 12 in inches.Long before the tragic sinking of the Medusa, was the sinking of the French ship, The Medusa. The frigate Medusa was completed in 1806, launched in 1810, and saw action in the Napoleonic wars. In 1816, it set sail from French to its ultimate location in Senegal to repossess it from the British. Along with cargo, there were almost 400 people on board. What no one knew, however, was that there was an incompetent captain on board with dubious skills. The ship was caught in a storm off the coast of Mauritania. After being damaged from hitting rocks and multiple attempts to relaunch it, it couldn't move. Soon, it was discovered that there was a shortage of lifeboats. Most of the crew and some of the passengers made their way to the lifeboats, saving about 250 people. That left about 149 others on board. Crew members left on board scrambled to build a raft for the others. The raft was launched and tied to one of the lifeboats. The hope was that everyone would make it to land, almost 60 miles away. The horror came, when the captain ordered the raft to be cut loose, claiming, that it was slowing everyone else down. That left the raft survivors to their own devices.Multiple days at sea brought on starvation, death and disease. People starved to death, and acts of desperation came about, such as the weak, but alive, being thrown overboard, and even cannibalism. Many days later, when survivors were finally rescued, there were only 15 people left alive, with 5 of them dying soon afterwards. News of the disaster quickly reached France, where both the government and the people were thoroughly outraged. Newspapers covered the disaster, and eventually there were trials prosecuting the captain and the crew for negligence. This can be considered as the first documented sea disaster. In 1818, 27 year- old Theodore Gericault was so moved by this disaster, that he painted his masterpiece, The Raft of The Medusa. To this day, the painting, which is enormous in size and almost the size of the raft itself, hangs in the Louvre. This is my first attempt at program music. It was my hope that I captured the mood, the feeling, and above all, in all good program music, that my composition told the story.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1208296 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 11 pages. Kevin G. Pace #806402. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1208296). A stunningly beautiful, sacred composition for SATB choir.  Music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  Depicting the miracle of Jesus curing the man by the Pool of Bethesda.Text:By Bethesda’s special pool, each day they did wait.Blind and halt and withered there, each to not be late.By the pool the crippled lay; healing was the goal.Ere an angel’s touch was stirred, not one would be whole.Years and years a man stayed near, but with none to aid. Then the Savior came, unknown, to surround and stay.Wilt thou be made whole? was asked by the Healer there.I can’t reach the pool myself. These pains I must bear.Wilt thou be made whole? I can ease thy load. Can I heal thy sun-parched soul? May I make thee whole?Rise, and take thy bed and walk. These words Jesus spoke.Soon the man was cleansed and healed, as if he awoke.Had full faith been shown that day from this aged man?Can we also trust our Lord? Will we take his hand?By our own Bethesda pools in a sacred space,He can clearly mend our cares through (by) his wondrous grace. We can also rise like him o’er our doubts and fearsAs we linger, patiently, listening to hear.We can be made whole when his hand we hold.He can heal our holy souls; He will make us whole.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - SKU: A0.761847 Composed by Louis Landon. New Age,Spiritual. Score. 5 pages. Landon Creative, Inc. #3129855. Published by Landon Creative, Inc. (A0.761847). Healing Hearts is the fourth solo piano release from Louis Landon in less than two years, an indication that his 2013 move to Sedona, AZ sparked an amazing creative streak for him. Since his move, Landon has established Healing Piano of Sedona which offers a unique sound healing experience to create mental, physical and emotional well-being. Landon is a Steinway Artist who has toured internationally and has released seventeen albums, eleven of which are solo piano (one is a best of). He has been using the techniques of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky for spiritual development since 1980. Healing Piano of Sedona was created to help people live life joyously, passionately, stress- and disease-free.The thirteen tracks on Healing Hearts were created spontaneously to assist individuals in their emotional and spiritual well-being. I have to admit that in the past, I have had a strong preference for Landon’s more composed music, but he is improvising and performing so much now that his spontaneous music is incredibly cohesive and complete and the emotional content is rich and sincere. Landon has performed house concerts in my series every year for the past seven years and while his music has always been exceptionally good, now it’s often breathtaking in its beauty and honesty. Nothing is held back, coming from the purest source of creativity. I’m blown away by the music on Healing Hearts and am certain that it will be the second of Landon’s albums on my Favorites list for 2014.Most of the tracks overflow with peace and serenity. In fact, Louis calls his home studio The Peace Palace and I can see why! A couple of pieces are a bit livelier, but the entire album is perfect for a warm and soothing background. However, be sure to treat your mind and soul to a blissful hour of calming music that can effortlessly heal the spirit and wash away the cares of the moment, the day, or life in general - at least for a while. All of the tracks are exceptional, but I’ll mention a few favorites. Amy’s Song is a breath of fresh air - graceful, tender and very warm. Gorgeous! Desert Peace is somewhat more ambient and so peaceful. I love the title track, which is more minor and a bit darker, but so poignant and compelling. Now or Never seems to be offering support and encouragement to move forward - gently but firmly. Sacred is almost hymn-like. The Great Unknown is dedicated to a young family member who passed away recently. Dark and sometimes painfully sad, there is hope as the healing process takes place - an amazing piece of music! The Painter expresses the passionate spirit that can flow from one artist to another. Unstoppable begins quietly and simply, gradually building energy, strength and power. Unstoppable, indeed! A great, upbeat ending to a fantastic album!Healing Hearts is a must-hear! It is available from louislandon.com, Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby. Very highly recommended!

Published by as do Ray meflute studio production (A0.1242493). The Village by Wrabel, arranged for flute choir /ensemble arranged by me, Ray-Michael Kauffman. This beautiful and poignant song is part of my Compositions that care series, meaning all profits from thios arrangemnt goes to a charity. This charity is for LGBTQ+. ( about the song meaning)Wrabel, the composer, stated the song is about the LGBTQ+ community and all the hardships they face. The song is directed and to encourage and give hope to a trans person who is being treated poorly and ostracized , and to let that perosn struggling know that there is absolutely Nothing wrong with you and there's soemthing wrong with the village.Too many of the trans/LGBTQ+ comminity are struggling , especially in todays political climate. All around the world LGBTQ+ persons are being bullied, discriminated against , attacked, thrown in jail , and even killed with liitle to no laws to protect people.in my own personal life, as a victim of a horrible hate crime where the person involved attmepted to beat me and kill me , unfortuanelty i found out very qucikly how laws even in the USA do not protect me , how many cops ignored me and/or attmepted to make the attack my fault , and how laywers did not want to help and judges either ,and beacsue of the laws i was not protected as a minority and the crime wasn't a hate crime even though the criminals admitted this as the reason of the attack.I was told that this was not a hate crime , unless the criminals made me a victim of S.A., used a car/vehicle , or a gun, or actually ended my life. I also wanted to add , this brutal attack ( recorded on video by the criminals ) which caused such serious bodily harm, had me in the hospital for surgeries, and required months of long and painful rehab and therapy. As a country, as a society, as a planet , we all need to do better, and have to have more protections for such a discriminated group of persons.I did want to add , all the issues happening around the world, and even here in the USA, such as the awful and fascist discrimitory laws in Florida and other states it's no wonder the statistics of LGBTQ+ that contemplate ending their person or even attempting the act .I ask respectfully that every one please go to law makers and demand better laws and treatments of people no matter what community there are of. All people deserve respect, proper medcial care, and to have the same rights as every other human being. We all can and must be the change you wish to see in the world. Score. 8 pages. Timothy Stapay #811114. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1213917). Yesterday When I was Young is a song composed by Georges Garvarentz and written by Charles Aznavour and released in September 1964. The original French title translates to Just yesterday or Not so long ago.It is considered one of Aznavour's greatest hits. The English-language lyrics, written by Herbert Kretzmer, tell of someone reflecting on his life, recalling how he had wasted his younger years.Lyrics:[Verse 1]Yesterday when I was youngThe taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongueI teased at life as if it were a foolish gameThe way the evening breeze may tease a candle flameThe thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I plannedI always built, alas, on weak and shifting sandI lived by night and shunned the naked light of dayAnd only now I see how the years ran away[Verse 2]Yesterday, when I was youngSo many drinking songs were waiting to be sungSo many wayward pleasures lay in store for meAnd so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to seeI ran so fast that time and youth at last ran outI never stopped to think what life was all aboutAnd every conversation I can now recallConcerned itself with me, me and nothing else at all[Verse 3]Yesterday the moon was blueAnd every crazy day brought something new to doI used my magic age as if it were a wandAnd never saw the waste and emptiness beyondThe game of love I played with arrogance and prideAnd every flame I lit too quickly, quickly diedThe friends I made all seemed somehow to drift awayAnd only I am left on stage to end the play[Outro]There are so many songs in me that won't be sungI feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongueThe time has come for me to pay for yesterdayWhen I was youngYoung, young...

During the Covid 19 lockdown the community choir Amber Valley Voices have worked with their MD Angie Cope and accompanist and composer Chris Lawry to write a lock down inspired song to rehearse in their Zoom rehearsals to hopefully use in their forthcoming concerts once restrictions are eased and we can begin to meet and sing together again.Much love to all out there that can't sing together yet; we are feeling your pain with you!Sheet music (for Unison, SA and SATB choir) available from www.chrislawry.com. If you need a backing track or leadsheet, or anything, please get in touch using: contact@chrislawry.com Lyrics: Waiting by the window, Parcels at the door, Kisses left hanging in the air. Doorstep daughters and street-side sons, It's the little things to show that you still care. ]Smiles from total strangers we pass along the way, Neighbours that speak now ev’ry day. Time for conversations, time for souls to touch It’s the little things that now mean oh so much. The little things that mean so much The little things we miss and those we don’t, as such The little things: a sight, a sound, a smell, a touch. It’s the little things that now mean oh so much. A letter from a loved one, flowers from a friend The look that says I know, I understand Early morning birdsong, a woodlands dappled light, It’s the outward signs of natures healing hand.To wander through a meadow, to drink in cleaner air New life bursts out around us ‘midst our pain. So much has been lost at immeasurable cost But together we’ll rebuild our world again. The little things that mean so much The little things we miss and those we don’t, as such The little things: a sight, a sound, a smell, a touch. It’s the little things that now mean oh so much. The little things that mean so much The little things we miss and those we don’t, as such The little things: a sight, a sound, a smell, a touch. It’s the little things that now mean oh so much.

Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3396161. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534375). To You for Baritone, Tenor Saxophone and piano is dedicated to the American Baritone Kurt Ollmann, who has done much for the promotion and performance of American music both in the United States and abroad.Whitman’s poem speaks of seeing a stranger and feeling love for this person. In contrast to Poe’s To Helen, which treats a similar subject of a chance meeting of a stranger that the poet loves, Whitman does not idealize his subject but rather pointedly and brutally describes how he sees this person and what feelings (both negative and positive) this contemplation provokes in the poet’s mind In order to reflect this musically, there is an alternation between more introspective and brooding sections which are then followed by more ecstatic outbursts. The piece ends with the poet watching the stranger leave, expressing what the composer felt to be acceptance and release. As in any chamber music with voice, it is important that the two instruments allow the voice to predominate, regardless of the dynamics marked in their parts. The saxophonist should try as much as possible to match colour with the voice,in order to allow the contrapuntal exchanges between the voice and the saxophone to blend evenly. The pianist should play the passages at rehearsal marks E, G and K in a more soloist manner, always taking care not to cover the voice..To YouWhoever you are, I fear you are walking the walks of dreams,I fear these supposed realities are to melt from under your feet and hands,Even now your features, joys, speech, house, trade, manners, troubles, follies, costume, crimes, dissipate away from you,Your true soul and body appear before me.They stand forth out of affairs, out of commerce, shops, work, farms, clothes, the house, buying, selling, eating, drinking, suffering, dying.Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you be my poem,I whisper with my lips close to your ear.I have loved many women and men, but I love none better than you.O I have been dilatory and dumb,I should have made my way straight to you long ago,I should have blabb'd nothing but you, I should have chanted nothingbut you.I will leave all and come and make the hymns of you,None has understood you, but I understand you,None has done justice to you, you have not done justice to yourself,None but has found you imperfect, I only find no imperfection in you,None but would subordinate you, I only am he who will never consentto subordinate you,I only am he who places over you no master, owner, better, God,beyond what waits intrinsically in yourself.Painters have painted their swarming groups and the centre-figure of all,From the head of the centre-figure spreading a nimbus of gold-color'd light,But I paint myriads of heads, but paint no head without its nimbusof gold-color'd light,From my hand from the brain of every man and woman it streams, effulgently flowing forever.O I could sing such grandeurs and glories about you!You have not known what you are, you have slumber'd upon yourselfall your life,Your eyelids have been the same as closed most of the time,What you have done returns already in mockeries,(Your thrift, knowledge, prayers, if they do not return inmockeries, what is their return?)The mockeries are not you,Underneath them and within them I see you lurk,I pursue you where none else has pursued you,Silence, the desk, the flippant expression, the night, theaccustom'd routine, if these conceal you from others or fromyourself, they do not conceal you from me,The shaved face, the unsteady eye, the impure complexion, if thesebalk others they do not balk me,The pert apparel, the deform'd attitude, drunkenness, greed, premature death, all these I part aside. There is no endowment in man or woman that is not tallied in you,There is no virtue,.

From Album: Cycles of Life Theme: Going away, the sister that I know. Estrangement from someone who was once close. Mood: Serious, reflective, sad, emotionally moving. Musical Traits: Simple left hand piano, right hand reflects vocal part. Performance Time: 3:50 Sydney Stevens music is available on: Pandora, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, AllMusic More Links: www.sydneystevenswatermusic.comhttp://www.linkedin.com/in/sydney-stevens-532a113a BIOGRAPHY:Sydney Stevens began writing melodies on the piano before she could reach the pedals. Her earliest memory was watching her mother play classical piano. She began piano lessons at the age of 8, and started composing shortly thereafter.Stevens approaches her compositions as an artist. She paints musical portraits of the things that bring meaning to life: relationship to living things, emotional healing, discovering what matters most and honoring that as best we are able. Stevens' beautiful piano-based music aligns one with their own heart. Although some of her music can be described as New Age, her roots are heavily based in classical and jazz. Her study of classical composition makes her music more complex than some New Age music. Her music has been likened to the impressionistic composers such as Claude Debussy. Sydney's formal training is also reflected in her ability to compose for orchestral instruments. Her latest release, Cycles of Life, was solely recorded and produced by Sydney, programming all of the virtual instruments.Sydney has a great love for jazz. Keith Jarrett was an influence on her with his innovative and improvisational piano recordings and performances. She was particularly impressed with the freedom of style he portrayed in his performances. Bill Evans was something Sydney heard played as a young child. Where her mother was a classical pianist, her father was a jazz pianist. Perhaps that's why some of Sydney’s music can be described as a crossover between classical and jazz--remnants from those early years. Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins were big inspirations for Sydney's songwriting. She was especially drawn to the deeply emotional lyrics in many of their songs.Cycles of Life, the title track from Sydney's current release, was composed for her late step dad. The song is about the cycle of birth and death: Cycles of life go on, yet we carry all that we've known and loved through the ages. Time, another track on Sydney's current release, is a song about how time passes more quickly when we are doing something we cherish. Brian's Song, inspired by the loss of her father-in-law, reflects: All that really matters is the way we fill our heart, and the ways that it has loved. Dawn, a track from Sydney's album Seasons, is a beautiful piano-based instrumental with light string background. It portrays that very peaceful hour as the sun slowly lights up the world -- the hour of dawn.Sydney is a poet. She sees the world through a heart that feels the joy and sorrow of the world and those she meets. Her gift is the ability to transfer that emotion into music. Listening to her music is like taking a journey. She delves into depths of emotion, often taking the listener to places that can be difficult to go without the comfort of a beautiful song to accompany them.In addition to being a prolific.

Small Ensemble Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - SKU: A0.978194 Composed by Jason A. Heald. Contemporary. Score. 16 pages. Call of the Wild Publishing #6265333. Published by Call of the Wild Publishing (A0.978194). THREE LABE SONNETS for mezzo-soprano and piano is a collection of settings by Louise Labé, (1520-1566), a female French Renaissance poet. Labé was fluent in Latin and Italian, and a trained musician. She wrote twenty-four sonnets. TRANSLATION Sonnet VIII - I Live, I Die I live, I die, I burn with fire, I drown. It matters very little what I feel; All life is now too real, now too surreal; Joy comes and endless boredom weighs me down, And suddenly I laugh and then I cry; With grief and bliss I’m weeping for the past; Good feelings go away and yet they last, And suddenly I bleed and then I sigh. That’s how it goes. Strange, ever changing love Has worn me out. I wish I were removed From such a star-crossed fate! I need a truce With Lady Luck. Again and yet again, Her wheel is spinning madly to produce This wanton, wild, intense, exquisite pain. Sonnet XVIII - O Kiss Me O kiss me, kiss me, re-kiss me, and kiss! Be reckless, impudent, hot-headed, bold! O woo me! Pursue me! Kiss me like this: And I’ll give back fifty as hot as red coals. There, is it hurting? Come, let’s soothe the pain. I’ll give you sixty others just like these. And so we’ll kiss again and then again, While we enjoy each other at our ease. I know there’s fire within your unshaped clay, And so, allow me, love, to share my happiness: O let’s make burning passion rule today. I’m fond of doing what I love to do, Yet cannot feel supreme delight unless I have my other wild encounters, too. Sonnet XIV - As Long As Tears As long as tears can well up in my eyes I’m saddened that our nights are marked by pain. And now my voice expresses once again A plaintive melody I’ve improvised. As long as I can pluck the lute, I try To sing about your charms in my refrain. As long as I can think, my fevered brain Is burning with an ardent zeal. I cry And cry a hundred thousand times for you. But when I feel my whirling thoughts grow still, And when both hand and voice won’t work their will, Because your treachery is piercing through My heart, I’ll know there’s just one final way. I’ll ask for Death to darken that bleak day.

Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) is a song by Don McLean, written as a tribute to Vincent van Gogh.McLean wrote the lyrics in 1971 after reading a book about the life of Van Gogh. It was released on McLean's 1971 American Pie album; the following year, the song topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks, and peaked at No. 12 in the United States, where it also hit No. 2 on the Easy Listening chart. Billboard ranked it as the No. 94 song for 1972.Lyrics:StarryStarry nightPaint your palette blue and greyLook out on a summer's dayWith eyes that know theDarkness in my soul.Shadows on the hillsSketch the trees and the daffodilsCatch the breeze and the winter chillsIn colors on the snowy linen land. And now I understand what you tried to say to meHow you suffered for your sanityHow you tried to set them free. They would not listenThey did not know howPerhaps they'll listen now.StarryStarry nightFlaming flo'rs that brightly blazeSwirling clouds in violet haze reflect inVincent's eyes of China blue.Colors changing hueMorning fields of amber grainWeathered faces lined in painAre soothed beneath the artist'sLoving hand. And now I understand what you tried to say to meHow you suffered for your sanityHow you tried to set them free.Perhaps they'll listen now.For they could not love youBut still your love was trueAnd when no hope was left in sight on that starryStarry night. You took your lifeAs lovers often do;But I could have told youVincentThis world was neverMeant for oneAs beautiful as you.StarryStarry nightPortraits hung in empty hallsFrameless heads on nameless wallsWith eyesThat watch the world and can't forget.Like the stranger that you've metThe ragged men in ragged clothesThe silver thorn of bloody roseLie crushed and brokenOn the virgin snow. And now I think I know what you tried to say to meHow you suffered for your sanityHow you tried to set them free. They would not listenThey're notList'ning stillPerhaps they never will.

It’s not too hard to play and sounds fantastic! However, there’s a more challenging arrangement of the song in the original key available, you can get it here: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/21155619Ariana Grande certainly knows what it's like if one's personal life is making headlines. In November 2018, she released thank u, next, a surprisingly positive song about her past relationships and breakups (including Mac Miller, Pete Davidson and Big Sean), in which she comes to the conclusion that she learned from all of them!“thank u, next†serves as the lead single from Ariana Grande’s fifth studio album. This song is a reflection on Psalm 46. Like many Psalms, it contains elements of questioning, challenge and finally, faith. It is written in a Contemporary Christian/Christian Rock style. BE STILL AND KNOW (Psalm 46) BE STILL AND KNOW Chorus: Be still and know that I am God, Be still and know that I am God Be still and know that I am, Be still and know that I am God You are the Word beyond all words, a holy mystery, A presence in the universe that I can’t touch or see, A force in space and time with no beginning and no end, A spark of inspiration that I cannot comprehend. In a world that’s so embraced by pain how can Your love be shown? In life that’s short and fleeting, can eternity be known? My questions have no answers for I’ve painted You too small, So I will cease my babbling and worship You in awe. Be still and know that I am God, Be still and know that I am God Be still and know that I am, Be still and know that I am God Our God’s a refuge and our strength, and so we will not fear, Though mountains shake and waters roar our God is always near, God makes the wars to cease and breaks the bow, the shield, the spear, Behold the works of God whose reign of peace will dry all tears. You are the glints of sunlight through the amber-dappled leaves, You are the hints of silence in the vows that lovers breathe, You are the one who awes me with the love that we receive, You are my first and dying breath, in You I will believe. Be still and know that I am God...

Piano - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1290542 By Chick Corea. By Al Jarreau, Artie Maren, Chick Corea, and Joaquin Rodrigo. Arranged by Popnroll 1976. Jazz,Latin. Score (Chords/Lyrics). 4 pages. Popnroll 1976 #881260. Published by Popnroll 1976 (A0.1290542). Spain (I Can Recall) - Al Jarreau (Vocal/Synthesizer Solo/Scat Solo)This is a lead sheet with a complete copy of the synthesizer solo and scat solo of the vocal version of Chick Corea's famous song Spain from the album This Time released in 1980 by Al Jarreau, a jazz fusion singer known for his singing percussion.PDF format, 4 pages.Lyrics:Al Jarreau, Arthur J. Maren Composer:Chick Corea, Joaquin Vidre RodrigoVocal:Al Jarreau Synthesizer & Rhodes Electric Piano:Larry Williams Bass: Abraham Laboriel Drums: Steve Gadd Produced by Jay GraydonSong Description  This is a jazz fusion classic from Chick Corea's 1972 Return To Forever album, Light As A Feather, with lyrics by Al himself.  The synthesizer solo was played by Larry Williams, a keyboardist and saxophonist of the fusion band Seawind, who skillfully used upper structure triad arpeggios to drive the song in a wide range.  Al's scat solo in the latter half of the song is a highlight. It starts with a relaxed phrase, moving in a close range in the first half, and shows a sign of excitement with flutter tangling in D (a technique unique to wind instruments that makes the sound tremble by fine movements of the tongue) at the beginning of the second half. The last four bars of the song are a perfect blend of alternating scales and blue notes, folding in exquisite ups and downs, and finally resolving to B major at the end.  In the chord progression, the second half of [B] and Gmaj7 (two beats after Dmaj7) in [E] and [M] are not Chick Corea's original, but he seems to use them in this arrangement.
