Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1408303 Composed by Ryan Saranich. Jazz. 47 pages. Señoranich Publishing #990875. Published by Señoranich Publishing (A0.1408303). An advanced piece for high school and university big band, If You Never Knew is an emotional ballad in the key of Ab major with an easy waltz feel. Flowing beautifully, IYNK is an has a great feel but still captivates the ear with subtle chord changes that are outside of the norm. In this particular piece, your trumpet section will need dark trumpet sounds or -better yet- flugelhorns. Melody is played by Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet 2, and Electric Guitar. This piece is graded at 3.5.

If you were there when Jesus was on earth performing His miracles, and you lived in Mary's town, what might you have asked her? We all know the story now. We know how God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary to prepare her. Today, we know that yes, Mary knew the important role she had. She was told how important her son's birth would be. In short, the answer to 'Mary Did You Know?' was yes, she knew. But back then, people probably didn't know that.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1027467 Composed by Keane Southard. Contemporary. Octavo. 8 pages. Spindrift Pages #546435. Published by Spindrift Pages (A0.1027467). Do You Hear How Many You Are? for SATB choir was written in April and May of 2010. The origins of this piece and text come from a very interesting experience I had in December of 2009. I have been learning a lot in the past few years about the state of our world and the many huge problems and crises we are faced with in the near future, and this discovery has been so daunting and overwhelming to me. So much change needs to happen in order for the near and long-term future of our world to be just and stable that I have felt a lot of guilt over my choice of profession. Why have I chosen to be a composer and musician when I could make more of an impact on solving these problems if I were a scientist or policy maker etc.? I have been struggling to find a solution to this dilemma for a while now and I just happened to be thinking about it, while filled with lots of stress and worries, one night as I was falling asleep in December of 2009. At the moment when I was in that state halfway between sleep and consciousness, I suddenly heard the line Do you hear how many you are? in my head, yet I felt as though I didn't come up with the line but that it was said TO me. I was instantly comforted, as if a load fell off my shoulders, and then I began to hear it being sung, which I knew was the beginning of a choral piece. I woke up, wrote down the music I was hearing (about the first six measures of the work) and then wrote down this entire poem. I truly feel that this message came to me for a reason, and that I need to share it through the music I create. Those of us who want to change the world for the better are not alone; we are many and we will make our voices hear in order to heal the world. -Keane Southard Duration: c. 3 minutes -Winner, 2010 Ars Nova Singers Colorado Composers Competition (Professional Division) -1st Prize, Warren County Summer Music School's Promising Young Composers Competition, 2014 Premiered June 3, 2011 in Boulder, CO by the Ars Nova Singers, Thomas Morgan-conductor PROJECT : ENCOREâ„¢ has found this work to be of exceptional merit. Its panel of internationally known conductors has selected this work for inclusion in its catalog of recommended choral music. Website: keanesouthard.instantencore.com.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1025896 Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Coleman Alexander. Classical. Score and parts. 17 pages. Coleman Alexander #5709741. Published by Coleman Alexander (A0.1025896). A dark and then bright lied by Brahms about how a maiden would rather kiss a young man than an elderly one. Here are the strange lyrics. The maiden stood by the mountain slope; the mountain reflected her face, and the maiden spoke to her reflection: Truly, my face, O you my worry, if, my white face, I knew that someday an old man would kiss you, then I would go to the green mountain, pick all the wormwood in the mountains, press the bitter water out of the wormwood, and wash you, O my face, with that water, so that you would be bitter when the old man kissed you! But if, my white face, I knew that someday a young man would kiss you, then I would go to the green garden, pick all the roses in the garden, press the fragrant water out of the roses, and wash you, O my face, with that water, so that you would be fragrant when the youth kissed you!

Timothy Stapay #1045091. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1466523). Free As The Wind was composed by Jerry Goldsmith, a very prolific composer of film scores. This is the main theme from the movie Papillon starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. This arrangement is written for intermediate piano.Yesterday's world is a dream like a river that runs through my mind Made of fields and the white pebbled stream that I knew as a child Butterfly wings in the sun taught me all that I needed to see For they sang sang to my heart oh look at me look at me Free as the wind free as the wind that is the way you should be. Love was the dream of my life And I gave it the best I knew how So it always brings tears to my eyes when I think of it now Gone like the butterfly days And the boy that I once used to be But my heart still hears a voice Telling me look , look and you will see There's no regret that I feel For the bitter sweet taste of it all If you love there's a chance you may fly If you fall, well you fall Rather the butterfly life To have lived for a day and been free For my heart still hears a voice Telling me look and you will see.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1270160 By Arlo Guthrie. By Arlo Guthrie. Arranged by Craig Hanson. A Cappella,Comedy,Folk. Octavo. 6 pages. Edition Craig Hanson #862589. Published by Edition Craig Hanson (A0.1270160). For TTBB chorus a cappella and solo voice. As performed by Arlo Guthrie.Wanna hear something? You know that Indians never ate clams. They didn't have linguini! And so what happened was that clams was allowed to grow unmolested in the coastal waters of America for millions of years. And they got big, and I ain't talking about clams in general, I'm talking about each clam! Individually. I mean each one was a couple of million years old or older. So imagine they could have got bigger than this whole room. And when they get that big, God gives them little feet so that they could walk around easier. And when they get feet, they get dangerous. I'm talking about real dangerous. I ain't talking about sitting under the water waiting for you. I'm talking about coming after you.Imagine being on one of them boats coming over to discover America, like Columbus or something, standing there at night on watch, everyone else is either drunk or asleep. And you're watching for America and the boat's going up and down. And you don't like it anyhow but you gotta stand there and watch, for what? Only he knows, and he ain't watching. You hear the waves lapping against the side of the ship. The moon is going behind the clouds. You hear the pitter patter of little footprints on deck. ‘Is that you kids?’ It ain't! My god! It's this humongous, giant clam!Imagine those little feet coming on deck. A clam twice the size of the ship. Feet first. You're standing there shivering with fear, you grab one of these. This is a belaying pin. They used to have these stuck in the holes all around the ship… You probably didn't know what this is for; you probably had an idea, but you were wrong. They used to have these stuck in the holes all along the sides of the ship, everywhere. You wouldn't know what this is for unless you was that guy that night.I mean, you'd grab this out of the hole, run on over there, bam bam on them little feet! Back into the ocean would go a hurt, but not defeated, humongous, giant clam. Ready to strike again when opportunity was better. You know not even the coastal villages was safe from them big clams. You know them big clams had an inland range of about 15 miles. Think of that. I mean our early pioneers and the settlers built little houses all up and down the coast you know. A little inland and stuff like that and they didn't have houses like we got now, with bathrooms and stuff. They built little privies out back. And late at night, maybe a kid would have to go, and he'd go stomping out there in the moonlight. And all they'd hear for miles around...(loud clap/belch).... One less kid for America. One more smiling, smurking, humongous, giant clam.So Americans built forts. Them forts --you know—them pictures of them forts with the wooden points all around. You probably thought them points was for Indians but that's stupid! 'Cause Indians know about doors. But clams didn't. Even if a clam knew about a door, so what? A clam couldn't fit in a door. I mean, he'd come stomping up to a fort at night, put them feet on them points, jump back crying, tears coming out of them everywhere. But Americans couldn't live in forts forever. You couldn't just build one big fort around America. How would you go to the beach? So what they did was they formed groups of people. I mean they had groups of people all up and down the coast form these little alliances. Like up North it was call the Clamshell Alliance. And farther down South it was called the Catfish Alliance. They had these Alliances all up and down the coast defending themselves against these threatening monsters. These humongous giant clams. Andt hey'd go out there, if there was maybe fifteen of them they'd be singing songs in fifteen part harmony. And when one part disappeared, that's how they knew where the clam would be.Which is why Americans only sing in four part harmony to this very day. That proved to be too dangerous. See, what they did was they'd be singing these songs called Clam Chanties, and they'd have these big spears called clampoons. And they'd be walking up and down the beach and the method they eventually devised where they'd have this guy, the most strongest heavy duty true blue American, courageous type dude they could find and they'd have him out there walking up and down the beach by himself with other chicken dudes hiding behind the sand dunes somewhere. He'd be singing the verses. They'd be singing the chorus, and clams would hear 'em. And clams hate music. So clams would come out of the water and they'd come after this one guy. And all you'd see pretty soon was flying all over the sand flying up and down the beach manmanclamclammanmanclam manclamclamman up and down the beach going this way and that way up the hills in the water out of the water behind the trees everywhere. Finally the man would jump over a big sand dune, roll over the side, the clam would come over the dune, fall in the hole and fourteen guys would come out there and stab the shit out of him with their clampoons. That's the way it was. That was one way to deal with them. The other way was to weld two clams together. [I don't believe it. I'm losing it. Hey. What can you do. Another night shot to hell.] Hey, this was serious back then. This was very serious. I mean these songs now are just piddly folk songs. But back then these songs were controversial. These was radical, almost revolutionary songs. Because times was different and clams was a threat to America. That's right. So we want to sing this song tonight about the one last... You see what they did was there was one man, he was one of these men, his name will always be remembered, his name was Reuben Clamzo, and he was one of the last great clam men there ever was. He stuck the last clam stab. The last clampoon into the last clam that was ever seen on this continent. Knowing he would be out of work in an hour. He did it anyway so that you and me could go to the beach in relative safety. That's right. Made America safe for the likes of you and me. And so we sing this song in his memory. He went into whaling like most of them guys did and he got out of that, when he died. You know, clams was much more dangerous than whales. Clams can run in the water, on the water or on the ground, and they are so big sometimes that they can jump and they can spread their kinda shells and kinda almost fly like one of them flying squirrels. You could be standing there thinking that your perfectly safe and all of a sudden whop.... That's true... And so this is the song of this guy by the name of Reuben Clamzo and the song takes place right after he stabbed this clam and the clam was, going through this kinda death dance over on the side somewhere. The song starts there and he goes into whaling and takes you through the next...I sing the part of the guy on the beach by himself. I go like this: Poor old Reuben Clamzo and you go Clamzo Boys Clamzo. That's the part of the fourteen chicken dudes over on the other side. That's what they used to sing. They'd be calling these clams out of the water. Like taunting them making fun of them. Clams would get real mad and come out. Here we go. I want you to sing it in case you ever have an occasion to join such an alliance. You know some of these alliances are still around. Still defending America against things like them clams. If you ever wants to join one, now you have some historic background. So you know where these guys are coming from. It's not just some 60's movement or something, these things go back a long time.Notice the distinction you're going to have to make now between the first and easy Clamzo Boys Clamzo and the more complicated Clamzo Me Boys Clamzo. Stay serious! Folk songs are serious. That's what Pete Seeger told me. Arlo I only want to tell you one thing... Folk songs are serious. I said right. Let's do it in C for Clam...Iet's do it in B... For boy that's a big clam... Iet' s do it in G for Gee, I hope that big clam don't see me. Let's do it in F... For …he sees me. Let's do it back in A...for a clam is coming. Better get this song done quick. The Story of Reuben Clamzo and His Strange Daughter in the Key of A.

Easy Piano - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1110128 Composed by Alex Lewis. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Houston-Piano Studio #712462. Published by Houston-Piano Studio (A0.1110128). Easy Sailing for Piano was a composition I wrote a few months into the corona-virus pandemic. My dad talked to me about writing piano music like this and almost immediately the idea for this composition popped into my head. I've created maybe over twenty compositions so far in my life, and this was the first one where I knew exactly how it was going to sound from the moment I got the idea. With all the other pieces, I started out with a small idea and grew from there. But as I said, with Easy Sailing for Piano, I knew exactly how the piece would go. Well... There is one thing that's different. Originally, I wanted Easy Sailing for Piano to be a lot longer. The idea was to increase in difficulty the further into the music you went. The problem with that idea was that I also wanted this to be an easy song to learn. It was clear that if I continued the composition, I was going to make it unsuitable for beginners to play. The parts that survived sound really good though. Easy Sailing for Piano should be pleasant to listen to and play. Easy Sailing for Piano is technically a theme and variations. If you don't know, a theme and variations is a musical form. It starts with a melody that establishes the mood of the composition, and the variations basically play around with that theme. Now this piece only has the theme and the first variation. I'm pretty sure you need more than one variation for it to officially be a theme and variations. But, I don't think that matters too much since it's for beginners and not advanced students. In the future, I might write a sequal to this composition. I think I might call it Easy Sailing for Piano 2, or something along those lines. It will have a theme that's similar to this video's, but it will be much, much longer. If you purchase the sheet music for Easy Sailing for Piano, I hope you enjoy it! This is supposed to be a pleasant song to listen to and perform.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.927456 Composed by Roger Jones, Alison Fuggle. Arranged by Annie Routley. Christian,Easter,Musical/Show,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 98 pages. Christian Music Ministries #6135917. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927456). Rock - a worship musical.Full piano score with SATB choir, solo parts and narration.Starting in Caesarea, Peter's story unfolds in flashback. From fishing, his 3 years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus calls Peter 'the Rock' - but we see that only in Christ, and filled with His Spirit, is Peter on solid ground.Synopsis Traditional words introduce the theme of the Musical: Jesus is our ROCK OF AGES, but the story starts IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. Here, centurion Cornelius declares I’ve had a vision - but who can explain it, who can help? Cornelius’ household tell of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus, and we are taken back to Galilee when Peter, a fisherman, WORKING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, hears Jesus’ call to leave your nets and leave your boats. He responds I WILL FOLLOW YOU. For three years Peter follows Jesus, and when challenged declares YOU ARE MESSIAH, the Son of the living God! Jesus replies On this rock I will build my church, then, ominously, points towards Jerusalem. He and his followers eventually arrive in the city at Passover, and during the meal they wonder IN THIS BREAD, IN THIS WINE, is there love for me? At first reluctant, Peter allows Jesus to wash his feet. Events turn against Jesus; he is arrested, and Peter is afraid. The taunt SURELY YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WITH HIM sees Peter denying he ever knew Jesus. Then their eyes meet across the courtyard, and Peter is devastated by his own failure. But even at such an awful time as this, THE LOOK OF LOVE contains acceptance and hope. WERE YOU THERE WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED MY LORD? Peter wasn’t - he was in hiding along with many of the disciples. But after the resurrection, Jesus greets Peter and the others in Galilee: THIS IS THE PLACE – I am the Lord who comes to meet you here. Jesus asks: SIMON PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME? After being asked three times Peter reaches reality: Lord, you know everything … you know how much I love you! and receives the commission Feed my sheep. Peter and the disciples return to Jerusalem, and wait for the promised Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the Spirit comes, and as A CHOSEN PEOPLE, the followers of Jesus receive his power. Peter preaches, and thousands believe and respond JUST AS I AM … O Lamb of God I come. The Church is born and in the power of the Spirit begin WORKING IN THE FATHER’S BUSINESS, doing the things that Jesus did! Peter eventually arrives IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. He shares his vision with Cornelius and his household, and declares God has no favourites … you can be saved too … if you believe in Jesus. They believe, receive the power of the Spirit, and Gentiles also become members of the Chosen People, called out of darkness into wonderful light! Peter’s vision is fulfilled – the Gospel is for all who believe in Jesus. Peter declares HE IS THE STONE that the builders rejected … on Jesus the ROCK I will build my life! .

Millicent E Taffe #866665. Published by Millicent E Taffe (A0.1274523). My music is a merging of lovers rock and neo soul. I write predominantly about music of the heart, or romantic music for those who are blissfully in love. I have not had an easy road, so I write from brokenness, disappointment and sorrow, because I am trying to heal.At a young age, I always felt sad and knew that I was interested in the deep topics of why we are here, so I started to write poems, which I found therapeutic because they allowed me to get out emotions that I could not express, or understand.I want to bring understanding to those who like me have been through heavy stuff, that keeps repeating and the one is always the one, not!. Yet, we keep hoping because all around us are happy, pda couples who just sail into relationships that we can only dream of.I am now resigned to help the World by putting into song, all the wrongs they did because I now believe that this is my destiny. For me hope has gone, but for you I will clear your road of all the dross and debris, so you can cruise into romantic happiness. This song burst forth demanding to be heard after months of emotional turmoil and heartbreak, and with every listen, I heal a little bit more. Please take a listen to my healing song Hello My Love, and if you want a visual dramatization that is as powerful as the song, then watch the video.

Concert Band - SKU: A0.1024253 Composed by Sir Lunch. Latin. Score and parts. 76 pages. Sir Lunch #2917889. Published by Sir Lunch (A0.1024253). Some years ago, I saw a video of an orangutang sort of running about with some latin music and it was labled Salsa Time and I knew that someday I would write a piece with that title. Well, once it was finished, and I listened and meditated over what it said to me, what I heard was the westward migration of the early settlers of America, only in and through Mexico. Journey To The Setting Sun became my title, but to give it a bit more authenticity, the title is in Spanish, and has become Viaje al Atardeser. The piece opens with a train whistle. If you have none, the Flute 1 & 2 parts have it simulated. Rehearsal markers 1A through 1D serve as layers that lead to the main melody starting at A. At letter B, the Solo 1st trumpet takes on the melody with a slight variation of rhythm. There is a trombone trio from C to D. If you have 3 stong trombonists, I recommend the Eupf and Baritone TC opt out of playing through this section, in order to highlight your great trombone section. *Optional* You may, at your discretion put a fermata after the first beat of the bar before D and allow your solo trumpeter to play a free form cadenza. The mp3 has a sample of how this would sound. The cadenza would end with the pick-up to letter D and you may feel free to let that high note of the solo trumpet ring for a second or two before cuing the rest of the band in. Although from D to the a tempo 4 bars before E is a trumpet solo, the most crucial part of that section is the tambourine part going into double time, creating that extra pop and sense of urgency. This piece represents a watershed moment in my life, as it is my first composition for Concert Band.I encourage all feedback at sirlunch@gmail.comI hope you enjoy it!

Published by Bill ORANGE Lyons (A0.1217531). So, why would an American arrange O Canada? Well, for one, it's one of best anthems around. Truth be told, I used to direct a choir I founded (called the Orange Korale) and we were doing the Star-Spangled Banner for various MLB teams and knew eventually we'd need to sing the Canadian Anthem and finally had that chance for the Toronto team while playing here in the states and they loved it, and I think you will too.Wanting to keep it simple, I did not incorporate any French verse(s) so I hope you'll simply enjoy this simple but beautiful piece. Although it states written for SAATB, there is one place where the alto splits but only for a few notes. It is an easy arrangement but one that should be pleasing to all who hear it. This is a very easy chart to perform. Just tell them it was arranged by someone in one of the 'southern' provinces. I won't tell if you don't. :-).
