Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.985307 By The Chainsmokers. By Andrew Taggart, Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion. Arranged by Jaan Varts. Pop. If you´re a beginner then the key to playing this arrangement is simplification - skip the small details and focus on the most essential stuff. The more advanced level = more details. I´ll cover it below for every part. The form and key is 100% the same as original so you can play along with the actual song. Share, like and subscribe if you enjoy this. More songs coming soon, so say tuned:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The song is bult on G-A-Bm progression and the chords are played throughout the song. 1) Rhythm Rhythm part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). This is the easiest part of the arrangement. If you´re a beginner then start from here. It´s just variations of G-A-Bm chord progression with different rhythms and in different positions. 2) Melody Melody part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). As usual, the melody is the hardest part, since it features lots of slides and legatos. The chorus part features some funky rhythm playing as well. If you´re a beginner, then simplify as much as ou can – leave out all the embelishments, play simpler rhythms, leave out notes when there are more than one note played at a time etc etc. 3) Rhythm 2 Rhythm 2 part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). A little trickier rhythm part features some fingerstyle playing, also hiting the guitar as a drum. The strumming patterns are quite easy, but try to get a steady drum-like beat going on. In the choruses there are some power chords and in the ending we have some riffs as well.

Large Ensemble Choir - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.747194 Composed by Christopher R. Brown. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 92 pages. Christopher Brown #4601913. Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747194). About the song: This anthem begins by compelling the listener and the performer to consider the parable of the hidden treasure and the pearl. The second verse reflects on David's superlative description of God's Word in Ps. 19. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul speaks of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ when compared to everything else in this life. The lyrics of this song are intended to echo these Truths, encourage the believer, and testify to the incomparable gift of entering into the Kingdom of God, understanding His Word, and being strengthened and set free to do the good works that He prepared in advance for us to do.Can be performed with piano accompaniment only, OR with additional band members (rhythm chart included), OR with full orchestra. Please Note:You can purchase individual copies of the choral score separately on Sheet Music Plus. Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Vibraphone,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987848 Composed by Robert M. Greenberg. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 54 pages. Robert M. Greenberg #90285. Published by Robert M. Greenberg (A0.987848). Preferred Contact Information: RMonteverdi@comcast.net Performing Rights Organization: BMI Website: robertgreenbergmusic.com Facebook Band Page: facebook.com/RobertGreenbergMusic Duration: ca. 12 minutes Year of composition: 2006 Program Note: The mind searches for the oddest of couples. Felix Unger and Oscar Madison. Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett. The violin and the vibraphone. Aside from the letter V, the two instruments have almost nothing in common. We consider: the violin is the most aristocratic instrument in the Western musical tradition, the prima donna of the instrumental world, an instrument that has had, lavished upon it, more extraordinary music than any other since its invention roughly 475 years ago. And then there’s the vibraphone, a percussion instrument with pitched metal bars and motor-driven resonators that produce a vibrato. Invented around 1925, it’s an instrument created for dance bands and popular music. Anything You Can Do . . . is a confrontation between these two musical opposites. A sense of contest characterizes the entire piece, as the vibraphone seeks to establish its bona fides side by side with the violin, which in turn attempts to keep the vibraphone in its place by beating it at its own game. The first movement is conceived as a race, in which each instrument acts like the other – the violin explosively and percussively, and the vibraphone with lengthy bowed passages – while seeking to shake off the other. The movement concludes with the violin paying a series of huge, chords and a long, sustained triple-stop that, much to its fury, the vibraphone manages to match with a sustained double-stop of its own. The movement ends in a draw. The second movement begins with the violin doing its best to match the vibrato patterns of the vibraphone’s variable motor. Ultimately, the violin breaks free and plays a broad, arioso-styled melody. The vibraphone tries to match it, but cannot; try as it might, its fixed range cannot reach the stratospheric heights of the violin. Advantage violin. The third movement is constructed in three sections. In the outer sections, rapidly rising and falling lines and counter rhythms pervade as each instrument seeks to gain an advantage over the other. In the middle section, alternating, hocket-like phrases give way to bent notes and glissandi in the vibraphone, which infuriates the violin (how dare this upstart percussion instrument do something ordinarily associated with me?). The movement concludes with the violin once again attempting to lord its greater range over the vibraphone by playing a long sustained F# - the same pitch that conquered the vibraphone at the end of the second movement – only to have the vibraphone top it by playing a harmonic a full seven notes above the F#. Game, set, match: vibraphone. Some respect, please, for the new kid on the block. Anything You Can Do . . . is dedicated, with a thousand-and-one thanks, to Victor Romasevich and Jack van Geem.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1208286 By Ray LaMontagne. By Ray LaMontagne. Arranged by Adam Overacker for String Love. 20th Century,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter,Wedding. 21 pages. String Love #806388. Published by String Love (A0.1208286). String Quartet arrangement of You Are The Best Thing, the 2008 hit from Ray LaMontagne.  It's catchy and dancy and a perfect recessional song.  Arranged by Adam Overacker for String Love string quartet, this instant classic is Ray’s top song on Spotify with over 165,000,000 streams!  It’s been a constant on our playlists for preludes, cocktail hours, and ceremonies for many years.  It’s got a singable and recognizable melody, but it’s also got an infectious rhythm that is both fun to listen to and fun to play.  The song is from Ray’s album Gossip in the Grain, an album that Pop Matters calls the artist’s most cohesive, career-defining album to date.†Billboard also loved the album, saying While there's not a bad song in the bunch, once you've heard LaMontagne loosen up, you're left starving for more of it.†You Are The Best Thing has been covered by numerous artists and has appeared in movies and tv shows including I Love You, Man, Bad Moms, and American Idol.  If you’d like a version without chord changes or ossia’s just get a hold of us on our website, we’d be happy to provide that for you.  Same with violin 3 / viola tc. Be sure to check out our other arrangements as well!

Musiscorz #396039. Published by Musiscorz (A0.788952). My arrangement of the Stevie Wonders performance on Innervisions to try and get as close to the original as possible, using the instruments for my school band. It does sound different using saxophones but have included parts for Brass Sextet. It is transcribed with Rhythm section parts for those that find it difficult to read chords or improvise/comp. In the arrangement, I have added the parts for the Vocal Lead to be played by various instrumentalists you might want to feature such as Alto Sax Lead with Tenor Sax backings, Tenor Lead and Tenor Sax Backings, Clarinet Lead. There is the opportunity to add multiple percussionists in addition to the drumkit. It was a fun song to arrange and the band really love playing this song with the Latin Vibe. Band Line up: Lead Vox and BV's, Alto Saxes x3, Tenor Saxes x 2, Bari Sax, Trumpets x 3, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Micro Korg Keys - Organ ,Keys - Piano,, Nord - Electric piano overdriven, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Egg Shaker,, Cabasa, African shaker, Cow bell.

Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.526358 By Aerosmith. By Diane Warren. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Film/TV,Pop,Rock. 9 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #6561445. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.526358). I Don't Want To Miss A Thing was recorded by Aerosmith for the smash hit 1998 film Armageddon, and it immediately became a huge success. The soulful power ballad debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, where it remained for 4 weeks, and it remains the band's biggest hit to this day; and of course it's still a very popular request for slow dances and weddings. As the cellist for Aerosmith's Las Vegas residency show, I've performed this song with the band over 50 times, so this one has a special place in my heart! This arrangement for violin & cello duet maintains the beautiful harmonies, soaring melodies, driving beat, and dynamic passion of the original, for a chart that your audience will love listening to as much as you love playing it! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this will also be perfect for receptions, proposals, pop concerts, or any other occasion that you need to pull on your audience's heartstrings. Rated advanced intermediate, mainly for a number of tricky rhythms and a few high notes in the violin parts. Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.785792). One of the famous rags recorded on piano roll by Joplin in 1902.This arrangement has been made simpler to allow more pianists to have a go at this great rag.The main change was to convert it to 4/4 instead of the (2/4 common two-step time signature for rags). The main reason is for easy of reading- and maybe easier on the eye to comprehendI have taken out nearly all of the large stretches and limited the harmony parts to what is essential and nothing more. There are no big leaps or complex rhythms. It is 4 pages long and 4 mins 30 in length. The youtube link has the full score for you to assess suitability.I have set it for intermediate player- it's great fun and would be useful as a showpiece, something to play for concerts, recitals, productions, etc.

A Clarinet,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1156934 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Christmas,Classical,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. Score and part. 5 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #757278. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1156934). This arrangement adapted for clarinet in A and piano was designed to make its listeners weep with emotion, because the adaptation preserves the original essence of the work, keeping its integrity faithful to what Beethoven wanted to transmit, with only a slight change in tone and addition of harmonic resources in the structure of the arrangement. Even though it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion, being intended for beginner students who want to immerse themselves in the universe of romantic music, and nothing better than starting with the transitional composer of this period, which also does not prevent professional teachers from using it for recitals, academic presentations or didactic material in their classes as an ensemble practice. Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor sharp, Op. 27, No. 2, is one of his most popular compositions and was an audience favorite even in his day. Written when Beethoven was 31, the Moonlight Sonata (Mondscheinsonate in German) was composed after he finished some commissioned works, but there is no evidence that he was hired to write this work. It did not receive its nickname until 1832, five years after Beethoven's death. It was the critic Ludwig Rellstab who compared the music to a moonlighting on Lake Lucerne. This comparison was adopted as a nickname for the work. Called Quasi una fantasia by the author - like its companion Op. 27, No. 1 - the piece was completed in 1801 and dedicated the following year to one of the composer's pupils. Beethoven chose to open the sonata with a slow, hypnotic arpeggio movement, the best known of the entire work. The dotted rhythm of its minimal melody evokes the tradition of 'Trauermusik' (funeral music).

Alternate Bb parts included for Eb and Alto. Basset horn part included (doubles Alto)).You may print multiple parts as needed for your ensemble. The Monk’s Turned Topsy-Turvy is an original fantasy for clarinet choir, based on the old French-Canadian children’s song, Ah! Si mon moine voulait danser! (Danse, mon moine, danse). The title is a play on words: moine means both monk and spinning top in French. The lyrics speak of persuading mon moine to dance by offering various articles of clothing, such as a hood or cap. After a brief, yet bold, introduction, the piece jumps into a straightforward rendition of the tune. From there, the melody is repeated, bringing in other voices and added flourishes. While the tune starts to repeat a third time, it doesn’t get to finish its full statement. It’s interrupted by a run up through the ensemble into a rollicking 7/8 section. With a rhythmic accompaniment underneath, the jaunty melody begins in the third clarinets. The upper instruments take over briefly in 6/8, then the tune returns to 7/8. After a quick breather, the accompaniment introduces an upward sweep motif. This alternates with the accompaniment pattern heard at the beginning of the 7/8 section. The lower voices then take control, driving downward into a different tonality and mood. An undulating accompaniment sets a dreamlike feel, with different voices quoting fragments of the theme. The accompaniment transfers between voices throughout the section, eventually changing back into a 3/4, then a 2/4 feel, resulting in a transition back to the original feel of the piece. The low voices get the melody, with rhythmic accompaniment and racing runs throughout the other sections. The melody goes a bit topsy-turvy before the group comes together in the descending quarter note motif from the beginning of the piece, bringing us to the coda. There’s one final quote of the opening of the main theme from the low voices, leading to a whirlwind in the first and Eb with accented notes and suspensions underneath. The Eb pipes up with one last comment and the group closes out the piece. Also available for concert band (S0.708971)

Instructional. Score and parts. 124 pages. Dots and Beams #4269045. Published by Dots and Beams (A0.931832). Dots and Beams creates a wide variety of reading materials for musicians at all skill levels and for all instruments. The goal of Dots and Beams is to break music down into its elements and provide reading material focused on systematically developing each element in isolation. These books can be used in any number of ways and are an invaluable tool for creative musicians who enjoy inventing new exercises. In addition, these books make excellent, thoughtfully graduated sight-reading material for a wide range of ability levels from student to professional. This collection presents its user with a series of notes on a treble staff in the context of increasingly complex rhythmic material. The pitch material in this book is entirely diatonic with a space left at the beginning of each system in which one can write a key signature. Early chapters use only notes on the staff while subsequent chapters begin to add notes on ledger lines above and below the staff. Each chapter contains two exercises in each of the following time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8. This gives exercises in 2, 3, and 4 beats per bar in both simple and compound meters. From chapter to chapter the conceptual difficulty of the rhythmic material increases. The exercises in this collection are intentionally aimless, wandering, and difficult to internalize. They resemble standard melodies on the surface but don’t emphasize any particular tonal centre or harmonic movement. They are designed this way for several reasons. In keeping the melodic material as non-specific as possible the door is left open for the materials to be used in conjunction with any number of exercises, something that would be much more difficult with a composition that dictates the harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic phrasing. It also allows the user to read the exercises in any key signature, making this a great tool to help students learn to think in different keys. The unpredictability of these exercises also forces the user to process every note and rhythm as its own event without relying on pattern recognition or melodic and harmonic tendencies to help in figuring out the notes and rhythms. While I absolutely agree that the skill of predicting music’s direction from harmonic and melodic cues is an essential skill for any musician to develop, I think we will all agree that resources for this type of reading practice are already abundant. This collection, on the other hand, is designed to develop the user’s ability to process raw musical data. Once this skill is strengthened and internalized it is my belief that the act of reading more predictable and typically melodic music will be made much easier as the processing of notes and rhythms will be second nature, allowing the musician to focus on musicality. This book is a supplement to practising sight-reading using real music, not a replacement; I encourage you to use both. If this material is being used to practice sight-reading, it is encouraged to cycle through the exercises quickly rather than dwelling on a particular exercise for a long period of time. The goal in practising sight-reading is not to learn the material but to develop the skill of reading new material. Some suggestions for how to use this book include: Read each exercise in all 15 key signatures from 7 flats to 7 sharps. Practice key changes by writing in a different key signature for each system. Increase the challenge of the previous exercise by using a metronome on weak beats. For example, instead of putting the metronome click on each quarter-note in 4/4, play the exercise with the metronome giving the second eighth note of each beat, or the last sixteenth note, or beats 2 and 4. Be creative with this one, the possib.

Cello,Clarinet,Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1381033 Composed by Jason V. Barabba. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Disco. 48 pages. Barabba Music #965749. Published by Barabba Music (A0.1381033). It’s difficult to know what to say about this piece. It will probably always be an aberration when considered as part of my larger body of works. My challenge when writing this piece was to incorporate two different dance styles, and I immediately decided it was time to face the disco music of my childhood. Yes, I had the Bee Gees on LP when I was a kid.…and ABBA…but I left them out of this piece.Obviously, this is meant to be fun. There are direct (if not always obvious) quotations to the following songs:       Anita Ward’s “Ring My Bellâ€Â       “Night Fever†by the Bee Gees       Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive†(Just had to be included)       Lipps Inc’s “Funktownâ€Â       and “Boogie Nights†from HeatwaveThe ancient dance form known as the pavane is, weirdly enough, the perfect pairing with the disco…in that their rhythmic structures easily go together, allowing me to spread the disco material around throughout the piece. In fact, the references to “I Will Survive†are in the slower pavane section, not the disco. The piece is basic A-B-A form (Disco-Pavane-Disco) with a fadeout ending…because in all my research I don’t remember finding a single disco piece that didn’t have a fadeout ending. It just wasn’t done. Please have some fun listening to this piece, because I had a great time writing it. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever written..pdf contains a complete set of score and parts. There are also versions with Flute and Oboe in place of the clarinet available. For more information visit www.jasonbarabba.com.
