He is often referred to as J. B. Foerster, and his surname is sometimes spelled Förster.-Life-Foerster was born in Prague. His ancestors were of Bohemian German ethnicity, but had assimilated into the Czech community. The family normally lived in Prague and was musical. His father, a composer also named Josef Foerster, taught at the Conservatory. (His father's students included Franz Lehár.) His brother was artist Viktor Foerster. Josef was educated accordingly, and duly studied there.-Style-Foerster produced numerous compositions. His music is not nationalistic in the sense of employing the idioms of Czech folk music. The first several bars came to me in a 2011 vivid dream in which Paul McCandless was playing soaring soprano sax melodies and Jaye Alison Moscariello was singing lyrics I did not remember from the dream. It was originally in D with some Dad-related chord progressions. This version is in A to better fit the alto voice. After writing 3 verses of rather convoluted lyrics about healing the planet, Jaye helped pare it down to one powerful verse that could be a world anthem. George and Paul play solos during the instrumental break. We think this would make a great national, or international, anthem. This is our planet, the one that we all share Let us remember that all life breathes the air Our world is sacred, its future in our trust And it continues after bodies turn to dust Shall we continue to think we own the beasts? Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889431). Blind Mary was composed by O`Carolan, it is an irresistible enchanting little piece. In this file there are 3 versions for 3 different sizes of harps. One in F for a big harp, one in Eb for medium size and the one in F for a little 3 oct. lap harp a very similar one to the one that usually O`Carolan used to perform. The melodic bass played with the left hand demands a little bit of coordination but the arrangement is focused in the main melody and is very easy to perform in all this 3 versions. The piece is so beautiful that I recommend it to be played always twice in a row. Some interpretation symbols are used as a performance suggestion. Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering. Feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills and taste. Have fun! The score was written on Finale. The sound file is the version in Eb for a medium size diatonic harp, it was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of the score. Known as „The Last Irish Bard, he is an Honored and Beloved Irish composer. He became an itinerante harpist after losing his eyesight to smallpox. Extremely talented, he composed a vast repertoire of music and left also a well known number of real good stories to tell due to his rich temperament, social caracter and spicy sense of humor. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889441). Celtiberian Fantasy For Violin And Cello Celtiberian Fantasy was composed while righting a finale for the Princess of Sintra, both pieces are „sisters. To the last note of „The Princess Of Sintra follows the first of the „Celtiberian Fantasy. Together with the „Celtiberian Dance as an Intro all this 3 pieces can be performed one after the other without interruption. Some interpretation symbols where used in the score, they are mere personal suggestions for a performance. Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering. The bowing is very often simply used as a reference to musical legato. The staccato is meant to shorten the length of the notes to half of its duration and is often used to simplify the righting and the reading of the score. The piece is not difficult but it requires focused endurance and some practice on certain passages. Once learned you will never forget it. When performed Live It will give you back a great feedback from the public, you will always want to have it in your repertoire.
