Piano Solo - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1368460 Composed by J. Pleyel. Arranged by Jose Valladares. 19th Century. Score. 1 pages. Circlesquare Music #952806. Published by Circlesquare Music (A0.1368460). Johann Baptist (Ignaz) Pleyel was an Austrian-born French composer, music publisher, and piano manufacturer who lived during the Classical era. Born in 1757, Pleyel was a student of the illustrious Joseph Haydn and became a prolific composer in his own right. Pleyel's compositions were widely popular during his lifetime, known for their melodic appeal and classical elegance. The Minuet and Trio in C Major by J. Pleyel is a composition that embodies the grace and charm typical of the Classical era. Here are some aspects you might expect from this composition:Form and Structure: The minuet and trio form was a common and beloved structure during the Classical period. It typically consists of two contrasting sections: the minuet (A) and the trio (B), followed by a repeat of the minuet (A). The minuet section is usually in a moderate triple meter with a stately character, while the trio provides contrast in texture, key, or dynamics.C Major Key: Being in C Major, the piece is likely to have a bright and cheerful character. The key of C Major is often associated with purity and simplicity, making it a popular choice for compositions meant to convey elegance and grace.Melodic Charm: Pleyel was renowned for his ability to craft melodies that were both memorable and elegant. The minuet section of the piece would typically feature a tuneful and graceful melody, while the trio might offer a contrasting theme or a variation in melodic contour.Dance Influence: The minuet was originally a dance form, and this influence is reflected in the rhythmic structure and phrasing of the music. Pleyel's Minuet and Trio in C Major would likely encapsulate the poised and refined dance movements through its rhythmic precision and flowing lines.

Composed by Joseph Haydn (1732 - 1809). Arranged by Pat Spence. Classical, Concert, Graduation, Standards. 20 pages. Piper Publications #5355815. Published by Piper Publications
This Divertimento is an arrangement of the 82nd trio which Haydn composed for baryton, viola and cello. His employer, Prince Esterhazy, played the baryton - a new stringed instrument which never became popular - with enthusiasm. The Prince's progress on the instrument can be followed through the 126 trios as can Haydn's musical ingenuity as he experimented with style and harmony. The three movements, Adagio, Allegro & Minuet & Trio composed in about 1790 are fun to play and would make an enjoyable concert piece for players of intermediate standard or above.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute - Level 3 - SKU: A0.799282 Composed by Franz Joseph Haydn. Arranged by Richard A. Evans. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Wedding. 9 pages. Richard A. Evans #406293. Published by Richard A. Evans (A0.799282). The delightful trio by Franz Joseph Haydn was originally written as a baryton, violin or viola and cello trio for Prince Esterhazy who played the baryton, an instrument that is obsolete today. Haydn wrote 126 of these baryton trios along with other works for the instrument including three concertos. The trio is in two movements, a Moderato and Minuet with Trio. This arrangement is for a trio of woodwinds, flute, Bb clarinet and bassoon with an optional Bb bass clarinet part and is suitable for intermediate players.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1405116 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Robert Stevens. Chamber,Classical. 60 pages. SAXpress.com #988156. Published by SAXpress.com (A0.1405116). Divertimento in B Flat (1783) K439b no 2 W. A. Mozart ((1756 – 1791)) Saxophone Trio, flexible instrumentation Divertimento in B Flat K.439b by Mozart, arranged for sax trio, flexible instrumentation. This is number two of a set of five divertimentos written around 1783. Originally, the works were written for 3 basset horns but were also performed by other wind and string ensembles. They are commonly performed by two clarinets and a bassoon today. This arrangement is for saxophone trio with flexible scoring.Divertimento in B Flat has five movements: Allegro (Common time, tempo around 124 bpm, B-flat major throughout, about 2.25 minutes) Minuetto 1 (3/4 time, tempo around 124-136 bpm, ABA form, B-flat major to E-flat major to B-flat, about 3.75 minutes) Larghetto (3/4 time, tempo around 60 bpm, B flat major throughout, about 4 minutes) Minuetto 2 (3/4 time, tempo around 136 – 144 bpm, ABA form, B-flat major to F to B-flat major, about 3.5 minutes) Rondo (2/4 time, tempo around 144 – 152 bpm, ABACA form, B-flat major except when the C section wanders to F minor, about 3.25 minutes) The first movement features a lively main theme and a carefree, somewhat mellow alternate theme. Minuet 1 has a graceful main theme and relaxed, somewhat playful trio section. The movement three Larghetto is slow and dreamy. It even seems to yawn when the music several times indulges in long pauses. The second Minuet movement is livelier and a bit more colorful and playful than the first with a lively trio section. The concluding Rondo (Allegro) is energetic and colorful, with syncopations and interesting key shifts to add interest. This version of Divertimento in B-flat includes the following parts: Full trio score (C score), 20pp Part 1 – soprano saxophone, 8pp Part 2 – soprano saxophone 2, 8pp Part 2 – alto saxophone, 8pp Part 3 – tenor saxophone, 8pp Part 3 – baritone saxophone, 8pp The printed score and parts are 9″x 12″. The alternate parts included with this arrangement allow a great deal of flexibility in your ensemble. The parts can be played in any combination as long as part one, two, and three are covered. Probably Soprano-Alto-Tenor or Soprano-Alto-Baritone would be the most common grouping. However, even though it is not specified on the parts, there is no reason the piece could not be played by a Tenor/Tenor/Baritone ensemble. Also if a bass sax is available it could certainly cover the part 3 tenor sax part.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Flute - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1138510 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Early Music,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738850. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138510). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for flute trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. 3: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works. 4: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. 5: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Bonus: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism, where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Brass Ensemble - Level 5 - SKU: A0.810913 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Sauer, Ralph. Classical. Score and parts. 120 pages. Gordon Cherry #3684305. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.810913). The Five Divertimenti K. 439b consists of 25 pieces originally scored for two clarinets or basset horns and bassoon. It is assumed that Mozart wrote these works for the Stadler brothers, Anton (famous for the Clarinet Concerto) and Johann. Originally scored in C major (Mr. Sauer has arranged them in keys that are more suitable for the Trombone), the 25 pieces were grouped into five movements each. The styles of the movements include Sonata-allegro, Minuet and Trio, Larghetto, Adagio, Rondo and even a Polonaise. This collection of the Five Divertimenti is an immense amount of very entertaining music, all beautifully arranged by Ralph Sauer for three advanced Trombonists.
