Morning is the 9am walk on that crowded street, the swaying of a thousand corn stalks in an endless field, and the drops of water that make up an ocean. Always in a crowd. Always alone.

Have you ever had a dog that was a special, loyal friend? Well, Buster was a black and white pomeranian that will always have a special spot in my family's hearts. He loved to play football with the kids, and he loved to take walks with me. After we had to put him to sleep, I woke up around 1:00 a.m. one morning and wrote this song in memory of Buster. Buster's Walk is a cheerful little piece in 3/4 time, full of rich chords and a haunting melody. It is in the key of F Major, includes some grace notes, arpeggiated chords, lots of helpful fingering, and resembles music from the early 1900's. (I always picture Charlie Chaplin). This makes a great recital piece, or part of your Assisted Living entertainment repertoire. Every time I play Buster's Walk, I can still see him walking beside me with that perky, little smiling face; I hope you can picture him, too. Copyright 2007 Amy J. Snyder.

A middle section in the minor mode features tremoli in the piano. This is a restless, energetic section which leads to the return of the theme. The movement ends with the cello and violin intertwined, while the piano plays bird calls above. -Gwyneth Walker.

In addition, this tune is punctuated by the acclamation of In the Great Gettin' Up Morning, which celebrates waking up in heaven.This arrangement is an Intermediate Piano solo in the key of C major. Although particularly appropriate for Palm Sunday and Easter services, it will gladden the hearts of the pianist and the congregation whenever and where ever it is performed.

The range does not go above the soprano top C (2 ledger lines above the treble clef) and the settings avoid the difficult transition a to b between the chalumeau and clarino ranges. The key signatures (as written) range from two flats to three sharps. The entire collection is available here as a set for $22.00 (15 easy clarinet trios) or, if preferred, the individual pieces are also available separately (at $2.50 each). As each piece comprises only one or two pages the players will be able to read directly from the scores, without the need for separate parts (which also gives the advantage of being able to see what the others are playing.
