Flute,Horn,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1381380 Composed by Jason V. Barabba. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Historic. 36 pages. Barabba Music #966091. Published by Barabba Music (A0.1381380). For Flute, Horn and NarratorTexts taken from Forsyth’s Orchestration. Commissioned by Peggy Moran with Kent Leslie, Bernhard Scully and Angela Winter Duration Approximately 11 minutesDecisions about the narration should be made with the acoustics of the hall and the voice of the narrator in mind. If no amplification is needed, that’s great. All the narrator’s parts are in the bold, boxed texts with quote marks. When a specific beat is not indicated, the text can be ready calmly and at a comfortable speed without concern for meter or pulse. The narrator should read the text with a sense of importance, but also sound relaxed…like an academic lecture. Even in places where the text is indicated for a specific beat within a measure, they should sound natural and not performative..pdf download include a full set of performance parts. Voice, recorder and percussion - Digital Download Minor: Dominant and Subdominant Triads. Arranged by Margaret Murray. This edition: score for voice and/or instruments. Orff- Schulwerk. Downloadable. Op. 5. Schott Music - Digital #Q49516. Published by Schott Music - Digital
English.<br> <br> Carl Orff devoted much of his life to the development of a philosophy of Music for Children, based on his belief that music is the natural outcome of speech, rhythm and movement. His ideas and pioneering work have had a major influence on music and dance education throughout the world and today that work continues under the guidance of leading teachers and educators in many countries. The five basic German volumes of Music for Children by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman were published between 1950 and 1954. Editions have since been published in Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Ghana, Great Britain (including a special Welsh edition), Greece, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latin-America, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the USA. In 1952 the first edition in translation appeared an English language adaptation by Doreen Hall and Arnold Walter for their Canadian and American students. A few years later, Margaret Murray independently developed a version (1957-1966), essentially to fulfil the needs of United Kingdom teachers. Inevitably the considerable growth of Orff-Schulwerk in the United States led to the publication of the American Edition (1977) to satisfy the requirements of a different educational system and national heritage. Orff-Schulwerk: Music for Children has proved itself to be a stimulating source of material for music teaching. Carl Orff's fundamental educational ideas have revitalized music education in nursery schools, at all levels of primary and secondary education and in special music schools, based on the concepts that: - music, dance and language are inter-related and animated through rhythm. - when children discover, invent, improvise and compose, their experience of music is intensified. These creative activities are complementary to those of interpreting and listening to music. - all who take part are encouraged to contribute, not only vocally but also instrumentally. - the Orff approach to music education is many sided. it is concerned with practical music-making, it provides fundamental experiences and it lays the foundation for a comprehensive musical training. - movement games and activities for body awareness in space, time and flow, lead to movement improvisation and dance forms. - music and dance have been notated in many different ways in history. Various ways of writing down sounds and music, as well as playing from and interpreting different kinds of sources are being explored. Today, countless teachers and institutions are using these ideas. More and more teachers look for ways of involving their students in active music making. In particular, they seek to challenge their pupils' creativity by the use of music, dance and speech - as media of human expression - as a foundation of all education. A prerequisite for work in Orff-Schulwerk is the artistic and pedagogical training of teachers. The Orff Institute was founded in 1961 as a Department of the 'Mozarteum', in Salzburg, Austria. Training offered includes a four-year diploma course, a two-year post-graduate course, and a one-year-course in English. At the opening of the Orff Institute in Salzburg in 1963, Carl Orff ended his speech with a quotation from Schiller: 'I have done my part, now do yours.' That challenge has been taken up by teachers worldwide. Murray Edition English adaption, with additional material, by Margaret Murray. Besed on, and containing all the rhythmic and instrumental material from the main five volumes of the original German edition. Contents of this fifth volume: Songs and pieces making further use of the modes introduced in Vol. 4, with the addition of the more usual forms of the minor scale with the sharpened seventh. The settings of short dramatic scenes concludes the book.English.<br> <br> Carl Orff devoted much of his life to the development of a philosophy of Music for Children, based on his belief that music is the natural outcome of speech, rhythm and movement. Stephen R Dalrymple #6709747. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818372). Hope of the World: 13 Feed the Flock for Slaughter original song arranged for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ music © 1999 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2024 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ based on Zechariah 11, John 10, and Matthew 27♫ The Judah of Zechariah was marred by exiles who struggled greatly to obey God’s law. Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai and Malachi contain many passages that point out the sin of the people. Joshua, the current high priest, is pictured in one of Zechariah’s visions as wearing filthy apparel, desperately needing cleansing. Sheep in Bible times are grown more for their wool and milk, not so much for the slaughterhouse. Zechariah likens the leadership of Judah to shepherds and flock owners who are primarily concerned with selling meat. But there is a good shepherd who intervenes to lead the flock. He is mistreated by the owners and the shepherds and paid the price of a slave for his efforts. The good shepherd, casts the price on the floor for the potter.♫ Zechariah is looking ahead to a time when the religious leaders of Judah were short on compassion and the needs of people. Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd. We see several parallel’s here in John 10. He called the religious leaders of His day, thieves and robbers, and predators. Judas Iscariot was paid the price of a slave to betray Jesus, which he threw to the ground, but was scooped to purchase a Potter’s Field!♫ Includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir part on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet♫  (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. There are programs online that will allow you to split pdf files so that you can choose the correct part of the pdf for your tablet.)♫ YouTube channel @DalrympleDesigns.

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1100228 By Bill Evans. By Bill Evans. Arranged by Sarah Jane Cion. Film/TV,Jazz. Score and parts. 122 pages. Safflower Music LLC #704104. Published by Safflower Music LLC (A0.1100228). Show Type Tune Back in 1989 I was taking an arranging course at NEC taught by George Russell (who subsequently received the Genius Grant for Lifetime Achievement). I worked on this big band arrangement for about a year. My concept was to take a Bill Evans tune and harmonize his solo for saxes within the body of the arrangement. About a week before graduation it finally came time for the class to have their work heard. I was SO excited! A big band was assembled and after a few days of classmate’s charts workshopped, George Russell fell ill, and I never got to hear my arrangement. I was devastated. It had taken me months to arrange, and hand-write the 17 parts as back then, no computers of course! So, tearfully it all went into a red folder—and eventually made its way to the bottom of a box, a box that somehow followed me throughout life. Recently concerned about doing nothing all week at family camp—I thought to myself, with my present knowledge of music notation software, why not dig up that dusty red folder and input the chart to finally hear it —32 years later? I figured if the work had any merit I could print it out and bring it to Library Band ! So. in the tiny log cabin with laptop and travel keys, I began, soon falling into what can only be described as timeless awareness—future self collaborating with inner conservatory undergrad—and dare say, I was rather impressed with her 😂 Although a few tweaks needed, the work proved nothing short of a sound effort. Tying up this life-long loose-end feels nothing short of spiritually inspired. ðŸ˜.

Voice, recorder and percussion - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q25928 Pentatonic. Composed by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. Arranged by Arnold Walter and Doreen Hall. This edition: score for voice and/or instruments. Orff-Schulwerk. Downloadable, Vocal and performing score. Op. 1. Schott Music - Digital #Q25928. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q25928). English.Carl Orff devoted much of his life to the development of a philosophy of Music for Children, based on his belief that music is the natural outcome of speech, rhythm and movement. His ideas and pioneering work have had a major influence on music and dance education throughout the world and today that work continues under the guidance of leading teachers and educators in many countries. The five basic German volumes of Music for Children by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman were published between 1950 and 1954. Edition have since been published in Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Ghana, Great Britain (including a special Welsh edition), Greece, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latin-America, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the USA. In 1952 the first edition in translation appeared, an English language adaptation by Doreen Hall and Arnold Walter for their Canadian and American students. - the Orff approach to music education is many sided; it is concerned with practical music-making, it provides fundamental experiences and it lays the foundation for a comprehensive musical training. More and more teachers look for ways of invovling their students in active music making. Hall/Walter Edition Based on Volumes 1, 2 and 4 of the original German Edition musik für Kinder, english adaption with additional material by Doreen Hall and Arnold Walter.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.597602 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Flavio Regis Cunha. Concert,Graduation,Holiday,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 12 pages. Flavio Regis Cunha #6712473. Published by Flavio Regis Cunha (A0.597602). It probably comes as a surprise to many to know that Beethoven wrote variations on the current British national anthem, as well as on a jingoistic tune sung every year at the BBC Proms. But indeed he did. In 1803 he was approached by George Thomson, a civil servant living in Edinburgh who was passionate about collecting folk songs from his own country. He wanted Beethoven to compose six sonatas on Scottish melodies-a project which never materialized, but which started a business relationship that lasted until 1820. For Thomson, Beethoven completed some 150 arrangements of Scottish, Welsh and Irish folk songs (including Auld lang syne). Towards the end of 1803, he sent him these two sets of variations for piano, saying they weren’t too difficult and hoping they would have much success.Concerning the 7 Variations on ‘God save the King’, WoO78, Beethoven made the comment that he wanted to ‘show the English what a blessing they have’ with that tune. We don’t really know who wrote it, but it became very popular in 1745 when it started being sung at Drury Lane and Covent Garden to celebrate the putting-down of the Jacobite rising. It travelled over to the Continent where in 1795 it became the royal anthem of Prussia (‘Heil dir im Siegerkranz’).It makes a great theme for variations, and Beethoven has a lot of fun with it. If ever you needed proof of humour in his music, here it is. After some counterpoint in variation 1, he gives us some nimble fingerwork to deal with before an expressive minor-mode variation that can also be played a bit tongue-in-cheek. He changes metre for variation 6, a perky march, and stays in that time signature for variation 7. A lot of the difficulty of this piece depends on the tempo you choose at this point. The coda is inspired: a brief cadenza-like descent of F major broken chords leads us into a solemn return of the theme, but with some piquant and mischievous harmonies. The final allegro brings the work to a bravura conclusion.

Small Ensemble Alto Recorder,Guitar,Hand Percussion,Soprano Recorder,Tenor Recorder - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.775446 Composed by Tielmann Susato and John Dowland. Arranged by John Pinno. Concert,Renaissance,Wedding. Score and parts. 21 pages. John Pinno #3235415. Published by John Pinno (A0.775446). An arrangement of seven pieces from the Renaissance era by Tielmann Susato and John Dowland, for classical guitar quartet along with soprano, alto and tenor recorders. I have played these pieces in public performances, with three classical guitarists and myself playing either classical guitar or one of the recorders. Optionally the whole group could be played with four guitarists and a fifth member playing the different recorders. Additionally, my group has also included my wife playing some light ad-lib parts on bodhran (Irish-style hand drum), tambourine, and finger cymbals. Please also check out some of my other arrangements on Sheet Music Plus for classical guitar solo, and also duos for guitar with flute or voice : http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/john-pinno-sheet-music/3002745 The way I've performed these pieces, including myself and three guitarists: The Allemande gtr 1 part is played with tenor recorder playing the gtr 1 line down an octave, as shown in the tenor rec part, and on repeats, while the tenor rec. is not playing, the gtr 3 player plays the gtr 1 part, leaving the third gtr part unplayed, or the tenor recorder could play it. The Ronde in D minor is for gtr qt only On the Ronde in F major, I played the top part on an alto recorder. The Ronde and the Hupfauf are basically the same tune, but with different time signatures. On the Hupfauf I played the the gtr 1 part and there was no recorder part. For the Hoboeckentanz I played the gtr 1 part from the provided alto recorder part, which is a plain and then ornamented version. On the Ronde in C major I played the gtr 1 line on soprano recorder. The last piece in the group, Now O Now I Needs Must Part, either the soprano recorder plays the gtr 1 part through the whole tune, or alternates with one of the guitarists, as shown in the part for soprano and gtr 1.For any questions, concerns, etc. email John Pinno at jpinno093@hotmail.com

String Ensemble,String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.785978 Composed by W. Trnka. Arranged by Andrew R. Guarrine. Classical. Score and parts. 16 pages. GuarrineMusic #5337131. Published by GuarrineMusic (A0.785978). This three-part canon in G major was originally attributed to Mozart but is now thought to have been composed by the Czech physician/composer Wenzel Trnka (1739-91). Originally this simple canon was originally composed for three voices and I adapted it for two different instrumentations (vln1,2 and vla or vln, vla and ‘cello) to suit your specific needs. The lyrics are concerned with eating and drinking! Great piece for ensemble performances or private occasions. Suggested grade 2+ This download contains BOTH adaptation for $13.95.
