Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.913987 Composed by Arthur Breur. Children,Contemporary. Score. 5 pages. Floating Home Music #4823219. Published by Floating Home Music (A0.913987). Simple harmonies move from major to minor and this lovely piece opens up in to a harp-like verse and a lightly syncopated chorus. From the composer:In 2013 I found an old sequence with the first part of this piece, and suddenly the whole thing came rushing back to me-I had not heard nor even thought of it for probably sixteen years! I ran to the piano and sat down to play it, and could nearly play it all the way through from memory. It's what someone with amnesia must feel when they suddenly remember something about themselves. I remember the piece now, and can play it almost without thinking, but it had been completely missing from my mind for years.DURATION: 3m10s.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1295707 Composed by Donald Ashwander. Ragtime. Score. 6 pages. The Donald Ashwander Estate #886005. Published by The Donald Ashwander Estate (A0.1295707). Forgotten Ballrooms, pays tribute to the burgeoning preservation movement in America that has breathed new life into abandoned and historically significant structures. In the not-so-distant past, only a select few possessed the sophistication to recognize the beauty and historical significance of seemingly ordinary places such as derelict railway depots or 1920s filling stations. Today, however, there are people discovering, restoring, and utilizing these architectural gems. This newfound reverence for the past has given rise to a unique breed of enthusiasts who engage in what can only be described as ballroom archaeology.Forgotten Ballrooms takes inspiration from this rarefied and dedicated movement of ballroom archaeologists. Throughout the country, these individuals venture into the hidden corners of history, opening doors to ghostly rooms that resonate with the echoes of bygone dramas and memories long past. As the pianist embarks on this musical journey, they evoke the palpable atmospheres of these once-vibrant spaces, now shrouded in the mists of time. The composition’s syncopated rhythms, playful melodies, and intricate harmonies pay homage to the era when these ballrooms were the centers of social life and entertainment. Yet, there is an underlying sense of nostalgia and longing, as if the music itself yearns to recapture the forgotten stories and dances of the past.Through Ashwander’s musical tribute, we are reminded of the enduring power of history, culture, and the resolute spirit of those who seek to preserve the memories and grandeur of America's forgotten ballrooms. The final page of the sheet music contains special program notes by Donald Ashwander.

Flute Duet Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1182137 By Helene Schulthess. By Helene Schulthess. Arranged by Helene Schulthess. Chamber,Contest,Festival,Folk,Patriotic,Traditional. Score. 5 pages. Helene Schulthess #781902. Published by Helene Schulthess (A0.1182137). You can purchase all 26 folkdances for 30 $ under this link: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/26-swiss-folk-dances-for-2-flutes-and-accompaniment-digital-sheet-music/21673528The document contents 26 folk dances for two flutes (49 pages) and a score (52 pages)Swiss folk music is very lively. Its diversity reflects the small regional and cultural spaces of Switzerland. Influences from other European countries have also shaped this kind of music since the early 19th century. Polka and Mazurka have their roots in Poland, the Scottish in Scotland. The music has been passed on by word of mouth or has been written down in musicians’ notebooks.Between 1940 and 1960, the ethnomusicologist Hanny Christen travelled through Switzerland and collected thousands of melodies from the period between 1800 and 1960. The musicians played or sang in front of her. Some permitted her to write off their own hand-written dance booklets in full. In 1956, Hanny Christen began to record this music with a tape recorder. It is thanks to her that over 12,000 instrumental dance movements of Switzerland and many other pieces of tradition (costumes, biographies, musical instruments etc.) were saved from being forgotten. The instruments used in traditional folk music vary depending on the type of dance and region. Flutes are more or less non-existent. The author would like to fill a gap with this publication. She has therefore adapted one folk dance per canton from the Hanny Christen-collection* for two flutes. The pieces from the cantons of Basel City, Thurgau and Geneva do not come from this source, though. The melodies from the other 23 cantons are taken unchanged from the collection. The second voice was not always composed quite traditional. The melody follows - if possible - a contrapuntal melody of its own and is directed to the flute (difficulty grade 3 +).The editor, Helene Schulthess, is a flutist with a wide repertoire. She lives in Switzerland. She performs as a soloist, makes chamber music and is active as a music teacher. She is involved in various musical projects (www.helene-schulthess.ch).* Swiss Folk Music Collection. The dance music of Switzerland of the 19th and first half of the 20th century. From the estate of Hanny Christen. Edited by Fabian Müller under the auspices of the Society for Folk Music in Switzerland (GVS/SMPS). Music print. Mülirad, Zürich 2002.

Cello,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.910914 Composed by Melanie (Mel) Bonis. Arranged by Zellev. 20th Century,Concert,Musical/Show,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score and part. 29 pages. Zellev Music #6286933. Published by Zellev Music (A0.910914). the piece is relatively unknown to the major cellist and piano front.Mélanie Hélène Bonis, known as Mel Bonis (21 January 1858 – 18 March 1937), was a prolific French late-Romantic composer. She wrote more than 300 pieces, including works for piano solo and four hands, organ pieces, chamber music, mélodies, choral music, a mass, and works for orchestra. She attended the Paris Conservatoire, where her teachers included Cesar Franck, Ernest Guiraud, and Auguste Bazille. the piece consisted of 3 movements. Moderato quasi Andante - AllegrettoTrès lentFinal. Moderato molto - Allegro con fuoco - Quasi andante - Lento - Mouvement de l'allegro - Vivo - Mouvement de l'allegro - Maestoso - Mouvement de l'allegro sans presserit was dedicated to A Maurice Demaison. A masterpiece by Mel Bonis, French female composer who isn't forgotten, she just isn't yet discovered by the wide audience. My five cents to make it happen. This is just one of more than 300 compositions from her ouevre. Originally, it is composed for violoncello and piano, but the majority of cellists seem not to care very much about its existence... and we, double bassists are missing so badly such great sonatas -Božo Paradžik

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596630 Composed by Juan MarÃa Solare. 20th Century,Instructional,Sacred. Score. 22 pages. Juan Maria Solare #6602197. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596630). Juan MarÃa Solare: On the Concept of Limit (seven piano pieces) In this work crystallises an idea that has been haunting me for some time: that the titles of the individual pieces should read like lines of a poem. 1) Up to a Certain Point 2) Nothing Gets Lost 3) Yet All Will Be Forgotten 4) At the End of the Day 5) Even the Sky Has a Limit 6) However, However 7) Only the Present Has No Limits There is a fancy order of keys in this cycle: in ascending thirds (both major and minor but without a regularity). Indirectly, this is a structural quotation of Beethoven's variations Opus 34 (only that he chose a descending order of keys). Additionally, you will find three times 4/4 time signature and three times 3/4, and one instance of 5/8 (asymmetrically arranged). 1) C major (4/4) 2) E major (3/4) 3) G minor (4/4) 4) B major (4/4) 5) D minor (5/8) 6) F minor (3/4) 7) A major (3/4) The seventh and last piece is dedicated to Martina Lindner. These pieces were composed in Bremen, Germany, in September 2021 Juan MarÃa Solare, www.JuanMariaSolare.com

Flute Duet Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1182918 By Helene Schulthess. By Helene Schulthess. Arranged by Helene Schulthess. Chamber,Contest,Festival,Folk,Patriotic,Traditional. Score. 5 pages. Helene Schulthess #782667. Published by Helene Schulthess (A0.1182918).
