This arrangement is based on the famous 1991 live version by Elton John and George Michael.
It's an accurate piano arrangement of the full song which is playable, and sounds fantastic!

"Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" was composed by Elton John to lyrics by Bernie Taupin.
Elton John recorded it for his 1974 album "Caribou", and it served as the album's lead single.
In 1991, a live version was recorded when Elton John and George Michael performed the song at the Wembley Arena in London (during George Michael's "Cover to Cover" tour).
The live recording became a massive global hit, topping both the UK Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot 100.
It was later included on several albums, including Elton John's "Love Songs" and "Greatest Hits" compilations.

This wonderful Guitar Piece, Romance, is a classic for any repertoire. PracticeThe piece lasts around 2:45 at 94 BPM. Once the triplet plucking is mastered the majority of the piece is easier to learn. It is just a case of learning the left hand shapes and incorporating where the melody goes, usually on the first or second strings. It is worth while making sure of your fingering in the intro section to make sure the scale is played well and with a clear tone. Fingering is merely suggested if you find a more comfortable/logical way for your playing style and the integrity of the piece is maintained, go for your own fingering. Don't let the fingering put you off!LevelThis piece is around Grade 4/5 level. Suitable for first instrument at Higher in Scotland and second instrument at Advanced Higher. Transposed to make it most suitable for the bass clarinet this arrangement tests the range of the bass both right down to low C# and into upper registers in the middle to give a striking contrast in tone. Composer’s Note - Happy PlaceI’m a lesbian who came-of-age/came-out in the mid 1990s, which means I caught the tail end of those lesbian stereotypes you used to hear about. It made me feel like I’d never inherited The Lesbian Gene. I was never one of the herbal tea sipping, yoga loving, hemp textiles wearing, hippie happy clappy campers of that time. I had girlfriends who were and I tried to humour them sometimes but it was always a strain.I had this one girlfriend who made me go camping once, a gathering with her hippie pagan friends. It was all inoffensive enough, I was having a very nice time sitting in the shade reading my book. Rather stupidly, I made the mistake of letting someone rope me into a thing called D​rumming The Boundary​. They thought I’d be good at it, being a professional musician. I thought it would probably please my girlfriend if I got involved, so I agreed to go along.To my surprise, the drums they’d set up were great instruments, some really top quality djembes that you’d be paying some good money for, so I made the rash assumption that the leader of this activity actually knew what she was doing. We were instructed to start drumming a h​eartbeat​ together, whereupon I discovered that these are people who couldn’t even play a plain old crotchet beat in ensemble. But they seemed to think they were playing in time, swooning and swaying and closing their eyes to ‘feel’ the music. It was starting to make me giggle. These were presumably the same lesbians I’d seen out in Sydney nightclubs who couldn’t dance in time with an electronic beat that repeatedly hits you over the head with its obviousness?! Once I’d had that thought, I couldn’t help my giggle becoming a full-blown guffaw. The dreadlocked hempy lady in charge glared at me, telling me I needed to relax into really f​eeling the heartbeat. ​Could she not see that it was because my whole body was shaking with hysterical laughter at their arhythmic playing? Honestly...I guess I just really don’t like hippies. There, I said it out loud. I tried, I tried really hard, but I just prefer my city life. It’s my ​Happy Place.​-- Sally Whitwell

It was written for the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz and was sung by actress Judy Garland. Arlen would often carry blank pieces of music manuscript in his pockets to jot down short melodic ideas. He described how the inspiration for the melody to Over the Rainbow came to him suddenly while his wife Anya drove: I said to Mrs. Arlen... 'let's go to Grauman's Chinese ... You drive the car, I don't feel too well right now.' I wasn't thinking of work. I wasn't consciously thinking of work, I just wanted to relax. And as we drove by Schwab's Drug Store on Sunset I said, 'Pull over, please.' ... And we stopped and I really don't know why—bless the muses—and I took out my little bit of manuscript and put down what you know now as 'Over the Rainbow.'.
