The Bordogni vocalises have been used by generations of low brass performers to learn legato technique, phrasing, endurance, bel canto style, expression, and breath control. They sound beautiful and are fun to play!

Ran Whitley has beautifully arranged another ten of the Melodious Etudes, numbers 41-50 for Trombone Quartet. All in bass clef, these are appropriate for intermediate to advanced performers. The entire melody line is in part 1 with parts 2, 3, and 4 accompanying.

Ran Whitley has compiled and beautifully arranged Twelve Hymn Preludes and Offertories for 4-part Brass Ensemble. They are playable by most performers of intermediate level and higher. Each piece is a complete arrangement on its own. The entire collection of twelve hymns contains almost 30 minutes of music of glorious Christian music appropriate for many different occasions.

Instrumentation for the quartet is for 2 Trumpets in B-flat and two Trombones. There are 4 substitute parts for parts 2 and 3 in B-flat treble and for F Horn, plus a Tuba part 8ba on the 4th part. You can perform these works with a mass brass ensemble very successfully.

This inspirational hit by Josh Groban makes a stirring selection for a program, and its unmistakable melody is easily recognized by audiences. Written for brass quintet, it features the trombone as a solo instrument. Add a player on the optional drum set part to maximize the breathless effect of the climax of this emotional ballad! If you don't have a french horn, substitute parts are included for baritone t.c. and euphonium. The song comes in at around 4:28 in length.
