I built from the original by adding extra lyrics and changing up the melody slightly to the end of each verse. The lyrics are from We Three Kings, Silent Night and What Child is This. Each additional lyric ties into the verses of the song and adds an extension to the verse. This version has the verses broken up between the voices until the last verse. This is for String quartet and piano. Here is a flowing instrumental trio arrangement (for VIOLIN and CELLO duet with PIANO accompaniment) of a beautiful hymn from the early 1900's titled My Savior's Love by Charles H. Gabriel (also known by the title I Stand Amazed in the Presence). Both the VIOLIN and CELLO get to lead with the melody at times making this a fun and equally challenging piece for both instruments while adding variety for the listeners. The song begins in the key of G major for the first verse, then transitions during the piano interlude to the key of C major for the second verse.The range for each part is as follows: VIOLIN ~ E4 to B5; CELLO ~ B2 to D4. All notes for both the VIOLIN and CELLO are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. The PIANO accompaniment is written for an intermediate player. The song begins in the key of G major for the first verse, then transitions during the piano interlude to the key of C major for the second verse.Though notated with FLUTE on part 1 and VIOLIN on part 2, the ranges are also accessible for other combinations of C instruments such as 2 VIOLINS or 2 FLUTES.
