Choral Choir (SAB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.909694 Composed by D. Kim Clayton. A Cappella,Children,World. Octavo. 6 pages. HarmonyPlus Publications #4364536. Published by HarmonyPlus Publications (A0.909694). SSA/SAB - A Cappella music at it's best! An original A Cappella song for young voices that I personally have used for my choirs! It works wonders. This A Cappella arrangement creates a setting where young voices can begin the processes of learning how to sing A Cappella in a beautiful way. If your choir revels in the A Cappella music, this piece is perfect for you! This song and arrangement is for young voices. The available recording we have placed on this site does NOT come from a live performance or in the studio. This is a teaching track. It's not perfect...but we think you will feel the wonderful spirit this song brings. Also available is The HarmonyPlus Trax CD that is a teaching CD. The CD includes: Full version (all parts), Part I, Part II, Part III (SSA/SAB). Perfect for all members of the choir to learn his/her individual parts. Duration: 1:27.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.891205 Composed by Traditional Irish. Arranged by Laurie Betts Hughes. Contemporary,Folk,World. Octavo. 26 pages. Dandelion Music Press #3104495. Published by Dandelion Music Press (A0.891205). The first of three movements, here is a great opportunity to collaborate with a children's or youth choir and Irish instrumentalists, or to freely substitute any treble solo and Western instrumental equivalent.Included in Project : Encore 2017Lost Songs of Ancient Ireland, for Mixed Choir with Treble Descant, Piano or Harp, Bodhran, Irish Flute, and Violin, is a three-movement song cycle that focuses on the shifting relationships over the scope of a lifetime from the differing perspective of each person involved. I. Old Beggarman- Two interwoven jigs, It Was an Old Beggarman, Weary and Wet and Ag an mBóithrÃn Buà (At the Yellow Little Road), of both a young lady's observation of a wandering beggarman and his unrequited, possibly unexpressed, love for her. They are offered together as alternate perspectives from potential romantic partners, and features lilting, mouth music, or portaireacht bhéil (port a'bhéil, mouth-singing) as it is known in Irish Gaelic.II. I Would Rock My Child to Sleep- A sentimental Irish lullaby Irish lullaby Do Chuirfinnse Féin Mo Leanbh a Chodladh (I Would Put My Own Child to Sleep) highlights the shifting roles of a caregiver: the parent full of hopes of the parent for the child morphing over a lifetime into a blessing from the grown child to the aged parent. Each verse is progressively based upon an overall narrative: 1. hopes of the parent for the child 2. an easy, natural rhythm to family life, possibly the child is older now, and there is a dream of family continuance 3. uncertainty over who is nurturing who: does the child now sing to comfort the parent? 4. a closing blessing for peace and rest that hearkens back to the successful sleep of a tired infant III. The Drummer- An energetic reel, a combination of Maidin Fhómhair, nó CailÃn Péacach (The Harvest Maiden, or Sprouting Maiden) and Cormac Spáinneach, nó An Drumadóir (Cormac Spaineach, or The Drummer), alternating between romantic partners encased by a nostalgic love song, suggesting the passing of a lifetime.Commissioned by Cora Voce; Tacoma, WASet of three and single movements available for purchase.2017 Choral Contest EntryLaurie Betts Hughes, ASCAP | www.LaurieBettsHughes.com

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1475302 By Shaboozey. By Chibueze Collins Obinna, Collins Obinna Chibueze, Jerrell Jones, Joe Anthony Kent, Mark Allen Williams, Nevin Sastry, and Sean Cook. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Country,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 7 pages. B. McCormick #1052845. Published by B. McCormick (A0.1475302). “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” Piano/Vocal/Guitar Arrangement About the Song and Artist: “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is a lively, feel-good track by Shaboozey. With its catchy melody and playful lyrics, it captures the carefree spirit of a night out with friends. Shaboozey’s blend of acoustic guitar, vocals, and infectious rhythm makes this song a crowd favorite. Key Features: Vocal Clarity and Chord Symbols: The vocal line is clearly notated, allowing singers to express the playful lyrics. Above, you’ll find simplified chord symbols for guitarists to strum along. Harmonic Simplicity: The song’s heart lies in its four recurring chords. We’ve captured that simplicity, making it accessible for beginners and seasoned players alike. Rhythmic Feel: The arrangement mirrors the guitar’s rhythmic vibe, emphasizing the left-hand bass part. Harmonic rhythm variations between sections add interest and progression. Violin/Fiddle Melody: The piano part weaves in the captivating violin/fiddle melody from the recording, elevating the overall experience. Difficulty Levels: Guitarists: Beginner-friendly, with the challenge of an F#m barre chord. Simplify further by using a regular E chord or employing a capo (we also have lead sheeat with a Guitar Chord Sheet you can also purchase). Vocalists: The melody’s modest range suits most voices. Transposition may be necessary for specific vocal registers. Pianists: Intermediate level—simple yet engaging accompaniment. Not recommended for absolute beginners. Who is this for? 1. Musicians and Singers: Solo Performers: Singer-songwriters, acoustic guitarists, and pianists looking for an engaging piece to perform. Small Ensembles: Duos or trios (vocals, guitar, and piano) seeking a fun addition to their repertoire. Educators and Students: Music Teachers: Ideal for teaching chord progressions, rhythm, and vocal expression. Classroom Settings: Suitable for music classes, workshops, or school performances. Content Creators: YouTube Channels: Musicians sharing covers or tutorials. Podcasts: Add a musical interlude or theme. Where you can use this: Open Mic Nights at Cafés or Bars: Perform “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” in an intimate setting, capturing the song’s laid-back vibe. Engage with the audience and encourage sing-alongs. Music Schools and Workshops: Use this arrangement as a teaching tool for chord transitions, strumming patterns, and vocal dynamics. Discuss the song’s structure and how it reflects the carefree spirit of a night out. House Concerts and Gatherings: Host a cozy gathering with friends and family. Invite a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist to collaborate on this arrangement. Online Platforms: Share a video performance on YouTube or social media. “Raise your glass to ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’! Piano Sonata No. 1 Movement 3 "Reflection of Passing"
Piano, Voix
Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1025435 Composed by Samuel W…
(+)
Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1025435 Composed by Samuel Warren Hatch. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jazz. Score. 9 pages. Samuel Warren Hatch #4764165. Published by Samuel Warren Hatch (A0.1025435). Piano Sonata No. 1 in E Major is the first series of concert piano works by S. Warren Hatch, written during his undergraduate study at Campbell University. Each movement is distinct, in that each of them is composed in a different form, utilizes different key changes and scales, and takes influence from a different period in classical music. While there is no theme that connects them to one another, they are all in the key of E Major and consist mostly of a waltz-like feeling. III. A Reflection of Passing depicts the shifting aspects about death as a person matures. It’s a piece that came from a time of great loss and much grieving. It begins with an innocent, hopeful understanding of death, followed by a major tone shift, where there is an odd utilization of the piano: the performer sings into the piano while holding down the sustain pedal, which vibrates certain overtones, producing what sounds like a distant choir. The piece closes with a triumphant, hopeful melody, borrowed from a song written by S. Warren Hatch when he was in high school.Composer Notes- Be sure to ensure that the stage hands lift the piano lid before the sonata’s start, as the strings will need to be exposed in order for you to sing into the piano’s body during A Reflection of Passing. For that section (page 22) you will need to face and sing directly into the strings while holding down the sustain pedal for the entire page. If you are playing with the sheet music (don’t worry, I’m not shaming you) simply slide the music holder in order to expose the part of the strings that are closest to you. For this sonata, I encourage you to find your own voice in these pieces. Your own interpretation should align with how you most relate to the message/story they’re telling. This could be using the una corda (leftmost) pedal during lighter sections to further differentiate them, or having a heavier rubato to strengthen the impact of certain phrases. As long as you bring these pieces to life, then it has my stamp of approval.

Movement four of four Cowboy Songs of the American SouthwestThis fun-to sing TTBB a cappella concert arrangement set of regional folksongs are evocative of barbershop, concert, and a cappella styles and utilize some fun extended techniques in the second movement. Also appropriate for a versatile barbershop or men's quartet, upper HS level or above. These four cowboy songs that make up the song cycle Cowboy Songs of the American Southwest are among the nearly 3,000 field recordings recorded in the U.S. Southwest, Mexico and Spain collected by John Donald Robb over 40 year while at the University of New Mexico. These recordings preserve many of the musical traditions of these areas, especially New Mexico and Southern Colorado, and include Native American, Hispano, Mexican and African American music, as well as railroad and cowboy songs, fiddle music and the music of festivals and fiestas.I. Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) #891073. Published by Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) (A0.1301445). I Write the Songs is a popular song written by Bruce Johnston in 1975 and released on his album Going Public in 1977. Barry Manilow's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976[2] after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975.[3] It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977.[3] Billboard ranked it as the No. 13 song of 1976.[4]The original version was recorded by Captain & Tennille, who worked with Johnston in the early 1970s with the Beach Boys. It appears on their 1975 album Love Will Keep Us Together. The first release of I Write the Songs as a single was by teen idol David Cassidy from his 1975 solo album The Higher They Climb, which was also produced by Johnston. Cassidy's version reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart in August of that year.[5]Johnston has stated that, for him, the I in the song is God,[2] and that songs come from the spirit of creativity in everyone. He has said that the song is not about his Beach Boys bandmate Brian Wilson.[6]Manilow was initially reluctant to record the song, stating in his autobiography Sweet Life: The problem with the song was that if you didn't listen carefully to the lyric, you would think that the singer was singing about himself. It could be misinterpreted as a monumental ego trip.[3] After persuasion by Clive Davis, then president of Arista Records, Manilow recorded the song, and his version of I Write the Songs was the first single taken from the album Tryin' to Get the Feeling. It first charted on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 1975, reaching the top of the chart nine weeks later, on January 17, 1976. Cash Box said of Manilow's version Good work Barry describing the song as melodic, ballad-like beginning grows into an operatic crescendo, all done in clear production that all age groups will appreciate.[7] Record World called it an uplifting production number and perhaps [Manilow's] strongest offering since 'Mandy.' Published by Carol Troutman Wiggins (A0.727685). OVER THE OCEAN, UNDER THE SEA was written to celebrate God’s creation. The music appeals to the imagination of the elementary child who loves going to the beach, looking for seashells, watching playful dolphins jump in and out of the waves, and dreaming that a mermaid will actually appear! This book includes songs about going to the beach, wearing flip flops, seashells, seals, mermaids, mighty sailing ships and a pop-eyed pirate! As a part of the Instant Concert Series, the songs are easy to teach and easy to learn, and most can be learned during one class period. A quick Spring concert can be planned by using any of these songs. Percussion instruments, Wood blocks, two-tone blocks, triangles, slide whistles, and body movements were added to help bring the ocean to life! Most of the work has been done to make the teacher’s job a little easier. I sincerely hope you – the teacher – enjoy teaching these songs and my wish is that the children to have fun singing about the sea!Piano Accompaniment Track available on this site.

Published by Chris Osborn Music (A0.886403). Frank Loesser's Academy Award winning Baby It's Cold Outside is a Christmas Classic but started life as a party piece for Loesser and his wife to sing at at celebrity parties. It has been covered by dozens of singers, including Zooey Deschanel and Leon Redbone for the 2003 film Elf. However, this version is based on Tom Jones & Cerys Matthews' recording from his 1998 album Reload. During the 1940s, when Hollywood celebrities attended parties, they were expected to perform. In 1944, Frank Loesser wrote Baby, It's Cold Outside for his wife, Lynn Garland, and himself to sing at a housewarming party in New York City at the Navarro Hotel. They sang the song to indicate to guests that it was time to leave. The song was an instant success and according to his wife We become instant parlor room stars. We got invited to all the best parties for years on the basis of 'Baby.' It was our ticket to caviar and truffles. Parties were built around our being the closing act. The song started to reach a wider audience when in 1948, after years of performing the song, Loesser sold it to MGM for the 1949 romantic comedy Neptune's Daughter. In the film, Baby, It's Cold Outside was sung by Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalbán, then by Betty Garrett and Red Skelton, who reversed the roles. The song won the Academy Award.

Manilow's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976[2] after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975.[3] It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977.[3] Billboard ranked it as the No. 13 song of 1976.[4]The original version was recorded by The Captain & Tennille, who worked with Johnston in the early 1970s with The Beach Boys. It appears on their 1975 album, Love Will Keep Us Together. The first release of I Write the Songs as a single was by then teen-idol David Cassidy from his 1975 solo album The Higher They Climb, which was also produced by Bruce Johnston. Cassidy's version reached #11 on the UK Singles Chart in August of that year.[5]Johnston has stated that, for him, the I in the song is God,[2] and that songs come from the spirit of creativity in all of us. Wikipedia
