Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927974 Composed by Malcolm D Robertson. Contemporary. Score and parts. 115 pages. Mr Malcolm D Robertson #4756833. Published by Mr Malcolm D Robertson (A0.927974). The Symphony No 1, my first large scale work in symphonic form was composed directly into full score May-July 2019. It is in three movements: The Symphony is broadly tonal though modern in style.I Hymn - a broad expansive opening movementII Nocturne - a dark disturbed movement that inhabits the world of dreamsIII Passacaglia - which gradually drives itself towards an affirmative conclusion, only to sidestep to end in peaceful unease. The Symphony is a challenging work for the performers. Parts are available upon request.

String Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549863 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Concert,Instructional,Standards,World. Score and parts. 52 pages. Jmsgu3 #3557749. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549863). Beethoven Sonata Op. 49 No. 2 arranged for string orchestra. Duration: 10:15 Score: 28 pages, 242 measures. In two movements. I arranged this for my own beginner orchestra. Easy to rehearse and perform. Very popular with the audience. Sonata Op. 49 No. 2 Arranged from Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 20, this is a simple but interesting work in two movements showing the composers sense of humor. The first movement Allegro ma non troppo and the second movement Tempo di Menuetto are both in the key of G. Both Sonatas 19 and 20 (op. 49, No. 1 & 2) are named Easy Sonatas because they are technically easier than the usual Beethoven Sonatas. This makes them very popular among students and teachers alike. Beethoven Background Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 –1827) was certainly a German pianist. Above all, he was probably one of the greatest composers in history. As a result, he is a pivotal character in the progress between the Classical and Romantic periods. He is certainly one of the most famous and hence important of all composers. Seems like his most familiar and noteworthy works include symphonies 1-9; piano concertos 1-5; and furthermore, the violin concerto. Also, certainly of extreme importance are the noteworthy 32 sonatas for the piano; the string quartets 1-16; the Missa solemnis; and likewise, his only opera, Fidelio. Beethoven Overview First of all, Beethoven was born and consequently raised in Bonn. Upon turning 21 he moved to Vienna probably to study composition with Haydn. That’s when he consequently grew a reputation as a brilliant pianist. Furthermore, he probably stayed in Vienna the rest of his life. In his late 20s it seems like his hearing certainly began to decline. It slowly declined until consequently he was nearly totally deaf probably by the last decade of his life. As a result, he stopped conducting and performing. Nevertheless, he continued to compose. As a result, some of his greatest works probably come from this period. First Period Seems like we often divide Beethoven’s life into three periods. Period 1 begins with Beethoven’s arrival in Vienna. Hence, during this period, he mastered the Viennese style of Haydn & Mozart. He consequently began increasing the size and scale of his works. Furthermore, he experimented with extreme dynamics, and likewise extreme tempi. He worked similarly with chromatic harmony. His First and Second Symphonies therefore belong to this period. Other important works also belong here: the first six string quartets and the Sonata Pathétique, Op. 13. Second Period His second period probably began as soon as he realized that he was going deaf. During this period, it seems like he became obsessed with the idea of heroism. His works consequently become even larger and more massive. The most noteworthy of these include the symphonies 3 – 8, piano concertos 5& 6, 5 string quartets, several important piano sonatas (Waldstein and Appassionata), the Kreutzer violin sonata, the violin concerto and his only opera: Fidelio. Third Period In contrast, Beethoven's third period is branded above all by works of incredible intellectual depth, formal innovation, and penetrating expression. It seems like he continued to expand his works. Consequently, the string quartet Op. 131 spills over into seven connected movements. Likewise, in the Ninth Symphony he adds choral forces to his orchestra probably for the first time in history. Even more, other works from this period include his Missa solemnis, the final 5 string quartets (including the enormous Große Fuge) and the final five sonatas for piano. www.jamesguthrie.com.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.521481 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Sherry Lewis. Classical,Holiday,Multicultural,Wedding,World. Score and Parts. 32 pages. Sherry Lewis Publishing #6132891. Published by Sherry Lewis Publishing (A0.521481). Symphony No. 5, Mov. I, Allegro con brio (abridged), Beethoven, String Orchestra of 2 violins, viola, cello, string bassThis was a very fun project and I think I caught the important parts and did a fairly seamless cut so that the performance is down to 5'30...I hope you like it. I think it came off really well. Score: 15 pages parts: 14 pages time: 5:30 MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through stringquartet@hotmail.com and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups. AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations. ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles. Thank you for your purchase!

Published by James Nathaniel Holland (A0.730486). FULL SCORE only, Individual instrument parts sold separately. Haitian voodoo rhythms, and gods Damballa Wedo, Papa Legba, Ezulie, Baron Zamdi the Gede are brought to the orchestral concert stage in this second symphony of American composer James Nathaniel Holland, who served for a while in Haiti in the US Peace Corps in the 1990s. The symphony for large orchestra is divided into three movements. It begins with a rousing invocation which melts into a sensitive section, sympathetic of the human condition and of the Republic of the Caribbean island of Haiti. The second movement, actually three sections, is very a very African sounding fugue that changes into a contraposition of the quiet, mysterious Minwet and the European French Minuet, and ends with an almost church joyous, dance of complex percussion, call and response. The last movement incorporates multimedia of the beauty of spoken Kreyol language: stating that we, ourselves, are the gods expressed in the Haitian folk dances. And ends with an energetic Haitian carnival section. Great, varied and different, showpiece for any symphony orchestral concert with overtones of jazz and Afro Carib music. Beethoven Sonata Op. 49 No. 2 arranged for flute quartet. Duration: ca: 10:15 Score: 30 pages, 242 measures. In two movements. A great recital piece to demonstrate nuances of the flute quartet.<br> <br> Sonata Op. 49 No. 2<br> Arranged from Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 20, this isa simple but interesting work in two movements showing the composers sense ofhumor. The first movement “Allegro ma non troppo” and the second movement“Tempo di Menuetto” are both in the key of G. Both Sonatas 19 and 20 (op. 49,No. 1 & 2) are named “Easy Sonatas” because they are technically easierthan the usual Beethoven Sonatas. This makes them very popular among studentsand teachers alike.<br> <br> BeethovenBackground<br> Ludwig vanBeethoven (1770 –1827) was certainly a German pianist. Period 1 begins with Beethoven’s arrivalin Vienna. Hence, during this period, he mastered the Viennese style of Haydn& Mozart. He consequently began increasing the size and scale of his works.Furthermore, he experimented with extreme dynamics, and likewise extreme tempi. He worked similarly with chromatic harmony. His First and Second Symphoniestherefore belong to this period. Other important works also belong here: the firstsix string quartets and the Sonata Pathétique, Op. 13.<br> <br> Second Period<br> His second period probably began assoon as he realized that he was going deaf. SCORE @ Amazon ï¼?https://amzn.to/34qCMdz The Symphonic Concert No.2, is Huangâ??s second serial symphonic work in a large form. ----- The first part, Op.47a, is The Symphonic Overture No. 2, the second part, Op.47b, is the Violin Concerto in B in three movements. They are all published by Amazon. And the third part, Op.47c, is this Symphony in A flat major 'Phoenix' in 5 movements [62 minutes] The first two parts of the Symphonic Concert No.2 were premiered in Beijing by the China Youth Symphony Orchestra in 1997. However, the composing of the third part has been delayed. The reason is the author's Chinese heart: for thousands of years, the word deep disaster has been following this nation, but, however, the Chinese finally rise in the east of the world from the deadly dark. How can the composer present this symphony in the most appropriate form, and bring blessings to the world? Until the idea of Phoenix sigh inspired the author's rolling music. As a result, the structure of the entire symphony is: a total of five movements, the order is: 1.-ESSENCE ç²¾ Andante con molto 2.-SPIRIT æ°? Allegro assai 3.-DIVINITY ç¥? Larghetto 4.-PEACE å?? Vivo 5.-REVIVAL è?¾é£? Allegro assai con brio The fifth movement of this symphony, Revival, is the end of the entire Symphonic Concert No. 2. Its Phoenixâ??s Flame of Fire symbolizes the composer's powerful belief in the whole composition: Defeat death to obtain the eternal life. This point has a distinct manifestation in this final movement: from the beginning of the world turmoil to the evolution of the huge contrast of the brilliant chorus of the Phoenix; from the disaster making the Phoenix smashes into the fire of hell from the high heaven; its shocking description of self-immolation to the sound of the resurrection and the vitality of the folk instruments which simulate the voice of life from afar; and from the brilliant fire of the phoenix soars to the sky with roar of the organ at the end. The themes of all of the previous music are also interrelated. All of the players join the forces to create the powerful music that The Chinese symphony has never been sounded like this before, and it is all about achieving a brilliant future, the critic said in Peopleâ??s Music, the major music magazine in China, 2009.

Just as Mr. Lu has said: No matter whether you climb to the top of the mountain or not, we are all embraced by it. It is true that we admire it not only for its great majesty and steep scenery, but, more importantly, for the spiritual meaning behind it, from which we learn humility. When visiting the mountain, the composer was moved to be lost and speechless, and soon reminded of the poem by the poet Kuei-Shien Lee, The Invisible Temple, as follows: I stand high, having no fear of seeing very far. It is blurry far away from here, and nothing can’t be seen. I insist on coldness, silencing the world in my inner rock strata. I am independent of the uproarious world of mortals. Those who are frantic come here, the invisible temple. Still frantic, they return to the world, without appreciating anything. With Lee’s consent, the title of the poem was applied to this work, to represent the composer’s feelings of visiting the Yu-shan Mountain. In this work, several songs from the aboriginal Tsou and Bunun tribes are adopted for the large male chorus and orchestra. It comprises three parts: 1. The talk in the night staying at the Inn Paiyun, 2. The Sunrise, and 3. The Worship, which are to be performed attacca (without pause or interruption). P.S. 1. The work was commissioned by Chew’s Culture Foundation, and was composed in 2005-2006. In December 2007, it was premiered by Chun-Chiang Chiu conducting the Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra and the Taipei Philharmonic Chorus at the Kaohsiung City Cultural Center and the National Concert Hall in Taipei, respectively. 2. The source of the folk melodies of Tsou and Bunun tribes is from the CD released by the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan and.

Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553822). Masques et bergamasques, Op. 112, is an orchestral suite by Gabriel Fauré. It was arranged by the composer from incidental music he provided for a theatrical entertainment commissioned for Albert I, Prince of Monaco in 1919. The original score contained eight numbers, including two songs for tenor, and a choral passage. These numbers were not included in the published suite, which has four movements. The eight movements of the divertissement were almost all drawn from earlier works of Fauré:Ouverture (from an abandoned 1869 symphony)Pastorale (the only wholly new movement)Madrigal (Op. 35, 1884; for chorus and orchestra)Le Plus doux chemin (Op. 87, No. 1; for tenor and orchestra)Menuet (extensively reworked from the 1869 symphony)Clair de lune (Op. 46, No. 2; for tenor and orchestra)Gavotte (from the 1869 symphony)Pavane (Op. 50, 1887)The suite drawn from the work has remained one of Fauré's most popular works. It was published by Durand et cie in 1919. It is scored for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, timpani, harp and strings. The suite, which has a typical playing time of about 14 minutes, consists of four of the purely orchestral movements:OvertureMinuetGavottePastoraleIt is arranged here for double wind quintet and bass.(string bass/tuba parts provided)

Schott Music - Digital #Q3053. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q3053). ‘My Sinfonia No. 8 is not at all tragic or moody like the Seventh. It is a summer piece and is based on three moments from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream‘, writes Hans Werner Henze. This, however, is all we get to know from the composer regarding the work’s reference to Shakespeare’s comedy. On closer examination of the three-movement symphony it turns out that the first movement is a fantasia on Oberon’s order to Puck to search for the magic flower. In the second movement, Henze apparently set the love scenes between Titania and Bottom to music. Ultimately, the final movement shines gracefully and peacefully as if everything that had happened before had only been a dream. - Hans Werner Henze2 (1. auch Picc., 2. auch Picc. u.
