Published by Alejandro Goldenberg (A0.1025538). The main idea was to write a music material with a study structure that allowed it to be performed by two players, but also by only one. This characteristic inspired the name of the studies, as I imagined each part of the duet as a dimension, and the whole of it, the union of both, as the third dimension. This score include the two guitars version and the one guitar version.Moreover with the Three-Dimensional, I searched for a diversity of composition styles, starting by the music of our American Continent and reflecting some of its traces.Thus sometimes in an explicit way, others only suggesting, River Plate, Brazilian, Caribbean and North American atmospheres are present. It is basically an integrating music, and because of its construction it asks the performer to improvise, compose and do whatever he likes with it.

This book has been prepared for the purpose of doing self-accompanied music reading (solfeggio) practice. For this, 70 pieces were designed; with these pieces, it is aimed to develop multi-layered thinking and hearing elements in music. The four parts in the book, which are sorted according to the level of difficulty, are written on a single string, the notes with the stems downwards are accompanied by the notes, and the ones that upwards belong to the reading party. The accompaniment of the pieces is sometimes considered as a single sound, chord, or rhythmic structure, and sometimes as a combination of these structures. The accompaniment, which comes as a rhythmic structure in the 2nd and 4th chapters, is written with rhythmic notation on a separate staff.The accompaniments of the pieces in the first part can be played with instruments such as the piano or guitar, where two or three voices can be played at the same time and music can be played while performing, while the accompaniments are designed only as a rhythm for the parts in the second part can be played by hitting them with the hand or another instrument.The pieces in the third part were written in a way that the upper part can be read when the lower part is played and the lower part is read when the upper part is played, considering the translatable counterpoint technique, thus 4 working ways are derived from one piece. The monophonic accompaniments of the pieces in this section can also be played with instruments that can be read while playing.The fourth chapter of the book contains pieces that combine the understanding of the first two chapters, which can be called advanced when compared to the other chapters.The pieces in the book were read many times with students from different age groups at different levels, and their interpretations contributed to the shaping of the pieces. It is thought that the book, which includes studies that can help with simultaneous melody/rhythm hearing, reading scores, or rhythmic analysis, will contribute to the development of multi-layered thinking and hearing in music by making accompanying music reading studies on its own, and this is a basic requirement for every musician.

This piece is for B Flat Clarinet, Horn in F and Piano. The work was selected by Access Contemporary Music to be performed in a Chicago reading session by members of the contemporary music ensemble Anaphora and broadcast over the internet in February 2012. This atonal work utilizing tone rows has a total duration of 9 minute. Â The title makes reference to both the dodecaphonic movement in music from the early 20th Century and my immigrant family's immigration to the United States during the very early part of the 20th Century.This serial piece was composed using 10 tone rows. Each instrument was assigned a separate tone row. Rows 1 - 3 comprise first section. Rows 4 - 6 comprise the second section beginning at measure 20. Rows 7 - 9 comprise the third section beginning at measure 41 and Rows 3, 6 & 10 comprise the final section beginning at measure 100. The algorithm used proper names with letters outside the 7 letter musical alphabet being converted using the numbers 1 - 7 in a recurring fashion. Musical letters were first considered natural with duplications in any particular tone row first lowered then raised. Any additional duplication was returned to the natural form. Octaves are considered the same as unison. There were no enharmonic accommodations made to the tone rows. ASCAP.

Colores de un otoño incipiente -- Colors of an incipient autumn seven somewhat abstract pieces for piano Recording of Colores de un otoño incipiente - piano in several platforms Colores de un otoño incipiente -- on Spotify In this work, an idea that has haunted me for a long time crystallizes: that the titles of the individual pieces are read like lines of a poem. Colores de un otoño incipiente Declina el dÃa. Cobriza de hojarasca, la tierra aguarda. Inocencia Apergaminada por las largas vigilias. Frugal ante la desmesura, Se resignó a lo inconcluso Y dejó un hueco de luz en esta nada. Colors of an incipient autumn The day declines. Coppery with old leaves, the earth awaits. Innocence Parched by the long vigils. Frugal in the face of excess, He resigned himself to the unfinished And he left a hole of light in this nothingness. Such a poem alludes without great subtlety to decadence and aging. The title Apergaminada por las largas vigilias is taken from a poem by Pedro Lastra. Y dejó un hueco de luz en esta nada comes from a micropoem attributed to Alejandro Güerri, written in memory of Javier Adúriz. This seventh piece, transparent and delicate, pictures a being definitively transformed into light. The idea of desmesura (excess) arises from the prologue by Javier Adúriz to his book Solos de conciencia (1985): Faced with the excess of death, consciousness perceives the weakness of its willful affirmation, the one for which it feels itself unique and safe from all decrepitude. Adúriz was one of the fundamental figures in my artistic training. And apparently he still is. Musically, this cycle of works abounds in harmony of chords by fourths in a minimalist neoclassical aesthetic. The way of working texturally with the piano as an instrument - my instrument - highlights the pedal, the resonances, the third dimension of sound. These seven somewhat abstract pieces were composed at the end of 2019 in and around Bremen, in several cases with my new-born daughter Laura in my arms, trying to put her at to sleep and staying asleep. This explains the cautious nature of the music and its prudent dynamics that never reach a mezzoforte. There were several unsuccessful attempts to release this recording (initially planned for September 2020, at the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere). Finally, the album will be released (on Spotify and other streaming platforms) on 22 April 2022, coinciding with what would be my father's 103rd birthday. It is also autumn but in the southern hemisphere. Recorded on a Steinway B grand piano (serial number: 568208) at the Musikschule Bremen (Germany) with two Neumann KM-184 microphones. Recording and mastering technician: Alexander Derben. Blaze Scheuerman #651898. Published by Blaze Scheuerman (A0.1047340). An Evening Meal with Royalty 1st Movement is a comic depiction of a royal family that can’t get along. It presents majestic yet one dimensional characters trying to have dinner together. It is inspired by Claude Debussy’s Piano Trio in G Major, third movement. It starts at a palace with a seemingly dramatic royal family getting together for dinner. The problem is that everyone keeps interrupting each other, trying to also assert their dominance. This goes on for sometime until at measure 46, when the sun begins to set in the distance. The royal family is entranced by its beauty and all stop arguing in order to just take it in. Things seem to be alright until measure 73. As soon as the sun sets they all return to their old ways, continually escalating the conversation until it explodes with tension.

Randolph Hall (A0.483391). This is a result of the inspiration from M.C. Escher's 1951 work by the same name. The concepts of relatvity, repetition and inter-dimensionality are addressed in a quasi-minimalist style in this famous art work. The interval of thirds creats the image of the wentelteefje (Escher's fictitious creatures) going up and down stairs at all angles. In section F, the wentelteefje curl up and roll away, after their climbing of stairs. Vox 1 & 2 are mirrors of each other and simulate sine waves (red) except for the bridge material before each section. Likewise, for Vox 3 & 4 (blue), mirror and simulate cosine waves. Vox 5& 6 mirror and are my best attempt to simulate tangents. Vox 7 provides a bass and backdrop for the scene.

It is fascinating how the famous Hungarian composer skilfully superimposes rhythms which, with shifted accents and different speeds, create a third dimension of hearing, like an optical illusion. The breathtaking whirling of the keys in 'Desordre', the first of 18 etudes for piano altogether, is a sign of Ligeti's enthusiasm for Central African music which later was to become so important to him.
