Choral Choir (SA) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.873031 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Contemporary,Standards. Octavo. 7 pages. Sally Whitwell #3869011. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.873031). Composer’s Note - Treasure ChestI was commissioned by the Canberra International Music Festival in 2016 to write a work for children’s chorus. The concert was a Mothers’ Day event, sponsored by a couple of local boutique chocolatiers, so the works on the program were all chocolate and coffee themed, including J S Bach’s Coffee Cantata and a bunch of songs from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The festival’s Artistic Director Roland Peelman asked me if I could write a new piece on this theme. So I got thinking about chocolate and about Mothers’ Day and about how when you’re a little kid and have no earnings, you still give your mum a present for her special day (that is, your dad pays for it and you sign the card!). And if it’s chocolate, you might give her your favourite chocolate instead of hers, and all you are really waiting for is for her to offer you one. When I was a child, I always used to think of chocolate boxes as treasure chests, full of shining precious things only consumed on very special occasions. Because they were such a rarity, you really had to savour each sweet taste and gooey texture. I ’m sure from this song, you’ll be able to tell that I am a big sweet tooth!-- Sally Whitwell

I’m Gonna Sing When the Spirit Says Sing for 8-note Bells and Boomwhackers® (with Color Coded Notes)

Small Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Multi-Percussion,Orff Instrument,Recorder,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565149 By Sharon Wilson. By Spiritual. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Folk,Instructional,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and parts. 9 pages. Sharon Wilson #3497141. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565149). This sheet music is notated for handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instrument parts on a grand staff plus a separate 1-staff score for each instrument. This set of scores uses colored noteheads corresponding to the Boomwhackers® color scheme. Handbells sold by Rhythm Band or KidsPlay also use this same color scheme (other brands may use different color schemes). Using color coded notes helps beginning musicians learn to read standard sheet music notation. This set of scores is also available (separate purchase) in black and white which will print clearer if you do not have access to a color printer.Notes used for each instrument are as follows: Bells – D E G A B C* where C* is high C, one octave above middle C  Boomwhackers® – C D E G A B C*Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, this arrangement is playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel.Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of this song. The staves are shown without sharps or flats for simplicity since even though this song is actually written in the key of G major, no sharps or flats are used. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one note to each person. Instrument assignment suggestions are provided on the last page for 7 or 13 players.Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers®* form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® (this would amplify the sound and allow more people to participate)* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, just to name a few Permission is granted to make up to 10 copies of each score. For more than 10 copies, please purchase additional sets.TThis arrangement is one of the 10 songs included in the collection Ten Traditional Spirituals for 8-Note Bells and Boomwhackers®.Boomwhackers® is a registered trademark of Rhythm Band Instruments, LLC. Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167528 Composed by Larry Williams. Contemporary,Folk,Jazz. Individual part. 80 pages. Larry Andrew Williams #767908. Published by Larry Andrew Williams (A0.1167528). A WORD FROM THE COMPOSER Is anyone interested in new reading material anymore? I know that when I was a kid in nineteen hundred and something, the quest for new musical pieces was always one of the funnest aspects of the whole musical journey. Of course I did learn that it would take a long time to  nd those few that would resonate with me for a lifetime, but it was always fun trying them all out. It still is, in fact. Well, times change and people change, but I’d still like to believe that same factor carries on. You know, the one about trying out all that music to get to the few you keep. And what about the few we do keep? For guitar players, was it always a classic from the usual suspects, like Albeniz, Sor, Tarrega,, Granados, Rodrigo, Brouwer, Barrios, Villa-Lobos, or anything by Bach? Was it something our band director or private instructor, one of our friends, or our parents wrote? Or – Heaven forbid- something that maybe we ourselves wrote? Or some “unknown guy.â€Â Consider this.Just how often did some unknown composer's piece greatly affect us as we waded through a daunting pile of the familiar from the known masters? And since some, if not most of these classics are required reading, how often did we even get around to giving this unknown guy's piece a try?And furthermore, was this unknown guy - shudder...alive? Let’s face it. In the composer arena, we the living, stand no chance against the deceased (God rest their souls) But by saying “they don’t write ‘em like that anymore,†are we denying ourselves new ground to be broken, doors to be opened, frontiers to be discovered? And isn’t that pioneering spirit just plain ol’ curiosity when it comes right down to it? Well I believe the key lies within the carrying out of these notions that curiosity places in us. It’s climbing the mountain simply because it is there. So, for right now, I’m that unknown guy and I would only urge you to break new ground every day. Lots of trends, ideas, and interests will come and go in your life, but always hang on to that curiosity. It’s what makes the world a smaller neighborhood. Larry Williams.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1270160 By Arlo Guthrie. By Arlo Guthrie. Arranged by Craig Hanson. A Cappella,Comedy,Folk. Octavo. 6 pages. Edition Craig Hanson #862589. Published by Edition Craig Hanson (A0.1270160). For TTBB chorus a cappella and solo voice. As performed by Arlo Guthrie.Wanna hear something? You know that Indians never ate clams. They didn't have linguini! And so what happened was that clams was allowed to grow unmolested in the coastal waters of America for millions of years. And they got big, and I ain't talking about clams in general, I'm talking about each clam! Individually. I mean each one was a couple of million years old or older. So imagine they could have got bigger than this whole room. And when they get that big, God gives them little feet so that they could walk around easier. And when they get feet, they get dangerous. I'm talking about real dangerous. I ain't talking about sitting under the water waiting for you. I'm talking about coming after you.Imagine being on one of them boats coming over to discover America, like Columbus or something, standing there at night on watch, everyone else is either drunk or asleep. And you're watching for America and the boat's going up and down. And you don't like it anyhow but you gotta stand there and watch, for what? Only he knows, and he ain't watching. You hear the waves lapping against the side of the ship. The moon is going behind the clouds. You hear the pitter patter of little footprints on deck. ‘Is that you kids?’ It ain't! My god! It's this humongous, giant clam!Imagine those little feet coming on deck. A clam twice the size of the ship. Feet first. You're standing there shivering with fear, you grab one of these. This is a belaying pin. They used to have these stuck in the holes all around the ship… You probably didn't know what this is for; you probably had an idea, but you were wrong. They used to have these stuck in the holes all along the sides of the ship, everywhere. You wouldn't know what this is for unless you was that guy that night.I mean, you'd grab this out of the hole, run on over there, bam bam on them little feet! Back into the ocean would go a hurt, but not defeated, humongous, giant clam. Ready to strike again when opportunity was better. You know not even the coastal villages was safe from them big clams. You know them big clams had an inland range of about 15 miles. Think of that. I mean our early pioneers and the settlers built little houses all up and down the coast you know. A little inland and stuff like that and they didn't have houses like we got now, with bathrooms and stuff. They built little privies out back. And late at night, maybe a kid would have to go, and he'd go stomping out there in the moonlight. And all they'd hear for miles around...(loud clap/belch).... One less kid for America. One more smiling, smurking, humongous, giant clam.So Americans built forts. Them forts --you know—them pictures of them forts with the wooden points all around. You probably thought them points was for Indians but that's stupid! 'Cause Indians know about doors. But clams didn't. Even if a clam knew about a door, so what? A clam couldn't fit in a door. I mean, he'd come stomping up to a fort at night, put them feet on them points, jump back crying, tears coming out of them everywhere. But Americans couldn't live in forts forever. You couldn't just build one big fort around America. How would you go to the beach? So what they did was they formed groups of people. I mean they had groups of people all up and down the coast form these little alliances. Like up North it was call the Clamshell Alliance. And farther down South it was called the Catfish Alliance. They had these Alliances all up and down the coast defending themselves against these threatening monsters. These humongous giant clams. Andt hey'd go out there, if there was maybe fifteen of them they'd be singing songs in fifteen part harmony. And when one part disappeared, that's how they knew where the clam would be.Which is why Americans only sing in four part harmony to this very day. That proved to be too dangerous. See, what they did was they'd be singing these songs called Clam Chanties, and they'd have these big spears called clampoons. And they'd be walking up and down the beach and the method they eventually devised where they'd have this guy, the most strongest heavy duty true blue American, courageous type dude they could find and they'd have him out there walking up and down the beach by himself with other chicken dudes hiding behind the sand dunes somewhere. He'd be singing the verses. They'd be singing the chorus, and clams would hear 'em. And clams hate music. So clams would come out of the water and they'd come after this one guy. And all you'd see pretty soon was flying all over the sand flying up and down the beach manmanclamclammanmanclam manclamclamman up and down the beach going this way and that way up the hills in the water out of the water behind the trees everywhere. Finally the man would jump over a big sand dune, roll over the side, the clam would come over the dune, fall in the hole and fourteen guys would come out there and stab the shit out of him with their clampoons. That's the way it was. That was one way to deal with them. The other way was to weld two clams together. [I don't believe it. I'm losing it. Hey. What can you do. Another night shot to hell.] Hey, this was serious back then. This was very serious. I mean these songs now are just piddly folk songs. But back then these songs were controversial. These was radical, almost revolutionary songs. Because times was different and clams was a threat to America. That's right. So we want to sing this song tonight about the one last... You see what they did was there was one man, he was one of these men, his name will always be remembered, his name was Reuben Clamzo, and he was one of the last great clam men there ever was. He stuck the last clam stab. The last clampoon into the last clam that was ever seen on this continent. Knowing he would be out of work in an hour. He did it anyway so that you and me could go to the beach in relative safety. That's right. Made America safe for the likes of you and me. And so we sing this song in his memory. He went into whaling like most of them guys did and he got out of that, when he died. You know, clams was much more dangerous than whales. Clams can run in the water, on the water or on the ground, and they are so big sometimes that they can jump and they can spread their kinda shells and kinda almost fly like one of them flying squirrels. You could be standing there thinking that your perfectly safe and all of a sudden whop.... That's true... And so this is the song of this guy by the name of Reuben Clamzo and the song takes place right after he stabbed this clam and the clam was, going through this kinda death dance over on the side somewhere. The song starts there and he goes into whaling and takes you through the next...I sing the part of the guy on the beach by himself. I go like this: Poor old Reuben Clamzo and you go Clamzo Boys Clamzo. That's the part of the fourteen chicken dudes over on the other side. That's what they used to sing. They'd be calling these clams out of the water. Like taunting them making fun of them. Clams would get real mad and come out. Here we go. I want you to sing it in case you ever have an occasion to join such an alliance. You know some of these alliances are still around. Still defending America against things like them clams. If you ever wants to join one, now you have some historic background. So you know where these guys are coming from. It's not just some 60's movement or something, these things go back a long time.Notice the distinction you're going to have to make now between the first and easy Clamzo Boys Clamzo and the more complicated Clamzo Me Boys Clamzo. Stay serious! Folk songs are serious. That's what Pete Seeger told me. Arlo I only want to tell you one thing... Folk songs are serious. I said right. Let's do it in C for Clam...Iet's do it in B... For boy that's a big clam... Iet' s do it in G for Gee, I hope that big clam don't see me. Let's do it in F... For …he sees me. Let's do it back in A...for a clam is coming. Better get this song done quick. The Story of Reuben Clamzo and His Strange Daughter in the Key of A.

Dandelion Music Press #3106871. Published by Dandelion Music Press (A0.891216). If you are looking to lighten your concert, to program real music, or a piece with rapid text delivery satisfying to mid-level treble choirs and treble community choirs, bring this hilarious 3 minute piece to your outstanding accompanist-pianist and your developing ensemble. Debuted for choir during an educational outreach concert for children with families, Mozart's At the Window is also an effective selection or encore for a Mozart concert, or standing on its own. Piece features lots of vocal doubling and is fully supported by a pianistic reduction-- this piece shines with an amazing accompanist. The choral arranger writes: After getting absolutely sick of the inane music I'd been playing for my young children in the car, I was elated to discover Gunnar Madsen's CD I'm Growing featuring Mozart's At the Window. The kids were delighted with this funny song about some naughty kid, and my husband and I were delighted with the enormous improvement of musical quality in our vehicle. It was shortly thereafter that this choral arrangement was born.Gunnar writes: In my first music theory class in college, the teacher and the students were recalling the silly ways they'd been taught to remember classical melodies when they were young. One of them was for Mozart's 40th symphony (which I'd never heard) which consisted of Now Mozart's at the window - Let him in, Let him in, Let him in. What an ear-worm! For 25 years now I've dreamt of expanding that ditty into something more substantial, and now I'm proud to present the finished piece. By John Powell. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. 20th Century,Celtic,Film/TV,Folk,Irish. Brass Band. 79 pages. RBMusic #795900. Published by RBMusic (A0.1196739). Test Drive is from the soundtrack to the 2010 computer-animated action fantasy film How to Train Your Dragon, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. It follows the story of Hiccup and Toothless as they form an unlikely friendship, against the backdrop of the Viking village of Berk, where the other villagers attempt to kill dragons when they attack. The music is composed by John Powell. Whilst this was his sixth collaboration with DreamWorks Animation, it was the first where he was the sole composer (having worked with other composers such as Harry Gregson-Williams and Hans Zimmer prior to this). In an interview with The Wasp, Powell said that the directors wanted “size and depth and emotionâ€, wanting “a feeling of the Nordic musical past.†This led him to the music of Nielsen, Grieg and, in particular, Sibelius. “Sibelius was the key. I studied a lot of Sibelius as a kid, and I've always adored his music.†He continues, “we looked at all the folk music from the Nordic areas. And I'm part Scottish and grew up with a lot of Scottish folk music, so that came into it a lot. And Celtic music was something that Jeffrey [Katzenberg] felt had this very attractive quality to it, and a sweetness, that he thought would be wonderful for the film.Test Drive appears in the film when Hiccup first takes flight on Toothless. It perfectly brings together “Hiccup's Theme†and “Toothless' Themeâ€. The two themes take over from each other, representing the development of their onscreen relationship during this flight scene as Hiccup starts to trust Toothless, and vice versa. The soundtrack was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score and the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music. This arrangement is for the UK-style brass band, with alternative parts for horns in F and bass-clef lower brass. Ten Traditional Spirituals for 8-note Bells and Boomwhackers® (with Color Coded Notes)

Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Multi-Percussion,Recorder,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565165 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional Spiritual. Arranged by Sharon Wilson Music. Children,Folk,Instructional,Praise & Worship,Spiritual. Score and parts. 80 pages. Sharon Wilson #3500119. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565165). This collection contains 10 traditional spirituals arranged for 2-part ensembles using only 8-note instruments. Each song in this collection is notated for handbells on one part and Boomwhackers® on a second part (requires one set of each instrument). Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords. For each song, there is a combined score with both parts on a grand staff plus a separate 1-staff score for each individual part.Though this sheet music is notated for handbells and Boomwhackers®, these arrangements are playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel (though the color coding may not match). This set of scores is also available (separate purchase) in black and white which will print clearer if you do not have access to a color printer. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Instrument assignment suggestions are provided for each song.Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of each song. The staves are shown without sharps or flats for simplicity since even though some of the songs are actually written in the key of F or G major, no sharps or flats are used.Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers®   * form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® * use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, children's ministriesEach of the 10 arrangements in this collection is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. Timothy Stapay #997124. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1415388). Here is a timeless country classic arranged for piano solo. A song the whole family will love to sing.Little Green Apples is a classic country song that was recorded by Glen Campbell in 1968. It was written by Bobby Russell and became a major hit, reaching the top 40 charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The song’s popularity has endured over the years, and it remains a beloved classic in the country music genre. Bobby Gentry sang this song in a wonderful duet with Glenn on his T.V. show.[Verse 1]Well, I wake up in the mornin' with my hair down in my eyesAnd she says, HiAnd I hurry to the breakfast table while the kids are goin' off to school, GoodbyeAnd she reaches out and takes my handAnd squeezes it and says, How you feelin', Hon?And I look across at smilin' lips that warms my heartAnd I see my mornin' sun[Pre-Chorus]And if that's not lovin' meThen all I've got to say[Chorus]God didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertimeThere's no such thing as Dr. SuessDisneyland and Mother Goose, no nursery rhymeGod didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertimeAnd when my self is feelin' lowI think about your face aglow and ease my mind[Verse 2]Sometimes I call him up knowin' he's busyAnd ask if he could get away and meet meMaybe grab a bite to eatAnd he drops what he's doin' and hurries down to meet meAnd I'm always lateHe sits waitin' patiently and smiles when he first sees me'Cause he's made that way [Pre-Chorus]And if that's not lovin' meThen all I've got to say[Chorus]God didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't snow in Indianapolis when the winter comeThere's no such thing as make-believePuppy dogs and autumn leaves, no BB gunGod didn't make the little green applesAnd it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertimeAnd when my self is feelin' lowI think about your face aglow and ease my mind

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022084 Composed by Bill Taylor music, Bill Taylor with Jaye Alison Moscariello, and Lyrics. Arranged by Bill Taylor. Broadway,Contemporary,Jazz. 3 pages. William R Taylor #6475595. Published by William R Taylor (A0.1022084). Release ©2006, lyrics©2010. Bill’s mom Priscilla Alden Taylor (nee Rowe) passed on at age 90 in January, 2010. This piece was one she loved, but the words did not come until 2 months after her death and 2 days before Jaye and I were to perform Mom’s song Every Time We Meet at the Anderson Valley Variety Show. We sung it as best we could with so little practice time and in a key way too high. This version is transposed down a fifth. Listeners with parents who have gone on, and those who haven’t, may find some familiar themes here. If inspired, support your local elder and/or hospice organizations. I love my children to be happy. What’s new with you Mom? Charlotte’s got a bakery. Hannah is teaching, playing in San Jose. Tom and Jeanne expecting, he’s flying a new plane. Lucy’s kids are doing well, I’m seeing Uncle Jay. My life is going on in a most pleasant way. When are you coming here to visit, it’s been way too long? When we were children everything was made into a song. Father’s jazzy flute, brother’s boogie woogie She left Julliard to help her family Factory in the war, music she wrote A job at Schirmers she met my Dad had 5 kids Trips to Vermont and Jersey and New York Kept house, school lunch, kind words, praising Now she is running and swimming Dancing and flying, she’s singing All new adventures, new worlds to learn and know Earth body left behind, all life is love and flow Walker made her so tired, shuffling oh so slow She learned to ask for help from all of us below Gathered her children all around her at her time to go Now she’s with her God.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1335072 Composed by James R. Murray. Arranged by Connie Boss. Children,Christmas. Score. 4 pages. Connie Boss #920918. Published by Connie Boss (A0.1335072). I put a twist on Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. I added verses and a different melody along with the familiar melody of Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. This song starts off with a child waiting patiently in line to see Santa so he can tell him what he wishes for him to bring him for Christmas. I started off with my own original melody and lyrics and then in the middle of the song, when the child finally reaches Santa, I switch to the melody of Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. However, to modernize it, I switched to Jolly Old Dear Santa Claus. I kept verse one lyrics the same except for that part. I changed the lyrics entirely for the second verse. The child tells Santa where he can put the presents and hopes one is for him. He also tells him he tries to wait up for him each year, but Santa is so quiet, he sleeps through the night. The last verse is back to my original melody and lyrics where Santa tells him it will be a surprise what he brings him this year. This brings the song all the way from waiting in line to see Santa to sitting on his knee and Santa telling him it will be a surprise. Let me know if you have any questions or request at cdboss@cvalley.net.Lyrics:Here to see Santa Claus “Jolly Old St Nicholasâ€Â I’m here to see Santa Claus But, it’s a long, long line, With lot’s of kids ahead of me, It will take some time I have with me my Christmas listTo tell dear Santa what I wish Now my time is finally hereTo sit up on his kneeHe asked me what I want this yearSo I whisper in his ear Jolly old dear Santa Claus, lean your ear this wayDon’t you tell a single soul what I’m going to sayChristmas eve is coming soon, now you dear old manWhisper what you’ll bring to me – tell me if you can Down the chimney you will comeRight next to the tree,You can put the presents thereI hope there’s one for me You never make any noiseI wait for you each yearBut I sleep all through the nightSo I can’t catch you here Then he looked and smiled at me and whispered in my earIt will be a big surprise what I bring to you this year.

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1371340 By Buddy Morrlow. By Jimmy Forrest, Lewis C. Simpkins, and Oscar Washington. Arranged by Paul Lichty. Blues,Jazz. 52 pages. Paul Lichty Music #955551. Published by Paul Lichty Music (A0.1371340). Thank you for considering this arrangement! The catchy melody and triplet feel will provide many opportunities for growth in your developing jazz ensemble.Listening to recordings of the tune is a must for emulating the style of the piece. Two good reference recordings are found on the following albums:Night Train - Jimmy ForrestGrey's Mood Al Grey (w/ Jimmy Forrest)There's also a terrific Youtube video of Jimmy Forrest performing it with the Count Basie Orchestra. This chart can be done with the following instrumentation: Altos 1 + 2, Tenor 1, Bari, Trumpets 1-2, Trombones 1-2, Piano, Bass, and Drums. If you'd like me to make parts for other instruments (flute, horn, etc.), please reach out to me.I couldn't think of too many blues heads that'd be able to teach two essential jazz concepts (the blues and slow swing feel) that would be as catchy and as fun as Night Train. Your kids will be playing this tune a lot in the band room!Whenever chord symbols are present, bass players can make up their own bass lines and guitarists/pianists their own voicings. This chart's slow tempo and familiar harmonic structure can provide young players with a bridge to developing their own improvised bass lines and comping skills. The plunger work in the beginning is fun, but not required (in case you don't trust middle school students with plungers :))If your rhythm section players need easier or harder parts, let me know and I'm happy to provide.Feel free to add additional soloists if desired. The trombone solo can be repeated for additional soloists.Enjoy Night Train!

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1460513 By John Denver. By Johnny Marks. Arranged by Will Corbin. Children,Christmas,Pop. 10 pages. Will Corbin #1039437. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1460513). The Rudolph story begins in 1939, when Montgomery Ward asked Robert May, one of its ad copywriters, to come up with a kids' book for its Christmas shoppers. The result was the now-familiar red-nosed reindeer. (For those born in later generations, Mongomery Ward was a giant, like Sears, in the mail-order retail business. Kind of like Amazon without the Internet.) May's brother-in-law, Johnny Marks, turned it into a song a decade later. Gene Autry recorded it for Christmas in 1949, and it immediately hit No. 1 on the pop music charts. It was still there at the end of the first week of January, making it the first No. 1 hit of the 1950s.Its sales since then, including countless covers, have surpassed 150 million. Only White Christmas, among holiday songs, has sold more.If you need alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Contact me at wilcor@aol.com.
