Choral Choir,Choral (SSAA) - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1353397 Composed by Lois J Henrickson (Lytingale). Arranged by Lois J Henrickson (Lytingale). Contemporary,Pop. 17 pages. Lytingale Music #938156. Published by Lytingale Music (A0.1353397). Written for SSAA chorus. Theme: empowerment, activism. We are the ones who can fix this world!Accompanied by piano, with optional violin (or flute) partAvailable formats: full score with piano, lead sheet (no piano, for singers), violin part, piano reduction. The mp3 is a rough mix of the parts recordings created for rehearsal (which are available). My community chorus memorizes, so I write with repetition and consistency! Our chorus found this exciting and inspirational to sing. This piece was also chosen to be performed as a mass chorus piece for the national Sister Singers Network Festival 2023 in Cleveland.Lyrics:Movin' and a-shakin' and a-shakin' and a-movin',Movin' and a-shakin' and a-shakin' and a-movin', Movin' and a-shakin' and a-shakin' and a-movin',  Movin' and a-shakin' and a-shakin' and a-movin', Rock on, sisters! Rock on! Awaken the world, sisters. Awakenin', awakenin' the world. Wake up! Awaken the world, sisters. Awakenin', awakenin' the world. We are the ones  Who get things done.We are the ones  Who make it run.We are the ones  Who work together. Together we can change the world. Honor the mothers. Honor the mothers who carried us through, to get us to a world of possibility where we can see how to be more, how to live free. We stand on the shoulders. We stand on the shoulders of women who died, and women who cried out for freedom, for justice, for life. Some of us rock the cradle. Some of us rock the boat. Giving what we are able   to do, to see, to be. Standing on the rock of community.Standing on the rock of community. We're standing on the rock of community.  Makin' a way to grow and live the power,    the power of our own truth. Together we can change the world. Liberty! Together we can change the world. Equality! Together we can change the world. Community! Together we can change the world. Fix this world. There's a whole lot to do.Fix this world. Gonna make it new.Fix this world. It's up to me and you. I witnessed.  Because it needed to be done.I spoke out.  Because it needed to be done. I stood up.   Because it needed to be done. I did what needed, I did what needed, I did what needed to be done.Awaken the world, sisters. Awakenin', awakenin' the world. Wake up! Awaken the world, sisters. Awakenin', awakenin' the world. Wake up! We are the ones  Who get things done.We are the ones  Who make it run.We are the ones  Who work together, Together we can change the world. Movin' and a-shakin' and a-shakin' and a-movin', Together we can change the worldMovin' and a-shakin' and a-shakin' and a-movin', Together we can change the world.Together, Together, Together, Together,Together we can change the world. (2021) Lois J Henrickson (Lytingale).

Small Ensemble Medium Voice,Piano Accompaniment,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - SKU: A0.534375 Composed by Paul Wehage. Concert,Contemporary,Holiday,Love,Standards. Score and parts. 41 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3396161. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534375). To You for Baritone, Tenor Saxophone and piano is dedicated to the American Baritone Kurt Ollmann, who has done much for the promotion and performance of American music both in the United States and abroad.Whitman’s poem speaks of seeing a stranger and feeling love for this person. In contrast to Poe’s To Helen, which treats a similar subject of a chance meeting of a stranger that the poet loves, Whitman does not idealize his subject but rather pointedly and brutally describes how he sees this person and what feelings (both negative and positive) this contemplation provokes in the poet’s mind In order to reflect this musically, there is an alternation between more introspective and brooding sections which are then followed by more ecstatic outbursts. The piece ends with the poet watching the stranger leave, expressing what the composer felt to be acceptance and release. As in any chamber music with voice, it is important that the two instruments allow the voice to predominate, regardless of the dynamics marked in their parts. The saxophonist should try as much as possible to match colour with the voice,in order to allow the contrapuntal exchanges between the voice and the saxophone to blend evenly. The pianist should play the passages at rehearsal marks E, G and K in a more soloist manner, always taking care not to cover the voice..To YouWhoever you are, I fear you are walking the walks of dreams,I fear these supposed realities are to melt from under your feet and hands,Even now your features, joys, speech, house, trade, manners, troubles, follies, costume, crimes, dissipate away from you,Your true soul and body appear before me.They stand forth out of affairs, out of commerce, shops, work, farms, clothes, the house, buying, selling, eating, drinking, suffering, dying.Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you be my poem,I whisper with my lips close to your ear.I have loved many women and men, but I love none better than you.O I have been dilatory and dumb,I should have made my way straight to you long ago,I should have blabb'd nothing but you, I should have chanted nothingbut you.I will leave all and come and make the hymns of you,None has understood you, but I understand you,None has done justice to you, you have not done justice to yourself,None but has found you imperfect, I only find no imperfection in you,None but would subordinate you, I only am he who will never consentto subordinate you,I only am he who places over you no master, owner, better, God,beyond what waits intrinsically in yourself.Painters have painted their swarming groups and the centre-figure of all,From the head of the centre-figure spreading a nimbus of gold-color'd light,But I paint myriads of heads, but paint no head without its nimbusof gold-color'd light,From my hand from the brain of every man and woman it streams, effulgently flowing forever.O I could sing such grandeurs and glories about you!You have not known what you are, you have slumber'd upon yourselfall your life,Your eyelids have been the same as closed most of the time,What you have done returns already in mockeries,(Your thrift, knowledge, prayers, if they do not return inmockeries, what is their return?)The mockeries are not you,Underneath them and within them I see you lurk,I pursue you where none else has pursued you,Silence, the desk, the flippant expression, the night, theaccustom'd routine, if these conceal you from others or fromyourself, they do not conceal you from me,The shaved face, the unsteady eye, the impure complexion, if thesebalk others they do not balk me,The pert apparel, the deform'd attitude, drunkenness, greed, premature death, all these I part aside. There is no endowment in man or woman that is not tallied in you,There is no virtue,.

Piano,Violin - Level 3 - SKU: A0.586734 By Diane Guerrero & Stephanie Beatriz. By Lin-Manuel Miranda. Arranged by Martin Lass. Broadway,Latin,Musical/Show,Pop. 10 pages. MA Lass & I Lass #195982. Published by MA Lass & I Lass (A0.586734). In this Level 2.5 - 3.0 (Intermediate) arrangement, Martin Lass has arranged the hit song, What Else Can I Do?, for solo violin and piano accompaniment. Guitar chords and chord boxes are included. We Don't Talk About Bruno is a song from Disney's 2021 animated feature film, Encanto, with music and lyrics written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. It was released by Walt Disney Records as part of the film's soundtrack in November, 2021. The soundtrack has achieved many accolades and charted No. 1 or Top Ten across the world, including No. 1 on US Billboard Hot 100. Wikipedia notes that, to develop the soundtrack, the composer, Miranda, and team visited Colombia—the setting of Encanto—to study the country's music. Consequentially, the album is rooted in genres such as vallenato, cumbia, bambuco and rock en español, making use of the traditional music instruments of Colombia, and incorporates salsa, tango, reggaeton and bachata styles alongside pop, hip hop, folk and musical theatre elements. In the film, the songs are performed by the Madrigals, who are a multigenerational family with magical powers granted to them by a miracle; the lyrical themes revolve around individuality, self-worth, transgenerational trauma and familial love. This arrangement has been specifically tailored for intermediate-level violin while retaining all of the original elements of the song, as well as some original interpretative elements. The lead line combines some of the different voices in the original song. The key has been changed from the original A minor/C major to the more violin-friendly B minor/D major, which changes the modulation halfway through the song from the very challenging Bb minor/Db major to the more friendly C minor/Eb major.

Recorder - Level 4 - SKU: A0.736659 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Recorder Ensemble. 7 pages. Chicory Music #6679345. Published by Chicory Music (A0.736659). On October 15, 1951, the very first episode of the I Love Lucy show aired on CBS and became the most watched TV show in the U.S. for four of its seven-year run. Fun trivia about the opening theme song is that during the first season the show opened with their sponsor Philip Morris’ animation of stick figure cartoons of Lucy and Desi climbing down a pack of Philip Morris cigarettes. It was scored with Ferde Grofé’s Jr. The Grand Canyon Suite theme (a composition from 1931).From the second season onwards, the I Love Lucy signature tune we all know so well became the main theme, and one of the most recognizable pieces of music on the planet. It was written by composer Eliot Daniel who cranked it out in an afternoon as a favor to his old Coast Guard buddy Jess Oppenheimer, the show’s producer. Since Daniel still had another year under his exclusive contract to Fox, he asked Oppenheimer to keep his name out of it. Consequently his name does not appear on first or the second season TV credits for what became one of the most popular TV themes. Later, Daniel did seek credit and received royalties from syndicated reruns for the rest of his life. The lyrics were written by Harold Adamson for an episode in the third season in which Lucy believes everyone has forgotten her birthday. So of course Ricky saves the day after a near disaster. This arrangement for Descant / Soprano Recorder Quartet remains faithful to the original.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds

SATB choir and organ - SKU: S9.Q54420 Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis. Composed by Julian Anderson. This edition: choral score. Choral Music of Our Time. Downloadable, Choral score. Duration 9 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q54420. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q54420). English.Although I had already set separate Latin versions of both the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, this is the first time I’ve made a setting in English of both texts for use at Evensong. I have often attended Evensong in the Cambridge college chapels: it’s a service whose meanings and spirituality are quite different from any other, and it has its own special atmosphere. Evensong’s coupling of Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis texts is fascinating: the exuberant celebration of the former contrasts so marvellously with the intimate reflections of the latter. In my Evening Canticles I have tried to make the most of that contrast. The Magnificat is forceful, replete with sprung rhythms, polymeter, and bright harmonies showing off the brilliance of the choir. Some use is made (especially near the opening) of free rhythms in which every singer performs a passage at their own speed, creating a spray of sound. The Nunc Dimittis, on the other hand, is predominantly clear and transparent, even austere, allowing the singers to shape melodic lines with expression and lyricism, as befits the text. I was enormously excited to be invited to compose my Evening Canticles for Andrew Nethsingha and the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. I want to thank all the performers for giving the work such a splendid launch, and for the magnificent recording on this CD. The work is dedicated to Andrew Nethsingha. JA 2019.

This arrangement for Trombone Quartet / Choir plus optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set parts remains faithful to the original.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds
