The Four Seasons (Italian: Le quattro stagioni) is a group of four violin concerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives musical expression to a season of the year. They were written around 1721 and were published in 1725. The Four Seasons is the best known of Vivaldi's works. “Winter†is arranged for Clarinet Choir Quartet (E Flat Clarinet; 2 B Flat Clarinets and Bass Clarinet). The level is Difficult and the duration is 3.37 minutes.

Published by Bandroom.com Publications (A0.859746). _________________________ With its distinctive Russian flavor, MARCH OF THE CZAR'S BRIGADE depicts a pass and review of military troops on a snowy winter's day. Starting quietly, the sound slowly grows to a strong B section, then marches away into the distance. This G-minor work is ideal for any concert or festival. DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Medium Easy / Grade 2 / suitable for middle school or small high school bands FEATURES: - All winds (including tuba!) have melody at least once. - Simple trombone parts (generously cross-cued in Horn, Euphonium) - 2nd Clarinet remains below break. CHALLENGES: - Use of dotted-eighth/sixteenth rhythm in melody. - Use of low register for clarinets. (low E, F, G#) - Tuba solo (cued in other parts) - Muted Trumpet 1 solo (unison line with other instruments) - Dynamics; articulations; a few 16th-notes in all parts. RANGES: - All parts are well within 2nd-year ranges: Flute to E-flat above staff (only once); 1st Clarinet to C above staff; 2nd Clarinet remains below break; Trumpets to 3rd space C (1st Trumpet to E, once); Trombone to C above staff; Tuba to C on staff, down to D just below staff. MINIMUM INSTRUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS: Flute, 2 Clarinets, Alto or Tenor Sax or Horn, 2 Trumpets, 2 Trombone, Bass Line, Percussion. PERCUSSION: Parts for 5 players: Percussionist 1 = Snare Drum Percussionist 2 = Bass Drum Percussionist 3 = Crash Cymbals, Sleigh Bells Percussionist 4 = Bells, Chimes Percussionist 5 = Timpani (3 or 4 drums) _______________________ SAMPLE: You can view non-printable PDF samples of several Parts (Clarinet 1, Trumpet 2, Trombone 1, Snare/Bass Drum) at www.bandroom.com.
