Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.877932 Composed by Giachomo Rossini, Johannes Brahms, and Rebecca Bogardus. Arranged by Rebecca Bogardus. Children,Classical,Folk,Romantic Period,Standards. 105 pages. Lillwy Publishing #4780813. Published by Lillwy Publishing (A0.877932). Beginners will have a blast with these ensemble arrangements leveled to correlate with popular flute method books! Each part is correlated with a specific lesson in the Flute 101 and Blocki Methods. Creating an ensemble for your beginning flute students is one of the best things you can do for them; intonation, phrasing, and dynamics are all more effectively taught when reinforced through ensemble work. Since these are multi-level ensembles, your students will quickly find role models within your studio who are playing at a higher level, increasing motivation to practice so they can play the harder parts the next time! *Please note that these arrangements correlate with method books meant for private lessons, which typically begin with the notes B, A, and G, rather than band methods, which start students with less beginner-friendly flute notes.Collection ACollection A includes two trios, two quartets, and one trio with a split first part. The pieces work well together if you are looking for a great concert program. They are presented here roughly in ascending order of difficulty. As a special bonus, extra parts for alto flute, bass flute, Bb instruments, Eb instruments, French Horn, and Bass clef instruments are included for The Water Is Wide and the William Tell Overture if you would like to expand your ensembleIncluded in Collection ARobins' DanceLullabyThe Water Is WideBare BranchesThe William Tell Overture

My JuneIV. Hello, I’m Johnny CashPiano Trio No. 1 (Poets and Prophets) was composed by Mark O’Connor during the Fall of 2003. The piece was commissioned for the Eroica Trio by a noted patron for music, Kathryn Gould of Palo Alto, California. The world premiere took place at the Montalvo Chamber Music Series in California, March 5th, 2004. In a letter to the members of the trio dated 9/20/03, Mr. O’Connor lays out his plan for the new music. My initial ideas have sort of exploded in to the entire concept of the music with a real impact actually. Now I am piecing together the parts of it and then will eventually work on detail as I get the overall form under wrap. Here is what my inspiration for the music is; Johnny Cash.Johnny was a boyhood hero of mine, I used to sing his songs when I was 8, 9 and 10 years old, and played the guitar like him (sometimes up the fretboard strumming away). My mom used to help me transcribe all the lyrics off the albums, she also thought he hung the moon. As you can imagine, the passing of Cash for me this last week has been emotional. I am at my very best when I compose with my emotions at my sleeve, and guess what, it is time to do the Eroica piece. And I believe I will be able to craft a very unique tribute in to the form of a Piano Trio. There is something that is very fitting in all of this though. Cash was one of the few country music and rockabilly musicians to appeal to all ages, all types of people all the way into the MTV generation which is something that is hard to fathom. That one person can move musical mountains with his charisma and his voice. He sung about the prisons, riding the trains, about killing, and living, about lost love, about the gospel, about the downtrodden and the Native American, and about being stoned. His musical sound was the thing that got everybody though. He developed along with his guitar player Luther Perkins, a new and vibrant way to bring the music out.I also knew Johnny and worked with him, visited him privately at his home. Johnny also appeared on my album called Heroes, where he brought back the great story of the Devil coming down to Georgia to challenge young Johnny for the golden fiddle. My job now is to bridge what I am feeling about my inspiration for Cash, and bring it in to the instruments that I love writing for.I might not have imagined that this Johnny Cash concept would have worked out of hand, if it hadn’t been for your musicianship, insight fullness and graceful approaches in to the details of musical concepts and style. If the piece is good, then I will have no doubt that you will bring it to the forefront so others can grasp the intentions of the work, and in addition for others to enjoy playing it after you have brought it all out in to the open, and gave it a life. The Best Hymns of All Time (for Wind Instruments) Book 3

Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522172 Composed by Various. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 138 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #5726785. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522172). Here’s a terrific collection of sixty of the best-loved hymns ever composed. The hymns are scored in four parts and could be used with virtually any combination of conventional wind instruments. They are presented in a set of three books and include full four-part instrumental scores plus separate parts in a variety of useful transpositions. Parts 1 and 2 (soprano and alto) are provided in B flat, E flat and C (8ve higher than concert); Part 3 (tenor) in B flat (9th above concert), E flat, F and C (bass clef) and Part 4 (bass) in B flat, E flat and C. There’s also an optional but useful simplified keyboard part intended for less experienced keyboard players. The left hand plays only the bass part most of the time, with the right hand part kept as simple as possible. It could be used as the basis of an accompaniment and means that you can use the arrangements as solos, duets or trios. The piano part too means that you can use the arrangements as solos, duets or trios. These arrangements are intended either as stand-alone pieces that could be used as interludes in a service, or they could be used to accompany solo, choral or congregational singing. This is essential music for schools and many churches and contains probably all the hymns you’ll ever need. The entire collection of scores and parts is presented in a single 138-page PDF file for instant download. Book 3 contains the following twenty popular hymns: All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name (Miles Lane); All things Bright and Beautiful (Bright and Beautiful); Alleluia, Sing to Jesus (Hyfrydol); Blessed Assurance (Assurance); Come, Ye Thankful People, Come (St George’s Windsor); Father, Hear the Prayer we Offer (Sussex & Gott Will's Machen); For the Beauty of the Earth (Dix); Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken (Austrian hymn); How Firm a Foundation (Foundation); Jesu, Lover of my Soul (Hollingside); Jesus Loves Me, This I Know (Jesus Loves Me); Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee (Hymn to Joy); Kum Ba Yah (Afro-American folksong); Mine Eyes have Seen the Glory (Battle Hymn of the Republic); O God, Our Help In Ages Past (St. Anne); Morning has Broken (Bunessan); Praise to the Lord the Almighty (Lob den Herren); Shall We Gather at the River? (Hanson Place); The God of Abraham Praise (Leoni); When Peace Like a River (Ville du Havre). The music has been set in wind-friendly keys and the arrangements are compatible with the brass collection of the same name. They are not compatible with the string collection of the same name.

Pachelbel's Canon in D, for Flute Trio and optional Bass
Trio de Flûtes: 3 flûtes

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587471 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. 23 pages. David McKeown #3243685. Published by David McKeown (A0.587471). Next to nothing is known about the origins of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D. The earliest manuscript dates from the nineteenth century and the piece only emerged from obscurity through radio play in the 1970s. Now one of the best-loved and ubiquitous classical pieces, the Canon’s repeating chord sequence has inspired countless pop tunes from the Streets of London, to I Should be so Lucky and Don’t Look Back in Anger. This version is arranged and transposed to a suitable key as a Trio for three Flutes. An optional part 4 is included which can be played on any bass instrument to add texture and harmonic context. The original note values have been doubled to make the rhythms easier to read. The linked youtube performance is the Clarinet version of this arrangement. Musicians at an advanced intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, and being a Canon, all but the bass part play the melody. Duet versions of this piece can also be found by browsing from the link below. The overall performance time is around four and a half minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with stamina, concentration and rhythmic consistency. Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1342579 Composed by William Byrd. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Early Music,Historic,Instructional,Renaissance. 27 pages. Regis Bookshar #928078. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1342579). Sing Joyfully - William Byrd - Brass Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download.William Byrd was the greatest British composer of the late Renaissance, and just maybe, the greatest British composer ever. He wrote a huge body of choral music, some of it profound and timeless. He also composed brilliant, virtuoso pieces and his motet-like anthem, Sing Joyfully, a polyphonic setting of Psalm 81, written in 1590, is perhaps his best-known one. It is enchanting to listen to and fun to sing. Regis Bookshar thought that instrumental performers should have the same opportunity that singers have experienced for years, so he has now transcribed, edited and arranged this wonderful composition for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba.Since no tempo is indicated and there are no written dynamic or phrase markings in William Byrd's original score, Regis Bookshar has taken the liberty to add them in order to provide direction and life to the piece. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students, and perhaps even some younger students. It is perfect for concerts, recitals and church services, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. Also, please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as there are numerous selections in a variety of styles also available for purchase. You may find smething else which might interest you. Please continue to check back periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of William Byrd's magnificent anthem, Sing Joyfully, will continue to delight both performers and audiences alike for many years to come.

Thanksgiving Medley for Flute Choir

Woodwind Ensemble Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.773303 Composed by Various. Arranged by Yoel Epstein. Christian,Folk,Holiday,Praise & Worship,Sacred. 32 pages. Yoel Epstein #3238781. Published by Yoel Epstein (A0.773303). I wish you the greatest pleasure playing these arrangements of traditional Thanksgiving songs. Thanksgiving is one of the most beautiful of holidays, a holiday filled with joy and music. We Gather Together to Ask the Lord's Blessing: Written in 1597 by Dutch composer Adrianus Valerius to celebrate Holland's victory over Spain, the tune was brought to American shores by the early Dutch settlers. Poet Theodore Baker wrote a new version of the lyrics in 1894, which became the standard Thanksgiving version. Over the River and Through the Wood: Lydia Maria Child, an outspoken abolitionist and advocate for Indian rights, wrote this poem in 1845. It was set to music by an unknown composer. Let All Things Now Living (The Ash Grove) This traditional Welsh melody (Llwyn Onn or The Ash Grove in Welsh) has inspired numerous lyricists to write words to the hauntingly beautiful tune. The poem by Katherine Davis, written in 1939, is the text most associated with Thanksgiving. Amazing Grace: Written by reprobate sailor John Newton in 1779. Known for his profanity, vulgarity and venery, he was imprisoned, beaten, and enslaved, before he reformed, and became a leading minister and hymn-writer. This is one of the most popular hymns ever written. This Land is Your Land: A traditional American tune, made famous by folksinger Woody Guthrie in 1940. Guthrie wrote the words as a rebuff to the song God Bless America, the huge hit by songwriter Irving Berlin. As a counter to Berlin's drum-beating patriotism, Guthrie would occasionally add politically charged verses expressing his support for communism. I hope you enjoy playing this as much as I enjoyed writing it. If you need other pieces of Americana for your ensemble, you might find them in Best-Loved American Folksongs, in two volumes, available here (volume 1) and here (volume 2). There are also arrangements of Battle Hymn of the Republic, Stars and Stripes Forever, America the Beautiful, and The Star-Spangled Banner. You can see them all and more at my composer page. I have also arranged three songs from the Holocaust, which I distribute for free on IMSLP. You can find them at http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Ravpapa. If you need arrangements of any of these songs for special combinations of instruments, feel free to contact me at yoelepst@gmail.com, and I will try to accommodate.

For Independence Day celebrations or other patriotic events, Thomas Smith's General Mixup, U.S.A. medley provides a rousing number. Many patriotic favorites such as the Star-Spangled Banner, Columbia Gem of the Ocean, Dixieland, Year of Jubilo, Battle Cry of Freedom, among other songs and bugle calls, are all woven together. So many songs come and go in such short order that it's fun for an audience to keep up!There are some technical challenges present for all parts, but many can be alleviated by taking things at a tempo that works best for your complement of players. A great arrangement for your 4th of July event!

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1414174 By The Beach Boys. By Brian Wilson and Tony Asher. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. 19 pages. Derek Hasted #995946. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1414174). GOD ONLY KNOWS (Beach Boys) - GUITAR QUARTET/large ensembleFor Classical or Acoustic GuitarDerek Hasted writes This is a lovely piece that will appeal to audiences of all ages - theyâ??ll be humming it on the way home!I've arranged this to suit as many guitar ensembles as possible - I've changed the key a little to make the shapes in this piece familiar ones and to make best use of the neck. My arrangement will suit a mixed ability ensemble from early intermediate to intermediate. Guitar 4 has the bottom string tuned down to D.I've arranged this in compound time instead of swing rhythm, and I've included triplet dotted crotchets (¼ notes) instead of three plain crotchets, so that the rhythm is easy to read. The piece finishes with a final chord instead of a fade to nothing, as it usually works better in concert. But if you have a conductor who can help with the fade, you could carry on playing the repeating section at the end until the sound has vanished.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Tuba, Euphonium, Tuba Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Glenn Miller. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 20th Century, Jazz, Swing, Old-time. Score, Set of Parts. 8 pages. Published by Music for all Occasions
Moonlight Serenade" arranged here for Tuba Quintet, is an American popular song composed by Glenn Miller with subsequent lyrics by Mitchell Parish. It was an immediate phenomenon when first released in May 1939 as an instrumental arrangement and was adopted as Miller’s signature tune. In 1991, Miller’s recording of "Moonlight Serenade" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.<br> <br> The song, recorded on April 4, 1939 on RCA Bluebird, was a Top Ten hit on the U.S. pop charts in 1939, reaching number three on the Billboard charts, where it stayed for fifteen weeks. It was the number 5 top pop hit of 1939 in the Billboard year-end tally. Glenn Miller had five records in the top 20 songs of 1939 on Billboard′s list.<br> <br> In the UK, "Moonlight Serenade" was released as the A-side of a 78 on His Master’s Voice, with "American Patrol" as the B-side. The recording reached number twelve in the UK in March 1954, staying on the chart for one week. In a medley with "Little Brown Jug" and "In the Mood", "Moonlight Serenade" reached number thirteen on the UK charts in January 1976, in a chart run of eight weeks.<br> <br> The recording was also issued as a V-Disc, No. 39A, in November 1943.<br> <br> The recording used a clarinet-led saxophone section, which is widely considered[citation needed] the classic Glenn Miller style. Miller studied the Schillinger technique with Joseph Schillinger, who is credited with helping Miller create the "Miller sound", and under whose tutelage he himself composed "Moonlight Serenade".<br> <br> The song evolved from a 1935 version entitled "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep", with music by Glenn Miller and lyrics by Eddie Heyman to a version called "Gone with the Dawn" with lyrics by George Simon, and "The Wind in the Trees" with lyrics by Mitchell Parish. In his biography of Glenn Miller, George T. Simon recounted how vocalist Al Bowlly of the Ray Noble Orchestra sang him the Eddie Heyman lyrics to the Glenn Miller music of "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep" in 1935. The Noble Orchestra never recorded the song. Finally it ended up as "Moonlight Serenade" because Robbins Music bought the music and learned that Miller was recording a cover of "Sunrise Serenade", a Frankie Carle associated song, for RCA Victor. They thought "Moonlight" would be a natural association for "Sunrise".<br> <br> "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep" was composed in 1935 with lyrics by Eddie Heyman and music by Glenn Miller. After "Moonlight Serenade", originally released solely as an instrumental, became a smash hit in 1939, Mitchell Parish wrote new lyrics for the music under that title.<br> <br> A notable vocal version can be found on Frank Sinatra’s Moonlight Sinatra released in 1965, which also contains "Moon Love", "Moonlight Becomes You", and "Oh, You Crazy Moon", which were recorded by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra. "Moonlight Serenade" can also be found on Nothing But the Best, a 2008 Frank Sinatra greatest hits compilation by Reprise, on My Way: The Best of Frank Sinatra from 1997 by Warner Bros., and the Frank Sinatra compilation Greatest Love Songs from 2002. Frank Sinatra also released the song as part of an 7" EP 33RPM single in 1966, Reprise SR1018. The song also appeared on the 2015 centennial collection Ultimate Sinatra. In 1939, Count Basie and His Orchestra recorded one of the earliest versions to feature the lyrics added by Mitchell Parish which was released as a 78 single, Vocalion 5036.<br> <br> "Moonlight Serenade" has been covered by Barry Manilow, Carly Simon, The Airmen of Note of the U.S. Air Force with Air Force Strings, Charlie Haden, Marc Reift, Chet Baker with The Mariachi Brass in 1966, Santo and Johnny, Thelma Houston, Carol Burnett, Toots Thielemans, Deodato, who reached number 18 on the Billboard Easy Listening Chart, Count Basie and his Orchestra with vocals by Helen Humes in 1939, Benny Goodman and his Orchestra, Cab Calloway, The Modernaires, Gene Krupa and his Orchestra, Freddy Martin and his Orchestra, Bert Kaempfert, Ray Conniff, Mina, Dick Todd on RCA Bluebird, Geoff Love and His Orchestra, Lloyd Gregory on solo guitar, Dick Hyman, Maxwell Davis and his Orchestra, Tony Evans, Los Indios Tabajaras, David Rose, Richard Himber, Fi Dells Quartet, Waikikis, The Universal-International Orchestra conducted by Joseph Gershenson, Oleg Lundstrom, Charlie Byrd, Taco, Alix Combelle, Richard Vaughn, Lisa Ono, Eddie Maynard, Simone Kopmajer, Hamburg Philharmonia, Frankie Capp, Dave, Robert Banks Trio, Karel Vlach, Transatlantic Swing Band, the Frankie Condon Orchestra, The Romantic Strings, Paul Mauriat, Tommy Leonetti, Johnny Desmond, the Boston Pops under Arthur Fiedler, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart, Charlie Calello Orchestra, J.P.
