It's an accurate, carefully created piano arrangement of the beautiful ballad.

The whole melody is included in the piano part, so it makes for a perfect instrumental / piano solo cover.

Eric Clapton began writing "Tears in Heaven" after a series of personal tragedies - in 1990, he lost friends in a helicopter acciddent, and in 1991, his four-year-old son Conor died after falling from a window.

After writing the first verse, he asked American songwriter Will Jennings to help him complete the song's lyrics.

Clapton then recorded the song for the soundtrack of the 1991 film "Rush" by Lili Fini Zanuck.

In 1992, a live version of the song was recorded at an MTV Unplugged concert, which was included on his 1992 album "Unplugged".

"Tears in Heaven" became Clapton's best-selling single in the US and won several awards, including three Grammy Awards.

Needless to say, it's one of the most heart-breaking songs ever written about losing a loved one, and it makes for a beautiful piano ballad.

It is fascinating how the famous Hungarian composer skilfully superimposes rhythms which, with shifted accents and different speeds, create a third dimension of hearing, like an optical illusion. The breathtaking whirling of the keys in 'Desordre', the first of 18 etudes for piano altogether, is a sign of Ligeti's enthusiasm for Central African music which later was to become so important to him.

"Bella ciao" ("Goodbye beautiful") is an Italian protest folk song that originated in the hardships of the mondina women, the paddy field workers in the late 19th century who sang it to protest against harsh working conditions in the paddy fields of North Italy. The song was modified and adopted as an anthem of the anti-fascist resistance by the Italian partisans between 1943 and 1945 during the Italian Resistance, the resistance of Italian partisans against the Nazi German forces occupying Italy, and, during the Italian Civil War, the Italian partisan struggle against the fascist Italian Social Republic and its Nazi German allies. Versions of "Bella ciao" are sung worldwide as an anti-fascist hymn of freedom and resistance.
