In 1979, Dan Hartman's disco classic, Relight My Fire, occupied the top slot of the US dance charts for six weeks. In 1993, the song was back at No. 1 reworked and sung by British boyband, Take That. Both of these versions inspired Peter Kleine Schaars in his arrangement of Relight My Fire for concert band.

De discohit Relight My Fire van Dan Hartman uit het jaar 1979 stond toentertijd maar liefst zes weken lang in de top van de Amerikaanse hitlijsten. In 1993 lukte het de Britse boyband Take That en zangeres Lulu met hetzelfdenummer een nummer 1 hit te scoren in Groot-Brittannië. Beide versies inspireerden Peter Kleine Schaars tot een arrangement voor blaasorkest.

Der Disco-Hit Relight My Fire von Dan Hartman aus dem Jahr 1979 belegte damals sechs Wochen lang die Spitze der US-Dance-Charts. 1993 gelang der britischen Boygroup Take That mit der Sängerin Lulu ein Nr. 1-Hit mit demselben Titel in Großbritannien.
