Brass Band - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-1196084-130 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. Concert and Contest Collection Brass Band en Fanfare. Contemporary Music. Score Only. Composed 2019. 55 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1196084-130. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1196084-130). English-German-French-Dutch. Alpina Brass was the test piece for the first division of the Fêtes Cantonales on 8 and 9 June 2019 in Naters, Switzerland. It consists of three movements, and features a variety of aspects, as is common for a competitionwork. However, as a whole, it has been written in such a way that it can perfectly serve as a concert work as well. It is a challenging piece for every section and offers colourful and melodic as well as spectacular rhythmicsequences and a most impressive ending!
Juni 2019 in Naters (Schweiz).
$31.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.DHP-0971084-140 Composed by Franco Cesarini. Inspiration Series. Opening Pieces. Score Only. Composed 1997. De Haske Publications #DHP 0971084-140. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-0971084-140).
Eccellente come opener! $26.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Every year a competition for wind orchestras and brass bands takes place in Wallberg, Switzerland. Apart from a hymn and a solo piece, all orchestras also have a compulsory piece to play. The commission to create a compulsory piece for the 2012 competition fell to Jan de Haan. The composition is entitled Musica Helvetica. It takes the form of a three-part concert work, in which the last two parts flow directly from one to the other. The first part, Musica Prima, is a brisk virtuoso opening with jazz flavours woven in. The following section, Musica Sacra, offers a contrast with an extraordinarily colourful instrumentation for the gorgeous main theme. Thefinal part, Musica Alpina, is inspired by the great variety of scenery in Switzerland. With its witty humour it makes a worthy conclusion to this beautiful tryptich. $52.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

| Musica Transalpina (1588) Choral SATB Stainer and Bell
SATB choir SKU: ST.EM42 Composed by Nicholas Yonge. Edited by David Greer...(+)
SATB choir SKU: ST.EM42 Composed by Nicholas Yonge. Edited by David Greer. Library Volumes. Edited by David Greer. Paperback. Madrigals. Collection. Stainer & Bell Ltd. #EM42. Published by Stainer & Bell Ltd. (ST.EM42). ISBN 9790220223136. This is the first ever complete published edition of a major madrigal collection that is essential to our understanding of the fruitful interaction of Renaissance Italian and English music. In four, five and six voices, the 57 pieces of Musica Transalpina include 51 madrigals by Marenzio, Palestrina and others, the two parts of Byrd's 'La virginella', and four French chansons. Uniquely, the anthology also features singing translations of the original poems from the Italian into the vernacular, for which it was widely admired and circulated. As a printed source from which composers could learn the madrigal style and aesthetic, it was hugely influential in inspiring the 'golden age' of Tudor and Jacobean vocal music. An important addition to The English Madrigalists series, Musica Transalpina of 1588 is not only of great scholarly interest but is also an outstanding addition to the repertoire that will delight contemporary singers no less than it enthralled those Elizabethans who first responded with such enthusiasm to its fine music and accessible 'Englished' texts. Thanks to a stipend from his patron, the Landgrave Moritz von Hessen-Kassel, Schutz was able to pursue a three-year period of study under Giovanni Gabrieli in Venice from 1609 to 1612, which he concluded with the publication in 1611 of the madrigal collection Il Primo Libro de Madrigali. Already in this, his Opus primus, Schutz emerged as an outstanding composer: In their musical quality, the 18 five-part madrigals exceed much that was still being composed in the traditional madrigal style at the beginnning of the 17th century. $150.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Following massive airplay it reached number one in pop charts around the world and in 1980 received a Grammy for Best Disco Recording. Since then it has appeared in many films and television programs and has been adopted by many causes such as HIV/AIDS awareness and the campaign for womenâ??s rights. It is also the â??stadium anthemâ?? for the Dutch football team Feyenoord. Ensure your audience leaves any concert in an upbeat mood with this disco masterpiece.
In de jaren negentig was I Will Survive opnieuw een enorm succes.
