Choral (Mixed Choir) - intermediate to difficult SKU: HL.49019422 Mixed Choir (4-8 parts). Composed by Charles Villiers Stanford. Edited by Klaus Heizmann. This edition: Saddle stitching. Sheet music. Choral. Classical, General Worship, Sacred. Softcover. Op. 38. 28 pages. Schott Music #C55206. Published by Schott Music (HL.49019422). ISBN 9790001190268. 7.5x11.0x0.1 inches. Latin. Influenced by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, the Irish composer Sir Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924) developed an English Romantic musical language of his own. This is noticeable especially in his three Latin motets in which a typically 'English' tone prevails, characterized by extremely flowing melodies, smooth harmonies and great singability. These three compositions are perfect for church services and concerts. Contents: Iustorum animae • Coelos ascendit hodie • Beati quorum via. $12.99 - See more - Buy online

SSAA choir SKU: CA.964200 No. 1 from Three Marian Motets. Composed...(+)
SSAA choir SKU: CA.964200 No. 1 from Three Marian Motets. Composed by Ko Matsushita. Contemporary Choir Music. Sacred vocal music, Advent, Feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hymns in praise of the Virgin Mary. Full score. Carus Verlag #CV 09.642/00. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.964200). ISBN 9790007143510. Text language: Latin. Matsushita's composition draws on elements of the Gregorian antiphon. It begins in unison Gregorian chant, as was typical of Renaissance motets, and the beginning of new lines of text are also derived from Gregorian material. Matsushita juxtaposes a syllabic, rhythmic declamation with this melody, constantly alternating bars with even and odd numbers of beats, the octave C' - C'' constantly repeated by the outer parts and leading towards the climax at the text nomen Jesu. After ascending D major arpeggios, the central word Jesu radiates into F sharp major, the following repetition in the compass of an octave on C is more tranquil, ending peacefully with an F major chord, ppp. $6.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Solo voices, treble chorus,organ/Harmonium (Soprano solo (2), Alto solo, Female choir (3voices), Organ or Harmonium) - Level 2 SKU: BA.BA25151 Composed by Gabriel Faure. Edited by Helga Schauerte-Maubouet. This edition: urtext edition. Stapled. Barenreiter Urtext. Choral score. N 163. 12 pages. Baerenreiter Verlag #BA25151_00. Published by Baerenreiter Verlag (BA.BA25151). ISBN 9790006575176. 29.7 x 21 cm inches. Text Language: Latin. The motets and choral pieces, composed with the distinctive features of the Madeleine organ in mind, enchant with their colourful, floating harmonies and convey a certain intimacy even with their ritualized Latin texts. These works are very well suited for performances by small vocal ensembles. A novelty is the inclusion of the double bass part (ad libitum) which does not appear consistently in the first editions but corresponds to the musical practice at the Madeleine.
Numerous gems such as the “Cantique de Jean Racine†or the “Messe basse†are published in performing editions based on the musical text of the “Gabriel Faur – Å’uvres complètesâ€.

ST(A)BarB vocal soli, SST(A)TBarB choir, 2 flute, 2 oboe, 2 violin, 2 viola, cello/contra bass, bassoon, basso continuo SKU: CA.2100805 Psalm 125. Grand Motet. Composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau. Edited by Jean-Paul C. Montagnier. French Sacred Music. In Convertendo (Psalm 125). Sacred vocal music, Psalms, Latin. Choral Score. 16 pages. Duration 26 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 21.008/05. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.2100805). ISBN 9790007161439. Language: Latin. The three grands motets, Quam dilecta, In convertendo and Deus noster refugium, which Jean-Philippe Rameau composed from 1713 to 1715 are still relatively unknown today. Being performed in a concert spirituel in 1751, In Convertendo was poorly received; this failure long continued to pursue Rameau. Yet these masterworks are testimony to Rameau's great contrapuntal mastery and contain beautiful lyrical passages. Quam dilecta and Deus noster refugium have survived only in later sources which originated in about 1770, after Rameau's death, and the works have been rendered in a scoring which does not correspond to his intentions. The present new edition attempts for the first time to reconstruct them as closely as possible to their original form. The edition of In convertendo is based on Rameau's autograph score from 1751. Score available separately - see item CA.2100800. $8.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
