Choral TB chorus with Piano and optional Solos SKU: CF.CM9591 Composed by...(+)
Choral TB chorus with Piano and optional Solos SKU: CF.CM9591 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by Susan Thrift. Fold. Performance Score. 8 pages. Duration 1 minute, 37 seconds. Carl Fischer Music #CM9591. Published by Carl Fischer Music (CF.CM9591). ISBN 9781491154137. UPC: 680160912636. 6.875 x 10.5 inches. Key: Bb major. Italian. Gedicht Goldoni. Original. There is not a lot written about the history of La Pastorella by Austrias classical composer, Franz Schubert (17971828). An extremely prolific writer, Schubert died before his thirty-second birthday. With lyrics from the libretto Il filosofo di campagna by Carlo Goldoni (17071793), this simple, charming part song about a little shepherd girl, was originally written for four-part male chorus and piano and is believed to have been written sometime between 1813 and 1817. Be careful not to sing with too much weight in the voice so that you dont get bogged down in the sixteenth note runs. I would suggest speaking the Italian words in rhythm many times before singing them in rhythm. Once youve learned it, youll find it very rewarding to sing. Text: Helmina von Chezy. On 20 December 1823 Helmina von Chezy'sRosamundereceived its premiere performance at Vienna's Theater an der Wien. Unfortunately the Viennese version of this drama with ghosts, pirates, attempted poisonings and other horrifying ingredients has not survived - unlike Schubert's popular incidental music which also includes choruses and dances. This music was already highly praised by contemporary critics, with special acknowledgment given tothe genius of this much-loved master. As evidence of its popularity, the overture and theHunters' Chorushad to be encored at the premiere. Now Barenreiter is issuing one of Schubert's best-known compositions in a complete vocal score with piano reduction.

| Mass E-flat major D 950 Soli, Mixted choir and accompaniment [Score] Barenreiter

Soloists, Mixed choir, Orchestra SKU: BA.BA05576 Composed by Franz Schubert. Edited by Rudolf Faber. This edition: urtext edition. Paperback. Score. Baerenreiter Verlag #BA05576. Published by Baerenreiter Verlag (BA.BA05576). ISBN 9790006575954. 31 x 24.3 cm inches. Key: E-flat major. Text Language: Latin. We know relatively little about the genesis of Schubertâ??s Mass in E-flat major (D 950) which he completed in 1828, a few months before his death. The work was not performed during his lifetime and we can only speculate what might have caused the composer to write this Missa solemnis.
In the preface to this volume of the New Schubert Edition, editor Rudolf Faber assembles all documented facts. Furthermore, he focuses on the accents, which are such a characteristic element of Schubertâ??s autograph scores, and explains how Schubert used them in a very differentiated manner, in particular in the Mass in E-flat major. In order to do justice to these subtle differences, the New Schubert Edition has introduced a new symbol: an accent which is flexible with regard to its length and which makes it possible to visualize Schubertâ??s sophisticated employment of emphasis and accentuation.
The work is scored for large orchestra (without flutes), chorus, and one soprano as well as two tenors as soloists. In Schubertâ??s autograph the organ is not explicitly called for, but Ferdinand Schubert added an organ part for the posthumous premiere on 4 October 1829 at the Dreifaltigkeitskirche of Vienna Alservorstadt.

To strive for the highest in art - these are the words with which Franz Schubert announced his A flat major Mass in 1828, a work which he designated as Missa solemnis in his autograph. Alone the genesis of the work shows the importance which the composer placed on this work. Schubert wrote the score between 1819 and 1822, an unusually long period of time for him. He later fundamentally revised the mass when he applied for the post of Vice Court Kapellmeister in Vienna, which he did not obtain. After this disappointment, he rejected his original intent of dedicating the mass to the Emperor or Empress. Thanks to Peter Jost's Breitkopf Urtext edition, Schubert's Missa solemnis once again adds its luster to the publisher's catalogue: Breitkopf & Hartel published its final version in the Schubert Gesamtausgabe in 1887. Stuttgart Urtext Edition: Schubert. Sacred vocal music, Lent and Passiontide, Holy Week, Feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hymns in praise of the Virgin Mary. Full score. D 383. Duration 37 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 70.065/00. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.7006500). ISBN 9790007165994. Language: German. In spring 1816 Franz Schubert, just nineteen years old, completed his second setting of the Stabat Mater in the midst of a highly productive period. In contrast with his first setting written the previous year, just five minutes in length, this time Schubert used the German translation by Klopstock as the basis for his composition. Stefan Schuck's edition is the first one of this work to be based on a critical evaluation of the primary sources, with complete performance material. The work, in a dark F minor, with its text by Klopstock, places Jesus Christ, rather than Mary, at the center of the contemplation. With his fugues, but particularly in the eight-part lamenting chorus Wer wird Zahren sanften Mitleids, Schubert shows himself at the height of his creative output. He composed his 4th Symphony, the Tragic, at almost the same time. The Stabat Mater is a rewarding work for choral societies and choirs to perform, because the choir has the largest portion to sing, and the choral parts are not too demanding. The composition is also a beautiful introduction to the choral-symphonic music of Schubert for less experienced choirs. $83.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Previously Jost produced an equally exemplarily prepared edition of Schubert's E flat major Mass D 950.Wie immer bei Breitkopf ist das Satzbild der Neuausgabe der Zweitfassung in der Gestalt vorbildlich. Edited by Stefan Schuck. 1x 70.065/21 flute 1, 1x 70.065/22 flute 2, 1x 70.065/23 oboe 1, 1x 70.065/24 oboe 2, 1x 70.065/25 bassoon 1, 1x 70.065/26 bassoon 2, 1x 70.065/27 double bassoon, 1x 70.065/31 horn 1, 1x 70.065/32 horn 2, 1x 70.065/33 trombone 1, 1x 70.065/34 trombone 2, . Stuttgart Urtext Edition: Schubert. Harmony parts. Sacred vocal music, Lent and Passiontide, Holy Week, Feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hymns in praise of the Virgin Mary. Set of Orchestra Parts. D 383. Duration 37 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 70.065/09. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.7006509). ISBN 9790007244729. Score and parts available separately - see item CA.7006500. $82.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
