Each part of the melody is repeated, the first time with the simple Cantata phrasing and the second time from the ornamented Clavier Concerto. The end result is a beautiful melding of a piece of music from heaven for four part Trombone Ensemble. This work can be performed by moderately advanced musicians.

Frank Gazda has beautifully arranged four musical settings of the prayer for Trombone Quartet or four-part Trombone Ensemble by: Jacob Arcadelt (Renaissance), Johann Joseph Fux (Baroque), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Classical) and Giuseppe Verdi (Romantic).

Although originally composed as four-part choral settings, they work perfectly for the Trombone. Each piece stands on its own as a work of beauty, or the four can be performed as a whole. They are at a moderately advanced level of difficulty.

The English Suites are an early set of six suites written for harpsichord around 1718-1720. The name English has come from a claim that these works may have been composed for an English nobleman.
This very imaginative arrangement for Trombone Quartet by Mr. Burgstahler is appropriate for advanced performers and is in eight movements:
Prelude, Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Sarabande embellished (added by the arranger), Gavotte I, Gavotte II and Gigue.
This arrangement can be played in its entirety or even just a few of the movements, still with much satisfaction for the performers.

Number 1. is his most famous anthem, written in English as decreed by King Henry VI.
Number 2, also an anthem, but to be used during the Anglican communion service.
Number 3, Gloria Patri is a Doxology or short hymn of praise to God used by Catholics and high Anglicans.
These three short works total about 3 1/2 minutes in length.
The music is appropriate for moderately advanced performers, the first player should have a good high C (the first part is in tenor clef).

Jimbo's Lullaby is the second in a series of six pieces from Debussy's Children's Corner Suite. They are simple in style & light in character. The work is a depiction of a lullaby sung to a stuffed Elephant. This little gem of 3 1/2 minutes has been beautifully edited for advanced performers by Ralph Sauer for four Trombones. The bottom part, which features a great Elephant style solo, can be performed on Tuba, Contrabass or Bass Trombone.
