This collection is to be recommended as an addition to the current choral repertoire; it contains 19th-century a cappella music both Catholic and Protestant, with German and Latin words. There are short choral pieces in the straightforward chordal style, which impress with their homophonic writing, enabling the words to be understood clearly. This edition, rich in its variety, is especially valuable for small choirs, as it makes no severe demands on the performers; it also contains music for the Liturgy of the Mass and for each season of the Church Year.

Singfonie is more than a hodgepodge of scat syllables, motives, patterns and riffs in a largedesigned form. rather it attempts to unite traditional forms with modern styles. The achievements of past circle song and improvisational techniques are blended with the pure feeling for rhythms and joy in the pursuit of motivic development in the four movements, which are primarily for double choir. Thus, some rhythmic and motivic germ cells are to be rediscovered in various movements, including the pulsing and unfolding tone repetitions of the first and last movements. a new journey of discovery through the world of pop-choral singing. This selection enables unjustly neglected church choral music of the Cecilian Movement to be restored to use. The texts, all in Latin, reflect the Cecilian epoch from its beginnings in the early 19th century to the 20th century, and the generally easily performable nature of the music recommends it for use during church services. This choir book, representing the most important composers of the Cecilian Movement, provides a very valuable survey of the Cecilian repertoire.

With the unfinished revision (1739) as an appendix. The St. John Passion ranks among the great vocal works from Bach's Leipzig years. In contrast to his other large-scale choral works, however, Bach never gave this work a definitive final form. Rather, for every performance he made numerous changes. All previous editions of the St. John Passion have combined readings from various layers of sources. The wish often expressed by conductors to perform an authentic version is made possible for the first time with the present edition in this fourth and final version which was performed under Bach's direction in 1749. At the same time, with the aid of the appendix it is possible to perform the work in the traditional mixed version.. Score available separately - see item CA.3124500.

Since its original publication in 1971, A Community Mass has become a staple for many parishes. Due to its wide use and inclusion in various denominational hymnals, additional material and new instrumentations were periodically created by the composer. These enrichments have made A Community Mass adaptable to a variety of circumstances and forces-from cantor, assembly, and organ to performances by choir and assembly with small or large instrumental ensembles in addition to organ. Thus an ordinary setting is transformed into a festive setting in the appropriate liturgical context. The current edition contains Proulx's own alterations for incorporating the 2010 Revised Order of Mass.
