The original Yankee Doodle Dandy, George M. Cohan, was a major figure in the development of Broadway, but his classic tune never sounded so good! Master arranger Carl Strommen uses his creative harmonic language and perfect sense of jazz style to turn this Broadway march into a medium slow swing chart that uses the elements of the modern jazz ensemble to the fullest.
