This is a unique arrangement for panflute and piano, a work that preserves the beauty of the original work, an icon for classical music repertoire, but at the same time different in essence due to the creative and innovative flavour that was introduced in orchestration on this occasion. The piece has been carefully adapted to suit the technical needs of each instrument, being a smart choice for the players that want to achieve the acclaim from the audience. This piece of music is suitable both for concerts given by professionals and for auditions in schools, colleges, conservatories or can be used in various other private events.

- edition based on the autograph, from which Handel conducted the first performance - detailed foreword in three languages - critical Report with information about the source situation, the edition, and containing the individual readings (alternative readings, etc.) Great occasions call for great music The Dettingen Te Deum is a brilliant example of how Handel could capture the tone for festive occasions as had never been done before. The expression of the exalted character of this official work is imparted through Handel's express use of timpani and trumpets. Gentler and more serious movements effectively complement the work. The basis for the present critical edition of this work is the London autograph, which has survived and from which Handel probably conducted the first performance. In addition, the initial concluding version of the chorus Make them to be number'd has been published in this edition. In this version Handel strived for a more compact and stricter voice leading. Score and part available separately - see item CA.5528300.

Inspired by George Inness's 1855 painting The Lackawanna Valley, Anthracite Blaze depicts the tragic early 20th century mine fires that destroyed many boomtowns in that area of Pennsylvania. This piece is bold and sets the mood with a seriousness that will hold the attention of your students and audiences. This piece sounds far more sophisticated than it is technically to play.

A rhythmic composition in which the cells quaver / two semiquaver and two semiquaver / quaver are like a leitmotiv until the end of the Piece. The numerous triplets are a wink of Rhapsody in Blues from George Gershwin. My goal was to facilitate the listening, the exchange and the mimicry between the two associated players: no tandem (Temps d'M) without that!

Allegro Brillante is the first movement of Dragonland for band. The first performance (under the original title, A Short Symphony) was given by the L.E. Dieruff High School Concert Band, conducted by Raymond S. Becker, Jr., on April 21, 1978. The work was subsequently revised, and first performed in its new version by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Symphony Band, conducted by Donald S. George, on November 23rd, 1980. Allegro Brillante is the first movement of four. The music is almost profligate in its tunefulness, quick to change tack and tempo, and will benefit from an interpretation of headstrong abandon. ,I want to make an edition that is not a Koopman interpretation, but contains only that which Handel really wrote.' (Ton Koopman)
ISBN 9790004332009. 9 x 12 inches.
Ton Koopman's new edition of all 16 organ concertos by Handel has drawn to a close. The quality of this edition has been highly praised from all quarters. Source-critical responsibility goes hand in hand with a high level of performance practice when Koopman provides interpretative tips for the ad libitum passages in the organ part without restricting the creativity of the interpreter who is interested in stylistic matters and prefers to work out his own solutions. I want to make an edition that is not a Koopman interpretation, but contains only that which Handel really wrote. Nevertheless, there are occasional performance suggestions in small print which are elucidated in the Critical Commentary. (Ton Koopman in Concerto) Koopman offers a basically unmarked text, thus leaving the performance details up to the performer. Especially note-worthy is the clear printing, extensive preface and detailed Critical Notes. (Katholische Kirchenmusik) Whoever wishes to hear the entire Koopman edition on CD can look forward to the new recording by Christian Schmitt and the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester (Brilliant Classics). This is the first recording for which all 16 new Koopman editions were used as the basis for the performance.,I want to make an edition that is not a Koopman interpretation, but contains only that which Handel really wrote.'
