Editio Musica Budapest is launching a new series entitled Musica da camera. As its very general title indicates, the publishers' intention is that the volumes in this series, which is designed specifically for music school students, will include works composed for chamber ensembles of every kind, from the trio to the sextet. The first two volumes contain mostly transcriptions for three and four flutes respectively, selected from every period of music history from the late Renaissance to the present day. This publication is printed on high-quality, age-resistant paper that is produced in an environmentally-friendly, climate-neutral manner using renewable raw materials.

Bereits dieser sehr allgemeine Titel zeigt an, dass in die Bände dieser neuen Serie den Wünschen des Verlags entsprechend Werke für Kammerensembles der unterschiedlichsten Besetzung - vom Trio bis zum Sextett - aufgenommen werden. The volume contains selected transcriptions from well-known sets that Bartók wrote for children and young people: For Children, Children's and Female Choruses, 44 Duos and Mikrokosmos. Some are based on folk melodies and some on original themes. The volume consists of 16 pieces. In nine, the bottom part is set for alto flute. The collections serve to draw music students into the realm of a great genius of 20th-century music, while concurrently introducing them to the basic techniques of playing chamber music.

George Frederic Handel's world famous Water Music was actually first performed on water: On the 22nd of August 1715 a boat with musicians accompanied the sovereign King George I. and his Royal household on a boat trip down the Thamses from Whitehall to Limehouse. During the return trip they played for the very first time a Suite from the Water Music. Two more Musical trips took place on 17th and 19th of July 1717. This Arrangement for four flutes combines the most famous movements into an individual Suite. Occasional divisi-passages are optional.
