Eine der grossen Erscheinungen am Beginn jener Epoche welche durch technische Erfindungen das Leben der Menschen auf der ganzen Erde grundlegend verandert hat ist Leonardo da Vinci. Mit entwickeltem naturwissenschaftlichen Denken hat er eingegriffen in diese gewaltigen und gewaltsamen Prozesse. Scharf und energisch hat er - neben seinen kunstlerischen Hervorbringungen und gleichzeitig mit ihnen - Beitrage erbracht zu verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen. Aber schon am Anfang dieser Entwicklung des Denkens und Forschens hat er auch Bedenklichkeiten gesehen und diese in sogenannten ,,Prophezeiungen zusammengestellt: einer unsystematischen Folge von Aphorismen zu mannigfaltigen Erscheinungen menschlicher Wirksamkeiten und Verhaltensweisen. Einige dieser Gedanken habe ich ausgewahlt und als Textvorlage fur eine A-cappella-Vertonung eingerichtet.

1.,,Von den Bombarden die aus der Grube und der Grussform kommen: Nachdrucklich und wiederholt von Mal zu Mal auf hoherer Tonstufe wird deklamiert ,,Da wird aus der Erde etwas kommen...
2. ,,Vom Grasmahen: Der Gedanke da Vincis wird gesungen auf die Melodie des Liedes ,,Es ist ein Schnitter heisst der Tod. Der Text dieses alten Totentanzreigens wird in einem daruber liegenden Tonsatz als Kontrafaktur zur alten Melodie deklamiert.
3. ,,Von den Eiern die keine Kucken hervorbringen konnen weil sie gegessen werden: Diese durch Verfremdung gewonnene Haltung gegenuber dem Phanomen Leben wird vom Frauenchor und einer solistischen Frauenstimme gesungen.
4. ,,Von der Grausamkeit des Menschen: Gewaltsamkeiten achtloser Umgang mit der Erde und dem Himmel werden benannt daraus resultierende Verhangnisse aber auch Fragen an die Erde als ein reagierendes Lebewesen werden formuliert.
