Christmas hymn by James Montgomery & Henry T. Smart Larry Shackley has taken this Christmas hymn and its tune Regent Square, and done a full-bore gospel treatment, inviting everyone to Come and worship Christ, the newborn King. A solid, swinging piano introduction sets the stage for Brooklyn Tabernacle-style vocal writing, with the basses frequently involved in lively call and response with the rest of the choir. An original bridge asking the congregation, Oh, won't you come and worship? leads into the triumphant final verse that celebrates the second coming of the Messiah as well as the first.

Piece of contest (1946) by Andre Chailleux was written for the Paris Conservatoir contest. Lasting 5'25 minutes, this piece for Cornet or Bb Trumpet and Piano is difficult to play and quite slow. Starting with the Piano on four measures, this work has two distinctive periods: Slow and Allegro. The Piano plays alone during eight or ten measures to emphasise the coming back of the Cornet / Trumpet. This piece will demonstrate well the skills and technique of the player during a contest, or even a recital..

Original anthem In the tradition of Joel Raney's top-selling Christmas anthems Christmas Is Coming and Somebody Build a Manger, this SATB original is an up-tempo seasonal celebration. The optional handbell and instrumental parts add lots of sparkle to this jazzy setting. Strains of the familiar We Three Kings are introduced as the piece reaches a rousing, pull-out-all-the-stops conclusion. The Orchestration contains a Conductor's Score and parts for: Harp, Flute, Trumpet, French Horn, Violin, Cello, Bass, Percussion, and Handbells.
