Measure 18 should have a lighter feel than the beginning, with the snare drum playing the part of the rail cars going over the tracks. Be sure to pay attention to the accents in the trumpet, xylophone and snare drum lining up with the accents played by the rest of the ensemble. At m. 55, the xylophone should ring out and should be played with intention. At m. 71, the piece returns to a marcato style, and remains until the end of the piece. There are a few sudden dynamic changes that are crucial for effect, so pay close attention to those changes.

The performance material of the pioneering completion of Mozart's great Missa in cK. 427 by the Dutch musicologist Clemens Kemme is now completed with a choral score. The reconstruction, seen by many international experts as the most convincing solution, especially in the double-choir Sanctus fugue, thus becomes affordable for larger choirs. The compact and clearly arranged choral score is also considerably lighter than the piano vocal score; cue notes provide good orientation within the work.

This edition represents the culmination of some eleven or so years of extensive research. It brings an exhaustive understanding of eighteenth-century practices and Mozart's stylistic habits to bear on the unfathomable task of replicating Mozart's style without impinging upon the tone of the work. Kalevi Aho (b. 1949) composed Violin concerto No. 2 in late summer and early autumn 2015 for the Finnish violinist Elina Vahala. Lasting about 32 minutes, the second concerto is a large-scale virtuoso work dominated by the soloist. The strong-featured first movement (Allegro) begins with a fairly short orchestral introduction that is followed by the soloist's first vigorous statement. Around the middle of the movement is a cadenza, and the movement ends with a quick stretta. The soloist dominates the events in the slow second movement (Adagio) even more than it did in the first. The Adagio begins with the same opening motif for the soloist as the first movement, but this time the motif is more lyrical and singing. Having built up to a dramatic climax, it subsides on flageolet notes and finally sounds that are somewhere between musical notes and noise. The third movement (Vivace, leggiero) is by nature dance-like again and lighter than the previous ones. At the end, the tempo accelerates to a wild, virtuosic prestissimo.
