Each volume in the Step by Step series contains 14 structured lessons, a DVD (Volume 1 only) and 2 CDs. The aim of this book is to provide all beginners with an opportunity to have fun whilst learning to play their instrument. The 2 CDs contain performances of each piece to demonstrate how it should be done, along with play along tracks. The separate piano accompaniment book that is available for live performances also helps to develop the listening and interactive skills required for playing as part of an ensemble. Throughout the clearly presented lessons the student will find entertaining pieces, games and other activities which reinforce the area of learningwithin the lesson. Step by Step, together with the DVD, demonstrates the more practical aspects of playing and is a comprehensive and innovative method designed to achieve the theoretical and technical knowledge required for playing. Due to the fact that Step by Step proceeds at a slow place it is an ideal method for younger learners or those who need to progress at a more gradual rate. Step by Step - A definitive method covering all aspects of learning to play.

I met Fausto Romitelli in the early Eighties, while he was still studying composition with Umberto Rotondi at the Conservatory in Milano. Though he was very young, he already showed the signs of a strong and unconventional personality. In a more specific way, besides a very strong bias towards instrumental experimentation, I was impressed by his irresistible urge to explore routes that areunrelated or even contradictory with reference to the rules resulting from the styles and aesthetics of structuralism. So, it seemedto me very natural that he should write music for me: Dia nykta was composed in the wake of a verse written by an ancient Greek poet. The world premiere occurred in Milano on the 18th of December 1983, as part of the concert season of Musica rara at the theatre La Commenda. Anna Maria Morini.

Flute Duration: 3'49 Composed: 1986 Published by: Calabrese Brothers Music Being for Solo Flute (1986), by Helmut Christoferus Calabrese, is a work that develops its themes while rests increase in duration until the flute reaches the sparse middle section. Following the climactic statements, a return to a transformed recapitulation ends the solo on a hesitant high B note which is a metaphorical ending note.
