Sondra K. Tucker has written the impassioned Seasons of Life, for three to five octaves of handbells. This memorial piece is both hauntingly beautiful and powerfully life-affirming. Though marked a level four, most choirs capable of ringing a level three piece ought to be able to work this one up with a modest effort, and the result will be well worth it. Mallets and singing bell are used sparingly throughout, but always to good effect. Perfect for a memorial service or general use. 3-5 octaves level 4.

Original Composition This dynamic original composition for 3-6 octave handbells, was commissioned by The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Composer Michael Joy took the school's motto, Courage for the deed and grace for the doing, as inspiration. The outer sections portray courage as strong and bold. The quieter center section describes grace as both gentle and passionate. This piece is suitable for concerts, festivals, and church services.

Arranged for 3 to 5 octave handbell choir. Level 3-. Jason Krug's arrangement of this little-known Puerto Rican carol is a treat for ringer and listener alike. An impassioned opening figure gives way to the melody, underscored by full chords. A second verse, accompanied by a dance-like chordal figure, sets the stage for the return of the opening theme, which then gives way to a joyous final verse, accompanied by a malleted bass figure. A wonderful choice for the group looking for something different this holiday season.

Written for 4 to 7 octave handbell choir. Level 5. Karen Lakey Buckwalter's masterful original composition is infused with lush, chromatic chords throughout. A yearning and haunting melody passes on to moving eighth note triplet arpeggios which propel the piece forward. The original melody then returns in a more complex and fleshed-out form, before more triplets once more push the piece ahead. A final section marked With Fire! drives the piece to its final, resounding conclusion. A true tour de force suitable for any ensemble looking for a musical challenge.
