SATB vocal soli, SATB choir, congregation, 2 violins, viola, cello, contrabass, organ SKU: CA.5040513 Chorale cantata. Composed by Max Reger. Edited by Gunther Massenkeil. German title: O wie selig seid ihr doch. Sacred vocal music, Mourning, death. Single Part, Viola. Composed 1903. Op. WoO V/4 Nr. 2. 2 pages. Duration 15 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 50.405/13. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.5040513). ISBN 9790007081737. Key: D minor. Language: German/English. The choral cantatas are Reger's most personal and most substantial contribution to one of the principal categories of Protestant church music, and they are only major works in this field by one of the foremost composers of his time. This is true despite the fact that Reger himself does not appear to have considered the cantatas to figure among his principal compositions, as he gave them no opus numbers. In contrast to the three other chorale cantatas of Reger which exist in a definitive form, there is no record of the place or date of the first performance of O wie selig, or indeed of any performance of it during the composer's lifetime. Score and part available separately - see item CA.5040500. $3.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Choral (SATB) SKU: HL.2050288 Praise Gathering Choral. Easter. Softcover. Duration 3300 seconds. PraiseGathering #A08438. Published by PraiseGathering (HL.2050288). UPC: 797242287190. 6.75x10.5x0.311 inches. Jesus, the King. Jesus, King of the Ages. Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords. The Royalty of Jesus - the only Son of God - the Firstborn over all creation - is woven into the very fabric of the Scriptures. He is a Lamb with the lineage of a Lion. He is a pauper with the unsearchable riches of an inexhaustible Kingdom. He is a Man with no home whose Eternal Throne rests in the Courts of Praise. He is a teacher with no formal credentials who is the Creator of all Knowledge. No one can ever lay claim to His unique station as Savior of the World. And yet, Christ Jesus . . .Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in Heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6-11)This is the story of our redemption. This is the story of the miracle of our moving from the bloodline of Adam to the bloodline ofChrist. Only one figure in all of history could have accomplished this. This is His story...Jesus, No Other King! $13.99 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 24 hours - In Stock

Orchestra SATB vocal soli, SATB choir, 2 recorders, 2 oboes, 3 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, timpani, 2 (3) violins, 2 violas, cello, basso continuo SKU: CA.5507549 Ode. Version of the first performance and version of 1751. Composed by George Frideric Handel. Edited by Felix Loy. This edition: urtext. Stuttgart Urtext Edition: Handel. Organ. Innovative practice aids, Sacred vocal music, Oratorios. Single Part, Organ. Composed 1736/1751. HWV 75. 60 pages. Duration 85 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 55.075/49. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.5507549). ISBN 9790007171315. Text language: German/English. For the magnificent opening of the oratorio season at the beginning of 1736 Handel presented a composition which, like hardly any of his other oratorios, gave him the opportunity to display his musical artistry: John Dryden's ode Alexander's Feast or the Power of Music, published in 1696, demonstrates the power of music by the example of the ancient hero, Alexander the Great. From the impressive lament on the death of Darius, the King of Persia, to the boisterous Praise of Bacchus Handel avails himself of the entire breadth of the musical representation of the emotions and the possibilities for expression. In the text by Newburg Hamilton added at the end of work St. Cecilia elevates the events of the ancient heathen story, which Handel expressed in plastic, skillful polyphony. Later, this homage to the patron saint of church music, Handel also present the opportunity to perform the work on St. Cecilia's Day (22 November). For the first time the present new edition is based consistently on Handel's conducting score, which he used for his own performances of the oratorio, thus not only eliminating timeworn errors, but also offering clarity concerning the choruses, the arias and recitatives, actually performed in Handel's concerts, as well as their sequence of performance. The new Carus edition offers two performance versions: the version of the premiere in 1736, as well as a revised version from 1751. Furthermore, the inclusion of the Concerto for Harp HWV 294 (CV 55.294) is also possible; Handel composed this work especially for Alexander's Feast (as an illustration of Timotheus, the ancient poet who played the lyre). For this purpose the edition contains the appropriate alternatives for the sequence of the movements. | Valse Triste Violin and Piano - Easy EMB (Editio Musica Budapest)
Violin and Piano - Grade 3 SKU: BT.EMBZ810 Composed by Ferenc Vecsey. Boo...(+)
Violin and Piano - Grade 3 SKU: BT.EMBZ810 Composed by Ferenc Vecsey. Book Only. Composed 1952. 6 pages. Editio Musica Budapest #EMBZ810. Published by Editio Musica Budapest (BT.EMBZ810). English-German-Hungarian. Ferenc Vecsey (1893-1935) was one of the greatest virtuoso violinists of the early twentieth century. He was soon noticed as a child prodigy, and after his early violin lessons from his father, he became a pupil of Hubay. His first known public appearance was at the age of 6 in Tátraszéplak (Tatranská Polianka), and a few years later in Berlin he made his debut abroad. There he heard the elderly maestro József Joachim, who was astonished at the talented boy's playing. So started the young Vecsey's performing career: he gave a dozen or so concerts in Germany, then followed a series of concert tours all over the world (in 1906 in Spain, Bartók was his accompanist). From1907, his permanent place of residence between concerts was Berlin, where he began to study harmony and counterpoint. Soon he began composing himself, mainly writing virtuoso pieces for his own concerts, of which the Valse triste became the most famous. Other musicians were also happy to include this short character piece in their programmes.Vecsey later settled in Italy. He died unexpectedly at the young age of 42. $9.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Orchestra SKU: HL.51489068 Study Score. Composed by Franz Joseph Haydn. Edited by Horst Walter. Henle Music Folios. Classical. Softcover. 85 pages. G. Henle #HN9068. Published by G. Henle (HL.51489068). UPC: 840126951967. 6.75x9.5x0.278 inches. Haydn arrived in London at the beginning of February 1794 for his second stay in England. Two movements of the Symphony in G major Hob. I:100 had already been completed by then, and the finished work was premiered on 31 March. The trumpet fanfare in the second movement and the use of “janissary†percussion gave the symphony its nickname “Military Symphony,†which Haydn himself even used. Its success in London was enormous; in 1794/95 alone, the work was performed nine times and thus quickly became one of the most popular Haydn symphonies of all time. To everyone wishing to become more acquainted with this symphony, let this inexpensive study edition be commended - with reliable commentaries on its genesis, sources, and edition as well as an unassailable musical text taken from the Haydn Complete Edition. He wrote a second, this time longer, double piano concerto the following year. In December 1823, the young composer gave the first performance of the E major concerto with his sister Fanny Mendelssohn. Since he came to regard it as mere juvenilia, it never achieved publication in his lifetime. Filled with stylish finger-work, the concerto clearly served to display the musical gifts of the two siblings. It remained forgotten until a version, which had been revised by the composer himself and edited by Karl-Heinz Köhler, surfaced in 1961 in a Leipzig critical edition. Instrumentation: 1.2.2.2: 2.2.0.0: Timp: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set): Solo pianos (2 - available separately). These products are currently being prepared by a new publisher. | Witness for the Fallen Choral SATB SATB divisi, A Cappella Laurendale Associates
SATB choir divisi (a cappella) - Beginning SKU: MN.CH-1299 Composed by Ch...(+)
SATB choir divisi (a cappella) - Beginning SKU: MN.CH-1299 Composed by Charles Kulis. Octavo. Laurendale Associates #CH-1299. Published by Laurendale Associates (MN.CH-1299). Witness For The Fallen was written March of 2002, shortly after the tragedy of 9/11. Mr. Kulis was in the process of writing a piece for The Gregg Smith Singers for their annual composers reading in Saranac Lake, New York. In November of 2001 Mr. Kulis close friend, James Whelan, gave him a text in which Mr. Whelan wrote down his reactions to the incidents of 9/11. Mr. Whelan had witnessed so much of what happened that day from an office in a building near Grand Central Station. Initially, Mr. Kulis had no intention of using the text for the compositions he was writing. However, he found himself coming back to the text time after time while writing and ultimately made the decision to use the text. The music he wrote is tonal and straightforward. The opening section is underlined by an F major chord sung by sopranos and altos with a simple melodic line sung by the tenors. The harmony is full of fourths, major sevenths and ninths. It has a distinctly American sound. Witness For The Fallen was recorded and released by the Gregg Smith Singers in 2007. $2.50 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 1 to 2 weeks

We all have experienced devotion at varying levels of intensity within our lives. Sometimes it is temporary, but in other cases it is lasting and perhaps even permanent.Devotion can be directed toward an idea, a purpose, plan, pet or person, a concept, a sport or hobby, a philosophy, or a feeling or relationship, but we all have known it in some measure. It can be so pathetically shallow as devotion to an object or possession, but its highest expression is found in devotion to the most noble of lasting and eternal values and in pursuit of knowing the awesome Creator of the universe- - - God himself. Hopefully, these piano pieces will inspire a greater measure of devotion from each of us. $17.99 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 1 to 2 weeks

Violin Duet SKU: BT.EMBZ8507 By Arpad Pejtsik. By Antonio Vivaldi. EMB Early Chamber Music. Book Only. Composed 1980. 40 pages. Editio Musica Budapest #EMBZ8507. Published by Editio Musica Budapest (BT.EMBZ8507). English-German-Hungarian. As far as we know Vivaldi wrote twenty trio sonatas. Several of these works are actually for two parts, as the continuo merely doubles one of the two solo instruments. In the titles of four of these trio sonatas ('Suonata da camera, a 2 violini anco senza basso se piace', meaning if desired the sonata can be played without the bass part) Vivaldi himself gave his approval to the omission of the third instrument. In the light of this, the present publication gives the four works in the form of violin duos.We recommend these three-movement sonatas, in a fast-slow-fast format, for violinists who are already advanced in their studies. 1. Orchestra (2.2.2.2 - 2.2.0.0 - timp - str) SKU: BR.PB-14610 Urtext based on the new Complete Edition (G. Henle Verlag). Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Edited by Armin Raab. Orchestra; Softbound. Partitur-Bibliothek (Score Library). The study score (,,Studien-Edition) is available at G. Henle Verlag. Symphony; Classical. Full score. 96 pages. Duration 35'. Breitkopf and Haertel #PB 14610. Published by Breitkopf and Haertel (BR.PB-14610). ISBN 9790004211144. 10 x 12.5 inches. Beethoven did not work continuously on this symphony and interrupted his work a couple of times. As the sketches show, he presumably wrote down first ideas in the autumn of 1800.No other autograph material has survived. As Ferdinand Ries, a pupil of Beethoven, bitterly reports, Beethoven gave him the autograph, but it was unfortunately stolen by a friend, out of pure friendship. In April 1803, the composition was premiered publicly, together with the first symphony and the third piano concerto with Beethoven himself as soloist. Although Beethoven's first two symphonies are still influenced by Haydn and Mozart, novelties can already be discovered. The second symphony starts breaking away from traditional forms and lets us surmise the monumentality of Beethoven's innovation. The editor, Armin Raab, critically illuminates the transmission of the work and its sources. He also clears up a wide spread belief in older literature, that this cheerful work might have been composed parallel to the Heiligenstadter Testament. The practical performance material by Breitkopf & Hartel is based on the music text of the New Beethoven Complete Edition and constitutes the authoritative reading of Beethoven research. $61.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 3 to 4 weeks
