Two settings of the Te Deum by Jan Dismas Zelenka have been survived: the Te Deum in D major ZWV 145 of ca. 1724 and the present Te Deum a due cori in D major ZWV 146, which was composed in 1731. Whereas the Te Deum ZWV 145 is scored for five voices (soli e tutti) and an orchestra including two trumpets and timpani, the setting of the Te Deum a due cori, which includes five soloists and two four-part choirs, as well as four trumpets and timpani, and soloistic flauti traversi is magnificently realized in a more decisive manner. The large, solemn scoring suggests that the work was composed for a worship service on the occasion of the birth of the Electoral Princess Maria Josepha of Saxony. Score and part available separately - see item CA.2719700.

Each book in series presents a composer trough a selection of brief pieces. The first volumes help the young pianist to become acquainted with the music of Händel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, J. S. Bach and Weber. Most of the works are dance movements, although some sonatinas or sonatas have also been included. All the books contain a variety of compositions easy to play but of undoubted musical value. The selection is the work of four well-known music pedagogues, Magda Csurka, Gábor Kováts, András Héra and József Sármai.

The present concerto, RV 762, is here published for the first time in its original key and in an edition based on an authoritative source. It is one of numerous concertos by Vivaldi known to have been played by Anna Maria, the most celebrated of the many remarkable performers produced by the Ospedale della Pietà , the Venetian charitable institution with which the composer was associated for much of his career. And yet it is, besides RV 286 in F major, the only violin concerto of his for which a source inscribed with the name of the virtuosa has survived complete.
