Bisogna quindi essere capaci di muovere entrambe le mani l’una indipendentemente dall’altra, ma in modo coordinato. This theoretical book is meant to improve contemporary jazz styles techniques for all musician players of modern jazz. We will divide this book into scale exercises, arpeggio exercises, jazz line phrases as well as contemporary chord progressions. Exercises consist of diatonic and chromatic exercises; and, line phrases, consist of jazz solos by great musicians such as Miles Davis, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Freddy Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Joe Farrel, Dave Liebman, Bob Berg, Michael and Randy Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Tom Harrel, Chris Potter, Brad Mehldau, Joey Calderazzo, Kenny Garrett, Branford Marsalis, Walt Weiskopf, Rich Perry, Seamus Blake, Alex Sipiagin and many other well known musicians these days. The majority of these exercises should be transposed to all twelve (12) tones, so we can achieve perfect coordination. Major chords, Minor chords and Dominant chords will be extended to their highest level, in scales, arpeggios and chromatic form. There will not be key signature centres, so we will work all exercises in accidental way. These exercises were made as an extension of my first book 'Improvise Now'. There are as well many improvisational lines transcribed from some of the previously mentioned musicians.

Commissioned by the French Government and Musica Strasbourg. As the title suggests, Trois rivières is divided into three separate sections. The first part introduces all the instrumental colours used in the piece. The rhythmic aspect is here nearly eliminated, giving room for the timbral scales, colours, resonances, attacks and textures to come to the fore. The instruments come from all members of the percussion family, but unpitched instruments are given a primary role. The second part adds a rhythmic aspect to the nuances of colour and texture, as an ostinato is developed in markedly varying directions. The last part is an epilogue, recalling components of the two preceding parts. Here, earlier aspects of the material are reorganised and placed in different relationships to each other. The voices of the percussionists act together as an extension of the instruments, being used to create either rhythmically free textures or strictly notated rhythms. They are treated instrumentally, combining to create rhythms and timbres. The poem 'La nuit de lune sur le fleuve' (Moonlit night on the river) by the Chinese poet Li Po (701-762) constitutes the material for the voices, which are amplified and further enhanced throughout.

This previously-unpublished Concerto a Quadro presumably started life as a concerto for the standard Baroque forces of flute, strings and continuo, now otherwise unknown; it is preserved in its surviving form for flute, violin, viola and cello in a set of manuscript parts apparently copied by an amateur musician in Sweden. Although unlikely to be the work of Handel, as a rare early example of music for flute quartet it is an attractive extension to a repertoire otherwise dominated by the works of Mozart and his contemporaries. In the present publication, editorial figuring in the cello part allows for the possibility of expanding the texture with additional continuo instruments.
