A unison carol in German and English scored for unison choir, two violins, and a viola. The strings provide a lot of movement. Very festive. The instrumental parts, which add a festive character to the piece, are flexible: three violins, flute and two violins, flute or violin, violin and viola. Since its original publication in 1971, A Community Mass has become a staple for many parishes. Due to its wide use and inclusion in various denominational hymnals, additional material and new instrumentations were periodically created by the composer. These enrichments have made A Community Mass adaptable to a variety of circumstances and forces-from cantor, assembly, and organ to performances by choir and assembly with small or large instrumental ensembles in addition to organ. Thus an ordinary setting is transformed into a festive setting in the appropriate liturgical context. The current edition contains Proulx's own alterations for incorporating the 2010 Revised Order of Mass.

French composer and teacher, Darius Milhaud (1892-1974) was a prolific composer of the 20th century as a member of 'Les Six'. His compositions remain highly regarded, Jacob's Dreams being no exception. Milhaud's compositions areinfluenced by jazz and polytonality, as exemplified in Jacob's Dreams. Composed in 1949, Jacob's Dreams is a dance suite, written for Oboe, Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass. It is an alternative, exciting suite, based on thedreams of Jacob in the Bible and made up of five movements - 1) Jacob's Pillow, 2) The first dream (the angel's ladder), 3) Prophecy, 4) Second dream (fight with the dark angel and benediction), and 5) Israel (Hymn). Milhaud makesuse of variation in articulation, complex rhythms, chromaticism, accidentals, harmonics, altering tempos, variation in dynamics and a wide tessitura, amongst other aspects. Milhaud's Jacob's Dream is essential to all advancedensembles seeking modern and exciting repertoire.

Lent/Easter Musical This 30-minute musical reflects on Jesus's ministry and life on earth, and looks at the monumental effect his name has had on history. Told through six choral anthems with narration this work traces Jesus' life from his first preaching to the final momentous events of his passion. The music is mostly original and covers a range of styles. Accompaniment can be provided by just piano, CD or ED Hogan's orchestration. The half-hour length makes it ideal for including in a worship service anytime during Lent, or Holy Week, and it would be particularly poignant on Palm Sunday.
