Hymn tune This setting of the hymn tune LOBE DEN HERREN captures the exuberant adoration expressed by the text of this popular hymn. It should be played with great energy and excitement to bring forth the praise contained in each stanza. The subdued second verse uses softer dynamics and mallets, and the partial third stanza employs chimes, providing a change of mood from the opening. A meter change, key change and quickened tempo combine to provide a vivid contrast, and bring the piece to its triumphant conclusion.
