Three Sound-Poems after Paintings by Andreas Willscher (2017) are dedicated to organist Philip Hartmann and the art-loving community of the Pauluskirche in Ulm, Germany. The music is inspired by three paintings by German composer (and artist) Andreas Willscher (b. 1955). The pieces take their musical shapes and colors from the specific details of the paintings. The three paintings represent different styles: a landscape, a religious theme, and an abstract. The first movement, Sonnenfeld (Sun Field), is inspired by a bright painting of the sun illuminating the green field behind the composer's small house in Sainte-Radegonde (Dordogne/Perigord, France). A resplendent and majestic section of full sun harmonies surrounds a middle section with more motion. The second movement, Gebet des Hl. Franziskus (Prayer of St. Francis), is inspired by a painting showing St. Francis of Assisi in prayer. Francis has been a frequent theme in Willscher's music since his appointment at a young age as organist of St. Francis Church in Hamburg. The third movement, Laetare (Rejoice), is inspired by an vibrant abstract painting comprised of bold colors. The alternation of the blocks of rich color are mirrored in the block harmonic shifts in the movement, which is a moto perpetuo, building towards the organ's fullest sounds. San Andreas Suite (2017) consists of four movements: The first movement, Carillon (in festo S. Andreae apostoli), is a carillon with an ostinato repeated pattern and an ever-changing series of harmonies. The harmonic intensity builds in the coda to hint at the rich and complex sonorities of bells. Versets on a Melody from Perigord comprises four versets on an old melody, Quel bru fai din lou chiel, which comes from the Perigord (Dordogne) region of France. The title of the third movement, Pastorale mit einem Orgelpunkt, means Pastorale with a pedal point, and the organ's lowest C sounds throughout. The low C is used as a harmonic generating source; the music above thus often explores sounds based on the harmonic series. The fourth movement, Toccata perigourdine, is an energetic toccata. Quoted in the slower middle section is an old melody also from Perigord. Instrumentation: Organ Duration: 19' Composed: 2017 Published by: Zimbel Press.

Chorale settings form a central part of Telemann's oeuvre. His 1754 setting of the church hymn Christus, der ist mein Leben, based on Melchoir Vulpius' melody from the Hamburg Hymnal, is especially well-suited to display his mastery in depicting the words of the chorale. The so-called Ausfullungsbass (a vocal bass added to the principal bass in tutti passages) was probably necessitated by the acoustical properties of Hamburg's churches. This is the first Urtext edition of this highly successful chorale setting which is based on Georg Philipp Telemann Musical Works. The score contains a realisation of the continuo part.* First Urtext edition based on Georg Philipp Telemann Musical Works* An attractive addition to the repertoire with a view to the Telemann Year 2017* Bilingual Foreword (Ger/Eng)* Uncluttered idiomatic piano reduction.

The oldest extant organ music manuscripts in Transylvania date from the end of the 17th century and are attributableto Daniel Croner. During his student years, Croner compiled two organ tablature books, one in Breslau in 1681, theother in Wittenberg in 1682, a third, supposedly compiled in Kronstadt in 1675 and a fourth book, dating from 1685. The manuscripts are in good condition. They are written inGerman organ tablature and contain works by Croner as weil as by other contemporaries.

Triptych in honorem Gustav Willscher (2017) is dedicated to Andreas Willscher in celebration of the writing of his Troppauer Musiklexicon. Gustav Willscher (born 1882 in Meltsch bei Troppau/Sudentenschleisen and died 1937 in Vienna) was in his time a very successful poet, writer, and composer. In addition to his musical talents (he played several instruments, among others the piano and guitar), he also created a collection of drawings. He was the grandfather of composer and organist Andreas Willscher. The outer movements, Silesian Prelude and Troppauer Postlude, refer to his cultural heritage, and each quote a musical theme by Gustav Willscher. The second movement, Minuet, refers obliquely to Vienna, the city in which Willscher died. Instrumentation: Organ Duration: 10' Composed: 2017 Published by: Zimbel Press.

Sonatina No. 4 (2017) for organ is dedicated to German organists Andreas Willscher (Hamburg), Hartmut Siebmanns (Possneck), and Philip Hartmann (Ulm). The titles of the three movements reflect these German cities. The first movement is a bright, festive march. The second movement is an atmospheric aria. A wide-ranging lyric melody unfolds over an ostinato accompaniment. In the third movement, the opening triple meter fanfare gesture is developed throughout alongside a march-like descending figure, referring back to the first movement. The Sonata in B minor undoubtedly is the most important piano composition by Franz Liszt and a pinnacle of piano literature. The creation of the work around 1850 coincides with the period in which Liszt concentrated on the organ and its possibilities of sound and expression as well as on the music by Johann Sebastian Bach. Liszt composed several works for organ himself and arranged both some of his own works and works by other composers for this versatile instrument. While working on the arrangement, Andreas Rothkopf acted on the maxim to stay close to the original work with its finely nuanced texture and find his own tonal language appropriate for the organ on the basis of Liszt. For a better understanding of the arrangement, the interpreter may want to have a profound knowledge of the original piano text.
