A powerfully emotive choral work written in honour of the UK health and care workers who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The text comprises their names, each sung separately in turn, in a poignant and moving homage. At first I thought I would have the clarinet doing the billing and the flute doing the cooing, then I reversed it, and finally mixed it up, so that I can't even tell what's what. The piece is playful and radiates gentle affection..
