The original version of Bryce Dessner 's To The Sea was premiered on 2nd November 2011 during the 'Monstrance' installation, in collaboration with Matthew Ritchie, at L & M Arts Los Angeles. The Belgian composer and conductor Kurt Bikkembergs (*1963) has added to the repertoire for women's choir again: With 'The Maiden and the Sea' based on a text by Rene Geldof, he presents a revised and translated English version of his work 'Het meisje en de zee' written in 1994.
