| Do Not Go My Love Choral 3-part SSA, Piano Carl Fischer
Choral SSA Choir and Piano SKU: CF.CM9704 Composed by Richard Hageman. Ar...(+)
Choral SSA Choir and Piano SKU: CF.CM9704 Composed by Richard Hageman. Arranged by Stephen Rotz. Jbc. 12 pages. Duration 2 minutes, 49 seconds. Carl Fischer Music #CM9704. Published by Carl Fischer Music (CF.CM9704). ISBN 9781491160114. UPC: 680160918713. Key: F# minor. English. Sir Rabindranath Tagore. Richard Hageman (1881-1966) was a born into a family of musicians. As a pianist, he performed concerts from the age of six, and his mastery of this instrument is evident in the intricate accompaniment of this piece. After coming to America, (originally as accompanist to touring French singer Yvette Guilbert), he worked for a period of years as a conductor and pianist for the Metropolitan Opera in New York. It was during this period of time that he composed Do Not Go, My Love for solo voice, originally dedicating it to the operatic tenor, George Hamlin. Hageman's later career included work in Hollywood, first as a conductor, but later as a film-score composer and actor. Do Not Go, My Love is well-known among classical soloists, and many recordings exist. The SSA version of this American standard brings a vocal classic to younger singers who might not yet possess the dexterity to perform the original solo. Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was an Indian polymath; someone who possesses deep knowledge and understanding of many disparate subjects. Tagore's expertise included the visual arts, music, and poetry. Tagore won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913, contributing to his receiving knighthood from King George V in 1915, but Tagore renounced his knighthood after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. There are five Tagore museums in Bangladesh and three in India; at least three universities bear his name. Do Not Go, My Love is taken from The Gardener, a collection of poems translated from Bengali by Tagore and published in 1915. Number 34 in the collection, and taken by itself, the poem might be interpreted as someone watching over the deathbed of a lover or child; however, the larger narrative woven through The Gardener suggests a romantic relationship being clung to by the speaker.  . | Sonata Op. 18 No. 2 for Harp Harp Ut Orpheus
Harp SKU: UT.MAG-221 Composed by Martin-Pierre Dalvimare. Edited by Anna ...(+)
Harp SKU: UT.MAG-221 Composed by Martin-Pierre Dalvimare. Edited by Anna Pasetti. Saddle stitching. Magadis. Classical. Ut Orpheus #MAG 221. Published by Ut Orpheus (UT.MAG-221). ISBN 9790215318625. 9 x 12 inches. Martin-Pierre Dalvimare, born in 1770, in Dreux (Eure-et-Loir), from a distinguished family, learnt music as an entertainment art, and was obliged to make it a resource for his existence, after the troubles of the Revolution in 1789. He had acquired a remarkable talent for the harp; when he arrived in Paris he made a very good impression. Then, man of the world, knowledgeable in many fields, which is rare for a musician, he was welcome everywhere, and very soon came in friendly terms with some of the most renowned artists and men of letters of his times. The marriage certificate of the poet Legouve (15 pluviose of the year XI, or February 1803, 12th municipality of Paris), shows that Dalvimare was one of his best men and that at the time he was thirty-two years old. He became harpist of the Opera in the year VIII (1800), and was definitively confirmed in the month of fructidor of the year IX. At the time of the institution of the emperor Napoleon's private music, M. Dalvimare was appointed as his harpist. In September 1807 he obtained the title of harp master of the empress Josephine. A lucky change of his fortune allowed this artist to renounce to practise his talent for living, he resigned from all of his positions on March, 12th, 1812, and he retired in Dreux, where he still was living in 1837. For a peculiar weakness, he does not like to speak about his artist career, which had been entirely honourable, and he would like to forget his success too. His first composition was a symphonie concertant for harp and horn, which he composed with Frederic Duvernoy, and published in the year VII (1798); notwithstanding, he counted as his first opus a collection of romances with accompaniment of piano or harp, which he later published with Pleyel.
In 1809 Dalvimare composed, for the theatre Feydeau, a one-act opera-comique called The Marriage for Imprudence. The music was weak; the work did not succeed, and people used to say that the greatest imprudence had been the one of the authors who had it performed. Nevertheless, the score of this opera was published in Paris by erard. (Francois-Joseph Fetis). $21.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 3 to 4 weeks

Composed in 1823 but not performed during his lifetime, Franz Schubert’s Fierabras is a “number opera†with spoken dialogue in the manner of opra comique. It is based on the medieval legends associated with Charlemagne, including that of Eginhard and Emma, and draws on the old French heroic epic (chanson de geste). Emma, the daughter of Charlemagne secretly loves the knight Eginhard who is not befitting of her rank. The heathen Moorish prince Fierabras who, after being defeated by Charlemagne, falls into French captivity and converts to Christianity, is also in love with Emma. His sister Florinda on the other hand loves the Franconian knight Roland who is being held prisoner by the Moors and whom she helps to escape. After several military conflicts where Charlemagne’s army finally conquers the Moors, the lovers reunite. Only Fierabras who is reprieved, renounces his love and accepts the liaison between Emma and Eginhard.

| A Different Forest Piano solo Bosworth

Piano SKU: HL.302930 Piano. Composed by Hauschka. Piano. Classical. Softcover. 80 pages. Bosworth & Co. #BOE7935. Published by Bosworth & Co. (HL.302930). UPC: 888680967734. Known professionally as Hauschka, composer Volker Bertelmann has catapulted himself into the top tier of instrumental composers. This is proven, not least, by the Oscar nomination which he received for his soundtrack to the 2016 film Lion. In his latest album A Different Forest, released on 8 February 2019 at Sony Classical, Hauschka takes the forest as a contrast to the urban life. The names of the pieces, such as 'Talking To My Father', testify equally that those natural experiences are metaphorical of the important things in life. For this album Hauschka renounces entirely his prepared Piano. The existential questions which he musically poses, however, do not lose their intensity, but rather, without the alienation by electronic elements, gain urgency. In addition to the 13 LP tracks, this songbook for Piano also contains three exclusive arrangements of previously unreleased songs: 'Collecting Stones', 'Loosing Directions' and 'Misty Day'. $30.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

In addition to the 13 LP tracks, this songbook for Piano also contains three exclusive arrangements of previouslyunreleased songs: 'Collecting Stones', 'Loosing Directions' and 'Misty Day'.
In seinem neusten Album A Different Forest“ am 08.
$31.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
