Giuseppe Torelli was born in Verona, Italy in 1658. He was a famous violinist, teacher, and composer. His career allowed travels to Germany and Vienna, but centered in Bologna, Italy, where he was a violinist and violist in the Accademia Filarmonica and later, worked as a musician at the Basilica San Petronio. Torelli was an especially important figure in the development of the instrumental concerto, with particular emphasis on both the solo concerto and concerto grosso forms.The Sinfonia in D Major (G21) is a piece originally scored for one or two trumpets, first and second solo violins, first and second ripieno violins, solo viola, ripieno viola, violoncello ripieno, violoncello continuo, violone ripieno, and organo.The exact date of the composition is not known, but the work is presumed to have been completed in the latter period. This edition is based on the autograph manuscript located in the musical archives at the Basilica San Petronio in Bologna, Italy.

It is now more than 40 years since Mike Longworth published his seminal book on the Martin Guitar Company. It was Mike's book that stirred Greig Hutton's original interest in Martin guitars and it put him on the path to seeking more information and insights. Martin Guitars: A History became the first of a long list of books that have continuously expanded the information available for the Martin instruments. This book will not just recapitulate previous research; rather, it will build on earlier work while filling in gaps using source documents, as well as collating new information into tables and diagrams for ease of use. Although broadly based on a number of previous publications, none of this information was incorporated into the book without direct comparison to the source archival documents. This hefty tome includes 400 photos and forewords by Dick Boak, George Gruhn, and Joe Spann. There is certainly no one else on the planet that knows as much about the history of Martin guitars as Greig does, and I personally thank him for sharing his knowledge with those of us who are anxiously waiting to receive it! –Dick Boak.

In dulci jubilo is an ancient traditional Christmas carol that first appeared around 1400 in Germany. Lisa Albrecht's beautiful arrangement for Trombone quartet is based on the 1837 setting by Robert Pearsall, the one of the favored by many choirs and their organists. The melody was so popular that many composers have tried their hand at arranging it including Buxtehude, Bach, Liszt and Dello Joio.
This arrangement of about 3 minutes can be performed by intermediate to advanced players. Trombone I is in tenor clef and the rest of the parts are in bass clef and can be performed by intermediate level players.

Lara Poe's (b. 1993) energetic Divergence (2015-2016) for string quartet was conceived cyclically: the four movements explore drifting in and out of focus between different materials. A light ditty of the second movement diverges to the third movement's overtone derived chords.Duration: c. 25'This product includes a set of parts (violin I, violin II, viola, violoncello) and a score.Lara Poe is a Finnish-American composer who is currently based in London. Her works have been performed across a wide range of venues throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. Her piece Kaamos, which she wrote for the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, was recently nominated for a Ivors Composer Award in the Large Scale Composition category. Kaamos also was selected by YLE Radio Finland to represent Finland at the International Rostrum of Composers 2021 in Belgrade, Serbia. Poe was the 2019 Tanglewood Music Patricia Plum Wilde Fellow and represented Finland at Ung Nordisk Musik 2019 in Piteå. She was also a 2018-2019 participant in the London Symphony Orchestra's Panufnik Scheme, where she worked under the guidance of Colin Matthews and Christian Mason.
