Perseus is the famous Greek hero who saved Princess Andromeda,as she was about to be sacrificed to the sea monster Kraken. SatoshiYagisawa was inspired by the story of Perseus, which was madefamous in the 1980’s movie Clash of the Titans. The music is full ofdrama and it is easy to imagine the dark underworld as monstersbattle to survive. The members of your band can sing the choirparts, adding to the fun of this epic tale! Satoshi Yagisawa werd voor zijn compositie ge nspireerd door de film Clash of the Titans, die is gebaseerd op de mythe van de Griekse held Perseus. Dirigent Yasuhara zei over Perseus: “De mogelijkheden voor de jongeblazers zijn eindeloos. Satoshi Yagisawa a choisi d’illustrer Persée, une constellation qui doit son nom au célèbre héros grec qui délivra la princesse Andromède, offerte en sacrifice au monstre marin Cetus (ou Kraken). Pour ce faire, Satoshi Yagisawa s’est largement inspiré du film britannique Le Choc des Titans (1981) du réalisateur Desmond Davis, avec une musique dramatique qui devrait convenir de nombreuses formations.
