| A Sevenoaks Suite Concert band [Score] - Intermediate Anglo Music
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-472-140 Composed by Philip Sp...(+)
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-472-140 Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Midway Series. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2019. 50 pages. Anglo Music Press #AMP 472-140. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-472-140). English-German-French-Dutch. A Sevenoaks Suite was commissioned by the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band from Kent in the south-east of England. The suite describes 3 famous landmarks in the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge area: ‘Knole Park’, situated to the south-east of Sevenoaks. ‘The Chapel - Tonbridge School’: This movement centres around a hymn-like chorale, depicting the years of worship that have taken place within the chapel, and ‘The Vine Bandstand’ suggesting the type of music often played in bandstands. It is in march form, but is not actually a march throughout, veering off into other styles before ending emphatically.
$35.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

| Lucrezia Borgia - Vocal Score - Critical Edition By R. Parker And R. Ward Piano, Voice - Intermediate Ricordi
Voice and Piano - intermediate SKU: HL.50603593 Ed. crit. R. Parker-R....(+)
Voice and Piano - intermediate SKU: HL.50603593 Ed. crit. R. Parker-R. Ward - Riduzione per canto e pianoforte. Composed by Gaetano Donizetti. Ricordi. Softcover. Composed 2020. Ricordi #CP14161600. Published by Ricordi (HL.50603593). ISBN 9788881920709. UPC: 840126945102. 8.0x10.5x1.3 inches. Italian-English. Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia was premiered at Milan's Teatro alla Scala on 26 December 1833 and is considered one of the composer's most important and innovative operas of the 1830s. Although, because of censorship issues, particularly in the south of Italy, it was initially slow to become popular, by the late 1830s it had become one of the composer's most popular operas, both in Italy and abroad, and remained an essential part of the composer's oeuvre until at least the end of the nineteenth century. Remarkable for its daring subject matter (with an unconventional, forceful heroine), it is also renowned for its challenging mixture of the comic and the tragic, something very unusual at the time and clearly an important influence on Giuseppe Verdi's middle period masterpieces. The present reduction for voice and piano derives from the critical edition of the score, recently published in this catalog: is based on Donizetti's autograph manuscript (housed in the Ricordi Archives in Milan), on the libretto for the premiere, on several printed editions of voice and piano, and on numerous additional scores of the period. It presents for the first time all the numerous additions that the composer made to the score over the course of ten years: a fascinating record of his changing music dramatic attitudes during this period. There is also a synthetic historical reconstruction of the genesis of the opera and of the description of the Sources as well as a selection of most interest to singers of Critical Commentary Notes.
$44.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Published by Carl Fischer Music (CF.CPS263F). ISBN 9781491161739. UPC: 680160920426. Notes The Teton Range is part of the Rocky Mountain chain just east of the Idaho border and south of Yellowstone National Park. The name of this majestic range has its roots in the Shoshone teewinet, meaning many pinnacles. Performance Suggestions: The opening measures of The Grand Tetons should be played broadly and majestically. At m. 14, the tempo is indicated at q = 132 and is introduced by a light snare drum figure. The low brass figures at m.18 are to be played softly and broadly in contrast to the lighter and slightly louder high woodwinds. This entire section builds to a climax at m.44. Note the dynamic contrasts in the mixed meter section after m. 53. at 67, the trombone and horn figures should be evident but not overbearing against the lightly played trumpet solo. The 2 measure mixed meter (6/8) (3/4) theme introduced at m.88 should be performed by exaggerating the dotted 8th-16th rhythm, thereby creating a slight swing and dance-like feeling. At m.109, the 8th notes become even and the theme more strident and energetic, with the ritard returning Tetons to the opening theme at m.129. Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-392-010 Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Midway Series. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2014. Anglo Music Press #AMP 392-010. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-392-010). English-German-French-Dutch. The work opens with a stern fanfare in bare fifths, which leads to a cantabile theme introduced by alto saxophone. This builds to a climax and reintroduces the fanfare, which slowly evolves into the subsequent vivo. A perky tune emerges on flute, saxophone and trumpet, which, after a short bridge passage, leads to a contrasting melody on low clarinets and saxophones. After some development a true ‘second subject’ appears for the whole band. A recapitulation leads briefly back to the opening fanfare before the vivo returns to close the work in celebratory mood.
$196.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
