TCW Resources exists to create music teaching materials designed to inspire teachers and students to reach beyond the ordinary. We are committed to producing quality products that utilize sound educational principles. With the knowledge that music can enhance every child's life, we offer students and teachers fresh new tools that will promote their love of music and make music a valued gift for the rest of their lives.
TCW Resources was founded in 1993 by Laura G. Zisette, Charlene Zundel, and Kathleen Lloyd to create teaching materials that are thorough, easy to use, and fun and stimulating for students. The materials are age- and level-appropriate, well-paced, and employ multiple approaches to accommodate varied learning styles.
TCW materials are piloted through the Utah State University Youth Conservatory, a music preparatory program for community children. This conservatory serves over 250 students, ages 5-18, through group theory classes and individual piano lessons. Its curriculum offers weekly group theory classes and individual piano lessons as well as many other extra-curricular programs. The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) stated that the USUYC should be a national model for music preparatory programs.
TCW materials are used in many other preparatory programs and conservatories around the United States and Canada.

The European Hymn is the hymn not only of the European Union but of Europe in a broader sense. The melody has been taken from the Ninth Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven from 1823.In the last movement of this symphony Beethoven set music to the 'Ode to Joy' by Friedrich von Schiller from 1785. This poem sprang from Schiller's idealistic vision of men who become brothers - a vision Beethoven shared with him.In 1972 the Council of Europe adopted Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' as its anthem. The well-known conductor Herbert von Karajan was commissioned to arrange three instrumental versions - for solo piano, wind orchestra and symphony orchestra. Without words, in the universal language of music, the anthem is an expression of the idealistic values of freedom, peace and solidarity which Europe stands for.In 1985 the heads of state and government adopted the hymn as the EU's official anthem. It does not replace the national anthems of the member states, but rather celebrates common values as well as unity in diversity.The score of this offical anthem is exclusively available from the Schott publishing house.

Since then, in 1979 the song was declared the official state anthem for Georgia in the United States. Top arranger Peter Kleine Schaars has now made an amazing arrangement for band using the Ray Charles version it’s so close to the original that you can still feel the vibe of the 60s.Deze jazzballad uit 1930 is waarschijnlijk een van de meest gecoverde standards aller tijden. Composer James Reese Europe, one of the most famous African-American musicians of his day, was called the Martin Luther King of music by pianist Eubie Blake. The first African-American bandmaster in the United States Army, Europe gained great popularity as a dance band leader, a military band leader, recording artist, and a composer of merit. Known in New York music circles, and also for touring Europe with his National Guard band, Europe is remembered today for composing several works, including Castles In Europe with the subtitle The Innovation Trot - Ragtime March. This delightful work is arranged for todayâ??s concert band by Chandler L. Wilson. An enjoyable ragtime work from an American composer to be remembered!

Some of my favorite Christmas carols are used to create this concert arrangement for standard brass quintet. - Michael KibbeMichael Kibbe, composer, has a total creative output is over 220 concert works, including two string quartets, 13 wind quintets, a large variety of mixed chamber music for winds, strings, brass, harp, keyboards and percussion. His catalogue includes works for band, orchestra and concertos. Kibbe's compositions have been performed throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe, Israel and China. Kibbe has written in numerous styles varying from Neo-Classical and Neo-Romantic to non-diatonic and minimalist. He plays most of the standard woodwind instruments, which has been a great help in composing, and has done live performing and recording work in Los Angeles for over 40 years, in addition to having been active as a music copyist for film, TV and live performance. For 17 years he was oboist and arranger with the Los Angeles based North Wind Quintet, which did hundreds of school programs and toured Mexico 3 times.
