| Five Divertimenti for Euphonium Trio 3 Euphoniums [Score and Parts] - Advanced Cherry Classics
Euphonium Trio - Advanced SKU: CY.CC3070 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Moz...(+)
Euphonium Trio - Advanced SKU: CY.CC3070 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ralph Sauer. Classical. Score and Parts. Cherry Classics #CC3070. Published by Cherry Classics (CY.CC3070). ISBN 9790530110478. 8.5 x 11 in inches. The Five Divertimenti K. 439b consists of 25 pieces originally scored for two clarinets or basset horns and bassoon. It is assumed that Mozart wrote these works for the Stadler brothers, Anton (famous for the Clarinet Concerto) and Johann. Originally scored in C major (Mr. Sauer has arranged them in keys that are more suitable for the Euphonium), the 25 pieces were grouped into five movements each. The styles of the movements include Sonata-allegro, Minuet and Trio, Larghetto, Adagio, Rondo and even a Polonaise. This collection of the Five Divertimenti is an immense amount (about 45 minutes and 120 pages total) of very entertaining music, all beautifully arranged by Ralph Sauer for three advanced performers. The third part may be performed on the Tuba. $37.50 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Chorus and Piano is a four-movement set, based on the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay. Ewazen has long been enamored with her poetry's wonderfully vivid and descriptive imagery of nature and emotions, and its powerful and profound meaning. The second movement, MARIPOSA celebrates nature, wandering through a field of white and blue butterflies appearing wondrously, with rich chords and arpeggios. Yet also stepping back, the fleeting nature of life is the reality, with gentle, somber chords interspersed with the magical flight of the Mariposa. Program Notes by Eric EwazenSECOND APRIL for S.A.T.B. Chorus and Piano is a four-movement set, based on the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay. I have long been enamored with the poetry of Millay for its wonderfully vivid and descriptive imagery, and its often powerful and profound meaning. Millay’s descriptions of nature, and of feelings and emotions, have always spoken to me. SECOND APRIL consists of four of her poems, each with a distinctive mood, message, and emotional feel. They are vivid, powerful, and beautiful, inspiring me to capture these descriptions of the various scenes she portrays. Song of a Second April uses music to underlie strong feelings, passions, and the tragedies of life. The poem itself is dramatic, detailing a time of personal strife and tragedy, perhaps the end of a relationship or even the end of a life. The music is intense, fast, in a minor key, and with rapid, spinning notes creating a feeling of powerful, relentless emotions. Melodies, motives, and gestures are tossed between the voices, increasing the feelings of intensity and even desperation. Little by little, the music almost dies away, getting quieter and quieter, creating a feeling of resignation, but with a Picardy Third in the final chord – maybe a bit of hope! Mariposa is a celebration of nature, wandering through a field with white and blue butterflies appearing almost wondrously. But there’s also a profound feeling of poignancy, noting that as one relishes such a beautiful, magical sight, they should embrace the experience – the fleeting, transient nature of such a perfect vision and of life itself. The music portrays the flying of the butterflies: gentle, beautiful, with rich chords and arpeggios, but stepping back, as the fleeting nature of life is the reality, with gentle, but sombre chords interspersed with the magical flight of the Mariposa.Alms is a fast rondo, intense, bold, and always dance-like. It is about both tragedy and resilience. This music is also in minor, yet with moments of playfulness, as a recollection of happy times or moments takes over. This seesaw between emotions is heard throughout the movement, as the music continues to “dance.” And with Millay’s summing up of “reality being what it is,” the piece ends with strength, boldness, and finality. Into the Golden Vessel of Great Song is an appassionato call to overcome! The poem exhorts us to “sing out” with hope, determination, and strength. The music is full of bright and lilting energy; but as the turmoil and times of strife people can sometimes feel or experience, the music becomes intense, dramatic, in a minor key, and with changing rhythms. BUT, there is a return to championing the idea of simply overcoming, going forward with hope and determination, and the music is in major, resonant and strong. . $2.50 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 1 to 2 weeks

Bassoon and Piano SKU: ST.C184 Composed by Graham Sheen. Wind & brass music. Clifton Edition #C184. Published by Clifton Edition (ST.C184). ISBN 9790570811847. March of the Day The subtitle says it all, I think. The piece has three main ideas each in the contrasting keys of Bb, Eb and F majors. Can you find a different character for each one? The danger for bassoonists in this sort of piece is that everything can sound accented, so be careful to follow the articulation marks as closely as you can.
Rondolettinetto This is all about building phrases through repetition. It relies largely, therefore, on control of the sound. Try to achieve a really obvious contrast of character between the opening phrases and the less refined con spirito episode. This might be played just a touch faster than the opening and closing sections, if you wish. There is a hint of gentle parody in this piece if you can find a way of expressing that too.
Sand-dance Kid This piece stretches the compass and range of expression even further. There are very obvious contrasts of staccato and legato and the phrase lengths of the middle section are far from regular. Try to scale down the dynamics at the end so that you end as softly as you can play. Three Pieces for Bassoon and Piano

UPC: 888680857073. 9.0x12.0x0.114 inches. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's (1756-1791) Flute Concerto in G was written by the composer in 1778. The Concerto remains widely studied and performed on the Flute, making it one of the most important Concerti in the instrument's repertoire. Concerto in G is in three movements; 1. Allegro maestoso, 2. Adagio ma non troppo, and 3. Rondo: Tempo di Menuetto. The first and last movements are in the tonic key, whilst the second movement is in the subdominant key of D major. A Dutch flautist of the time, Ferdinand de Jean, commissioned Mozart for four Flute quartets and three Flute concerti. However, the composer, who famously disliked the Flute, only completed three quartets and two concertos. Instead of composing a second concerto, Mozart rearranged his Oboe Concerto, with substantial changes for it to fit with the Flute. This edition of Mozart's Concerto in G includes cadences by virtuosos Taffanel, Gaubert and Bozza, making for an unmissable version of the famed work. . $44.70 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

UPC: 841886030688. 9.0x12.0x0.233 inches. As implied by the title Sonatina facile, this piano piece is an homage to Mozart's famous Sonata in C major K. 545. Not only are the movement headings Allegro - Andante - Rondo identical, but Jörg Widmann also explores Mozart's stylistic qualities, while playing with the ideals of Neoclassicism. In the outer movements, the themes from K. 545 appear repeatedly alongside typical figures from the Mozart's time such as the famous Alberti bass in the accompaniment. From time to time, the piece distances itself far from the concept of simplicity: the complexity of the piano texture and wild expressive, tempo and dynamic changes sporadically lead the “facile†ad absurbum. $29.99 - See more - Buy online
