De Haske Publications #DHP 1196179-015. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1196179-015). English-German-French-Dutch. The title of this work is based on the name of the commissioning band: Music Society Asaf (Dutch for Asaph). In the Hebrew Bible, the poet, singer and seer Asaph is in charge of the choir in the house of King David. Various psalms, including Psalm 81, which is used in this work, are attributed to him. The melody of this psalm is flanked by a march-like initial part, and the traditional klezmer melody ‘Uri Tzion’ features as a spectacular finale.
$125.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

The tune is an adaptation of an old ‘shchedrivka’, a song traditionally sung on Ukrainian New Year’s Eve (January 13th) which hopes for good fortune in the year to come. In Shchedryk, Leontovych added his own the lyrics which concern the legend claiming that when Jesus was born, all the bells on earth started ringing in his honour. The tune has since been the inspiration of at least four different Christmas carols, but Philip Sparke has sourced the originalUkrainian melody to create this stirring arrangement.

The First Nowell is a traditional Christmas song that can be traced back to the 18th century. The word â??nowellâ? is in fact derived the French word for Christmas, â??noelâ?. The First Nowell is sung in Englishspeaking countries around the world, although the actual text may vary by region and local customs. The First Nowell ist ein traditionelles Weihnachtslied, das vermutlich aus dem Cornwall des 18. Jahrhunderts stammt.
(appunto Natale). Brass Band - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-335-030 Composed by Philip Sparke. Ceremonial Series. March. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2012. Anglo Music Press #AMP 335-030. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-335-030). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Marcho Brioso was commissioned by The Brioso Brass, a British-style brass band from Hokkaido, Japan. They gave the first performance in January 2012.The commission was for a bright and breezy march that the band could use as their theme tune, so Marcho Brioso falls into the composer’s series of Broadway-style marches, which includes Slipstream, The Bandwagon and Jubiloso. After a short introduction a solo cornet plays the main theme, accompanied by a euphonium counter-melody. A secondary phrase from the horns and baritones leads to a tutti version of the main theme which is followed by the traditional ‘bass’ strain. A change of key heralds thetrio section, which features a cantabile melody on euphonium; this is then taken up by the full band after a short bridge passage and further change of key. This takes us back to the home key which sees a quiet staccato version of the main theme lead to a recapitulation and a short coda which brings the march to a close.
$75.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Based on the traditional Japanese tune â??Suiryo-Bushi,â? Reflections on an Old Japanese Folk Song opens with two contrasting statements of the melody - first sparsely presented by the woodwinds and then in a harmonized version played by the full band. This is followed by a lively section based on pentatonic melodies that characterize the folk tune. The following slower variation first centers around a plaintive English horn melody made up of sections of the original tune, and later presents the opening phrases of â??Suiryo-Bushiâ? against an intensely florid accompaniment. The final section is in the form of a scherzo that eventually forms the accompaniment to a final presentation of the folk tune. Concert Band/Harmonie/Fanfare Band - Grade 2 SKU: BT.DHP-1115068-015 Arranged by Lorenzo Bocci. Flexible 4 Series. Christmas. Set (Score and Parts). Composed 2011. De Haske Publications #DHP 1115068-015. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1115068-015). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The simple and beautiful melody has made this carol a Christmas favourite. Lorenzo Bocci turns the melody into an elegant flexible four-part arrangement.
The First Nowell ist ein traditionelles Weihnachtslied, das vermutlich aus dem Cornwall des 18. Jahrhunderts stammt.

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.DHP-1074289-010 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. Inspiration Series. Concert Piece. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2007. De Haske Publications #DHP 1074289-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1074289-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. In Dublin Dances Jan Van der Roost has combined three well-known traditional Irish melodies to form an attractive medley. The medley contains Brian Boru’s March, a melody made popular by worldfamous flautist James Galway, followed bythe atmospheric tune The Minstrel Man and, as a cheerful finale, The Irish Washerwoman. Add a little magic from the Emerald Isle to your concert with this rousing medley.
$181.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Brass Band - Grade 2 SKU: BT.DHP-0910313-030 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Jacob De Haan. Musica Sacra. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 1991. De Haske Publications #DHP 0910313-030. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-0910313-030). The lyrics to Der Mond ist aufgegangen (The Moon Is Risen) come from Matthias Claudius, one of Germany’s best-known poets. The 1779 poem with the original title Abendlied (Evening song) was set to music by Johann Abraham Peter Schulz and has become perhaps the most famous Abendlied in the German-speaking world. Johann de Haan has created a delightful arrangement of this poignant melody. The wind orchestra can optionally be accompanied by a choir (Dutch and German texts are provided).
